Sinful Colors "Purplexed"

Hey everyone and happy Thursday!  Without further ado, today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Purplexed" which is an affordable drugstore brand.  Here's how this purple looks in the bottle:

"Purplexed" is unsurprisingly a pastel purple, with the twist of it having a matte finish!  The formula of this nail polish is fantastic and it applied so well to my nails.  Mattes have a tendency to streak more for me but not "Perplexed" after three coats it was fully opaque and had no streaks!  Look at this gorgeous matte up close:

After seeing how stunning "Purplexed" was matte I decided to add a shiny top coat to see how it looked.  I was not disappointed with this shiny finish either - though the matte is still my favorite!  I used Orly's Sec'N'Dry as my shiny top coat.  Look how pretty the shiny finish on "Perplexed" is:

Overall I am in love with Sinful Colors "Purplexed."  Absolutely everything about this nail polish is perfect and I am so happy to have it in my collection.  I cannot wait to wear this matte polish again soon!

Mani x Me July 2021 Box

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day!  Today's post is a throw back (since I am back logged) of Maniology's Mani x Me July 2021 box.  This is a monthly subscription box that has a new theme every month and features two stamping nail polish, two stamping plates and surprise nail polish item.  July 2021's theme was mandalas, which is such a gorgeous concept!  Here are this month's nail polishes:

"Hatha" and "Prana"

This month's nail polishes are super pretty!  "Hatha" is a bright orange creamsicle creme and "Prana" is a gorgeous turquoise with silver shimmer!  The first stamping plate for July 2021 is MXM059 which features, unsurprisingly, many Mandelas as well as other henna designs.  This plate is gorgeous!

The second stamping pate for this month is MXM060.  This plate features even more mandalas as well as a variety if animals - including a flamingo, which is my all-time favorite animal.  This is actually on elf my favorite plates to date:

The extra nail art item for July 2021 is this cute pineapple scrapper holder.  I have been needing one of these for ages as my scrapper often tends to run away or get stuck to my desk.  The bright colors make this pineapple extra adorable:

Overall I am so thrilled with this month's Mani x Me box!  I am always impressed with the new themes, designs and nail polish colors!  I cannot wait to create some amazing Mandela designs soon!

NAIL ART: Valentine's Day Hearts

Hi guys and Happy Valentine's Day!  To celebrate the festive day of love I decided to try out a very basic heart nail art.  I started with two nail polishes - Color Club "Star Light, Star Bright" and China Glaze "Living In The Elmo-ment."  Here are the nail polishes in the bottles:

To start the nail art design I used two coats of Color Club's "Star Light, Star Bright."  Here's how the gold holographic base looks:

Next I used a dotting tool to place two dots next to each other with China Glaze's "Living In The Elmo-ment."  Here are how the dots turned out:

After adding the dots I used the same dotting tool to extend the dots into red hearts.  After a quick drying top coat my basic heart nails were complete:

Overall I am really pleased with how this very simple nail art turned out.  It's been a long time since I have attempted any designs so I wanted to go simple - and I have no regrets.  These nails are perfect for today!

OPI "OPI Grabs The Unicorn By The Horn"

Hi all and happy Thursday (Friday Eve!)  Today's nail polish is OPI's "OPI Grabs The Unicorn By The Horn" which is from their Scottish collection a few seasons back.  Here's how this pretty looks in the bottle:

"OPI Grabs TheUnicorn By The Horn" is a bright blue creme.  The formula of this polish is slightly watery but it stilled applied well to my nails.  After three coats "OPI Grabs The Unicorns By The Horn" was entirely opaque and completely streak free.  Here's how this pretty looks up close:

Overall I am pleased with OPI's "OPI Grabs The Unicorn By The Horn."  This nail polish is so pretty and I cannot wait to wear this color again this Summer!

'Ard As Nails "Dwarka"

Hey everyone and happy Sunday!  Today's nail polish is 'Ard As Nails "Dwarka" which I purchased in a Polish Pick-Up in 2020.  'Ard As Nails" is an indie brand of polish from the UK and it looks like this in the bottle:

"Dwarka" is a stunning purple/green color shifting iridescent glitter.  It is an absolutely gorgeous nail polish that is unlike any other polish in my collection. The formula of "Dwarka" is slightly on the thinner side, but it is very easy to apply and the flakies spread evenly across my nails without any effort.  Since I applied thinner coats it took 4 coats to look opaque, however it looked amazing with less coats as it created a sheerer look.  Here's how "Dwarka" looks up close:

Overall 'Ard As Nails" "Dwarka" is such a fabulous nail polish - the uniqueness of the color shift with flakies is unmatched!  I cannot wait to wear this polish again very very soon!

