Ciaté "Pom Pom"
Hey guys and happy Wednesday! (We're halfway to the weekend!!) Today's nail polish is Ciaté's "Pom Pom" which came as part of one of their annual Advent Calendars. Here's how "Pom Pom" looks in the bottle:
"Pom Pom" is a happy cheerful red creme. The formula of this nail polish was absolutely amazing! After two coats, "Pom Pom" was completely opaque and streak free. As for chipping, I was able to wear this polish for four days before I had a couple minor chips. Look at this bright red up close:
Overall I am really pleased with Ciaté's "Pom Pom." Everything about this nail polish is wonderful and I think it is a great year-round color!

OPI "Danny & Sandy 4 Ever"
Hi all and happy Tuesday! Today's nail polish is OPI's "Danny & Sandy 4 Ever" from their Grease Collection. As someone who has always loved the movie Grease I was thrilled to grab this polish when the collection came out. Look how pretty this polish looks in the bottle:
"Danny & Sandy 4 Ever" is a deep dark navy blue with silver shimmer. It is such a dark blue that it almost looks black most of the time. The formula of "Danny & Sandy 4 Ever" was pretty good and applied nicely to my nails. After two coats, the polish was entirely opaque and had no visible streak marks. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Danny & Sandy 4 Ever" for five days before I noticed any chips. Look at this beauty up close:
Overall I am thrilled with OPI's "Danny & Sandy 4 Ever." Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I am looking forward to wearing this polish again soon!

L.A. Colors "L.A. Purple"
Hey guys and happy Saturday! I'm still in New Jersey for the rest of the day and having a blast! Today's nail polish is L.A. Colors "L.A. Purple" which my grandma gave me for Christmas last year. Here's how "L.A. Purple" looks in the bottle:
"L.A. Purple" is a dusty pastel purple creme. The formula of this polish was interesting since it was slightly clumpy and not very easy to apply. After two coats, the nail polish was not completely opaque but it was streak free. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "L.A.Purple" for two days before it began to flake off. Here's how pretty this purple looked up close:
Overall I have mixed feelings about L.A. Colors "L.A. Purple." This drugstore brand is not my favorite but it was an extremely thoughtful gift by my grandma and I enjoyed getting to try it out. That being said this purple polish will not be sticking around in my collection.

Essie "Off Tropic"
Hey all and welcome to the weekend! I'm in New Jersey for a long weekend, which is nicknamed The Garden State so I decided to break out some green nail polish for the occasion! So without further ado, today's nail polish is Essie's "Off Tropic." Look how this pretty looks in the bottle:
"Off Tropic" is a nice dark green creme. The formula of this nail polish leans towards the watery side but by wiping the brush on the bottle neck I was able to apply without too much effort. After a single coat "Off Tropic" was completely opaque and streak free, though I added a second coat for photos and wear time. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Off Tropic" for three days before there were some noticeable tip chips. Look at this wintergreen up close:
Overall I have mixed feelings about Essie's "Off Tropic." I love the color but the watery formula and how quickly it chipped were a bit disappointing. However the color is literally gorgeous and I don't have many dark green cremes in my collection.

Comparison: Ciaté "Prima Ballerina" vs. "Prima Ballerina"
Hi everyone and happy Thursday! (It's the weekend for me as I've gone out of state for a family reunion!) Today I am comparing Ciaté's "Prima Ballerina" from their 2014 Advent Calendar to "Prima Ballerina" from their 2015 Advent Calendar. Here is a side by side of the sets:
As you can see these two nail polishes are extremely different! I almost couldn't believe that they had two separate polishes (well polish and glitter) with the same name. "Prima Ballerina" 2014 is a hot pink glitter while "Prima Ballerina" 2015 is a light grey creme. Here's how the bottles stack up:
If you want to get a better look at either Ciate "Prima Ballerina" 2014 or Ciate "Prima Ballerina" 2015 check out some of my previous posts.
Overall I like that both the "Prima Ballerina" polishes are different but I am sure they could have not reused the same name twice!

