Sephora by OPI "Sample Sale"

Hey all and happy Sunday!  It has been a very busy week - but here's to a sunshine-y relaxing day!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Sample Sale" which is a retired brand that used to be sold at Sephora.  This shimmery polish looks so pretty in the bottle:

"Sample Sale" is a stunning Christmas-y red shimmer.  The formula of this polish was good and it applied well to my nail.  Because this is a miniature bottle I did struggle to get enough polish on the brush each time, but that is such a minute problem.  After two coats, "Sample Sale" was opaque and looked fantastic on my nails!  Look at this shimmer up close:

Overall Sephora by OPI's "Sample Sale" is a really great polish.  I've had this color in my collection for ages and this was the first time I actually wore it.  And I can definitely say it won't be my last!  I just adore this Christmas-y red shimmer!

Color Club "Surf's Up"

Hello all and happy Sunday!  Is anyone else enjoying a long holiday weekend?  Today's second nail polish is Color Club's "Surf's Up" which is a lovely Summertime color.  Look at this beauty:

"Surf's Up" is a really pretty bright purple creme.  The formula of this nail polish was wonderful and applied nicely.  After two coats "Surf's Up" was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Surf's Up" for three days before there were a couple of minor tip chips.  See how pretty this purple is up close:

Overall I am really happy with Color Club's "Surf's Up."  I absolutely love this bright Summertime color!  I cannot wait until the weather warms up as this may be my go-to for the Summer!

Mani x Me December 2019 Box

Hello guys and happy Sunday!  Today's first post features Maniology's Mani x Me monthly subscription box.  December 2019's box was themed in turquoise and gemstones.  Each box includes two stamping nail polishes, two stamping plates, an extra nail art supply and candy.  Here are this month's polishes:

"Pewter" and "Turquoise"

The first plate is MXM021 which features a variety of gemstone shapes that can create endless looks. I cannot wait to try this plate out!

The second plate is MXM022 which has more gemstones and a few larger marbling options.  It is so pretty:

This month's extra was a rose quartz stamping polish palette, but my box didn't have one in it.  (More comical than anything else!)  The palette looked super pretty and hopefully they'll do another one in a future box!

Overall I really liked this month's box - it was a great way to finish out 2019.  I cannot wait to try out the gemstones and marbling!  (Look of that nail art later this year!)

Illimité "Prickly Pear"

Hi everyone and happy Sunday!  We're having oddly warm weather for January so I picked out a pretty Springtime color!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Illimité's "Prickly Pear."  Look at this pretty purple shimmer in the bottle:

"Prickly Pear" is a lovely dark fuchsia with silver and gold glittery flecks.  The formula of "Prickly Pear" was slightly thick but it still applied well to my nails.  After two coats the polish was entirely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five days before I saw any small chips.  Look at this gorgeousness up close:

Overall I am really pleased with Illimité's "Prickly Pear."  Everything about this nail polish is really great and I cannot wait to wear this polish a lot more often!

Essie "Birthday Girl"

Hi guys and happy 2020!  I hope everyone had fun ringing in the new decade and has a wonderful year!  Since my birthday was last week I decided to wear today's nail polish to celebrate it!  So without further ado, today's polish is Essie's "Birthday Girl."  Look at this pretty in the bottle:

"Birthday Girl" is a really pretty baby pink shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish is absolutely fabulous and it applied easily to my nails.  After four thin coats "Birthday Girl" was completely opaque and streak free.  "Birthday Girl" wore really well on my nails and will be a nice Springtime color!  Look at this lovely up close:

Overall I am thrilled with Essie's "Birthday Girl."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I can't wait to wear it again and again!