Essie "Seeing Stars"

Hello all and happy happy Friday!  Today's nail polish is Essie's "Seeing Stars" which is the perfect Autumn and Winter color!  Here's how this pretty is in the bottle:

"Seeing Stars" is a really pretty dark brown creme with brown and copper shimmer.  It is literally the most perfect brown polish I have in my collection!  The formula of "Seeing Stars" is great and it applies easily to my nails.  "Seeing Stars" was also entirely opaque and streak free after only a single coat, though I always apply two coats to my nails.  Here's how this polish looks up close:

Overall I am in love with Essie's "Seeing Stars."  Absolutely everything about this nail polish is great and I plan to wear it more often this Winter!

China Glaze "In The Near Fuchsia"

Hi guys and happy Thursday!  Today's second post features China Glaze's "In The Near Fuchsia" which I have had in my collection for ages (like the college days!).  Here's how this pretty looks in the bottle:

"In The Near Fuchsia" is a pretty bright fuchsia creme.  The formula of this nail polish is lovely and can almost be worn with only a single coat!  I applied a second coat to even out a few spots on my nails but after that it was perfect and streak free.  Here's how this beauty looks up close:

Overall I am thrilled with China Glaze's "In The Near Fuchsia."  I am amazed at how lovely this polish is and how after being in my collection for years the formula is still perfect!  I will continue to wear "In The Near Fuchsia" regularly.

Mani x Me June 2021 Box

Hey everyone and happy Thursday!  (Who else is ready for the weekend?)  Today's "throwback" post features Maniology's Mani x Me subscription box from June 2021.  Each month has a theme, this month's was pirates, and features two stamping nail polishes, two stamping plates and a surprise extra item.  Here are this month's nail polishes:

"Lost Gold" and "Flotsam"

This month's nail polish are gorgeous and fit the theme to a tee.  "Lost Gold" is a gorgeous golden shimmer and "Flotsam" is the perfect bright royal blue.  This month's first stamping plate is MXM057 which features all sorts of mythical sea creatures that pirates would encounter:

June's second stamping plate is MXM058 which has several full nail designs and an adorable treasure map scene!  This plate is my favorite this month:

This month's extra nail item is a stainless steal cuticle pusher which I have been needing for a long time!  And it is a gorgeous color shifting design!  Just look at how awesome it is:

Once again I am totally in love with this month's Mani x Me subscription box.  Also I love pirates so this was a dream theme for me!  I cannot wait to rock some pirate nails this Summer!

Jriene "Temple Of Temptation"

Hello all and happy Wednesday!  Today's nail polish is Jriene "Temple Of Temptation" which was purchased from a Polish Pick-Up in the last year or two.  I have never tried this brand before and I am so thrilled to have added this polish to my collection!  Here's how this gorgeous indie polish looks in the bottle:

"Temple Of Temptation" is a stunning hot pink with color shifting glitter/shimmer.  This nail polish is absolutely stunning - the photos do not even do it justice!  The formula of "Temple Of Temptation" is perfect and applied easily to my nail.  After two coats, "Temple Of Temptation" was completely opaque and had no streak marks.  Look at this amazing color shift looks up close:

Overall I am in love with Jriene's "Temple Of Temptation."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and is a great color to wear all year round!  This may even be my go to polish for Valentine's Day this year!

Mani x Me May 2021 Box

Hey everyone and happy Wednesday!  Here's another throwback for today's first post, which features Maniology's Mani x Me May 2021 Box.  This month's theme was inspired by stained glass - and it is so pretty!  Each box comes with two stamping polish, two stamping plates and a surprise extra item.  Here are this month's nail polishes:

"Shattered" and "Glass"

This month's polishes are "Shattered" a gorgeous purple with silver shimmer and "Glass" a lovely glassy turquoise color.  Both are stamping polishes.  These colors are some of my favorite ones I've ever received! Here is the first stamping plate:

MXM055 has some truly stunning animal themed stained glass designs.  I cannot wait to try out this plate because the designs are so detailed and pretty!  Here is the second plate:

MXM056 is another stunning plate with stained glass designs - only this time with flowers!  I cannot pick a favorite between these two plates!  Here is this month's extra:

This month's extra item is loose silver and holographic glitter!  The picture above does not even show how much holographic shimmer these flakes give off - it is amazing in the sunshine!

Overall I am absolutely thrilled with May's Mani x Me Box - this may be my favorite one yet!  I love receiving a new box in the mail each month - it's always a special treat.