China Glaze "Resting Grinch Face"
Hey guys and happy Tuesday! It has been pouring today so I needed some shimmer to brighten up the day! So without further ado, today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Resting Grinch Face" which I obviously needed in my collecting because of the name! (Who else is sassy too?) Look at this glittery goodness looks in the bottle:
"Resting Grinch Face" is a chunk rainbow glitter in a clear base coat. The formula of this nail polish was fantastic and it spread evenly on my nails. However since "Resting Grinch Face" is in a clear base coat I decided to test it out over a few creme polishes.
The first polish I tested out with "Resting Grinch Face" was Pacifica "Tourmaline" which created a very pretty look!
The second nail polish I tried out with "Resting Grinch Face" was Maniology's "Merlot." This combination was fun and festive! I really like how this combination turned out. Look at the rainbow glittery-ness up close:
If you want to know more about Pacifica "Tourmaline" or Maniology's "Merlot" then check out some of my previous posts!
Overall I am really pleased with China Glaze's "Resting Grinch Face." Everything about this fun glitter is perfect and I cannot wait to mix and match it with other creme polishes!

Illimité "Starry Night"
Hello guys and happy Sunday! (Where has the weekend gone?!?) Today's nail polish is Illimité's "Starry Night" which I purchased on Live Love Polish's website. Here's how "Starry Night" from their Van Gogh collection looks in the bottle:
"Starry Night" is a gorgeous dark blue with silver and gold iridescent glitter. The formula of this nail polish was really nice and it applied with ease. After three coats "Starry Night" was completely opaque and streak free. As for chipping, I was able to wear "Starry Night" for five nights before there were a couple of minor tip chips. Look at this glitter up close:
Overall I am really pleased with Illimité's "Starry Night." I absolutely adore the look of this nail polish and the fact that it is named after my favorite Van Gogh painting is just an added bonus!

Lisa Lacquer "Laffy Taffy"
Hey guys and happy Saturday! Today's post features another gorgeous indie brand - Lisa Lacquer! So without further ado here is Lisa Lacquer's "Laffy Taffy." Here's how pretty it is in the bottle:
"Laffy Taffy" is a lovely pastel purple creme that is absolutely perfect for Summer! The formula of this nail polish was slightly watery but very easy to apply in nice thin coats. After two coats, "Laffy Taffy" was fully opaque and streak free. As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five full days before I noticed any chips. Look at this pretty pastel up close:
Overall I am thrilled with Lisa Lacquer's "Laffy Taffy." Everything about this nail polish makes me smile from the gorgeous color to its long lasting wear time! I cannot wait to wear "Laffy Taffy" again soon!

Maniology "Merlot"
Hello all and happy Friday! I've taken a day off of work to catch mental break and I am thoroughly excited about it! Today's nail polish is Maniology's "Merlot" which I received as part of the November 2018 Mani x Me Box. Check out this gorgeous stamping polish:
"Merlot" is a stunning dark maroon colored stamping polish. The formula of "Merlot" was fantastic and applied with ease - though the brush is a bit wide for my nails. After two coats the nail polish was fully opaque and streak free. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Merlot" for four days before I noticed some tip chips. Look at this pretty color up close:
If you want to check out Maniology's Mani X Me boxes check out some previous months sets: January 2019, February 2019, March 2019, April 2019, May 2019 and June 2019.
Overall I am thrilled with Maniology's "Merlot." This color looks fantastic on my nails and it will be fun to test out stamped designs with! I look forward to having this nail polish in my collection for a long time.

Gilmore Girls Nail Art
Hey all and happy Thursday! Today's nail art is based on my favorite TV show of all time - Gilmore Girls. I adore this show as it carried me through my high school and college years. One of my favorite locations from the show was Luke's Diner so today's nail art is recreating the diner's logo. First I selected nail polish:
OPI "Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet" and Pahlish "Gryffindor."
After selecting nail polishes I painted two coats of OPI's "Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet" as the base color since the diner has a yellow tea cup sign. Here's how my nails looked:
Next I used a small paint brush to spell out Luke's using Pahlish's "Gryffindor." The letters turned out really nicely and completed the design nicely. Here's an up close of the letters:
If you want to know more about OPI's "Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet" then check out my post from earlier this year!
Overall I like how my Luke's Diner logo turned out - though now I am itching to tryout some other designs from Gilmore Girls.

Ciaté "Twinkle Toes"
Hey everyone and happy Wednesday! Sorry for going MIA for a couple of weeks but life had run amok and I needed a small break to recharge. (But I'm back now!) Today instead of a nail polish - I have a loose glitter, Ciaté's "Twinkle Toes." Look at this pretty glitter in the bottle:
Since "Twinkle Toes" is a lose glitter I wanted to create some simple nail art with it! So I decided to test it out over OPI's "Teal the Cows Come Home" which is a love turquoise shimmer. First my nails looked like this:
Next I used some basic tape to create diagonal steps for each of my nails. Then I added the glitter to each nail to create the final design:
I mean seriously look how pretty this glitter is up close! It is drool worthy:
If you want to know more about OPI's "Teal The Cows Come Home" check out my post from earlier this week!
Overall I am thrilled with Ciaté's "Twinkle Toes" - it may actually be the first loose glitter I have really liked! The design turned out lovely too, which was an added bonus.

OPI "Teal The Cows Come Home"
Hello guys and happy Sunday! Today's nail polish is OPI's "Teal The Cows Come Home" which is one of the oldest bottles in my collection. I have long loved this polish because the name is adorable and the color is one of my all time favorites! I mean just look at this stunner in the bottle:
"Teal The Cows Come Home" is a teal/turquoise polish with a blue and yellow shimmer. It is always my go to during the Summertime (and any other time I want to pretend it is Summer!) The formula of "Teal The Cows Come Home" is perfect - it applies with ease. After two coats, the nail polish was completely opaque and streak free. As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for a full week before there were a couple minuscule tip chips. Look at the shimmer:
Overall I am thrilled with OPI's "Teal The Cows Come Home" as it continues to be one of my all time favorite nail polishes. Every time I wear this polish it makes me happy and brings me joy - so needless to say it won't be leaving my collection any time soon!

Moon Shine Mani "You Are Now Prepared!"
Hi all and happy happy Saturday! Today's blog features an indie brand - Moon Shine Mani, which I have been wanting to try for ages! I love wearing indie brands as their nail polishes tend to be more unique. So without further ado, today's nail polish is Moon Shine Mani's "You Are Now Prepared!" which looks like this in the bottle:
"You Are Now Prepared!" is a unique army green with green flakies - it is so pretty! The formula of this nail polish is great and it applied to my nails with ease. I applied three thin coats "You Are Now Prepared!" which made the nail polish fully opaque and streak free! I was able to wear this polish for six full days before I noticed any chips. Look at those stunning flakies up close:
Overall I cannot say enough wonderful things about Moon Shine Mani's "You Are Now Prepared!" and the brand as a whole! This nail polish is uniquely gorgeous and the quality is top notch! I plan to wear this polish over and over again and I will be buying more colors from Moon Shine Mani!

Essie "Raise Awareness"
Hey everyone and happy Friday! With the 4th of July being in the middle of the week today was such an odd day - it felt like a one day work week But without further ado, today's nail polish is Essie's "Raise Awareness" which came out as part of a Breast Cancer Awareness collection. Here's how this pretty polish looks in the bottle:
"Raise Awareness" is a pretty pastel pink creme. The formula of this nail polish was watery and I had to wipe the brush to not flood my nail beds. After two coats, "Raise Awareness" was a bit streaky and not opaque - so I decided to add an additional coat. The third coat made all the difference and "Raise Awareness" was opaque and streak free. As for chipping, I was able to wear this polish for three days before there were some chips. Here's how "Raise Awareness" looks up close:
Overall I have mixed feelings about Essie's "Raise Awareness." I love that it brings awareness to Breast Cancer and the pink color is perfect for Spring but the watery formula and need for a third coat is less than ideal. In the end I probably won't keep "Raise Awareness" in my collection as I have a lot of similar looking pink polishes with a better formula.

USA Flag Nails
Hello everyone and happy Thursday! Today's nail art celebrates the Forth of July, which is a US holiday that celebrates our independence from Britain. So I decided to create an ode to the US flag in honor of the holiday. Here are the nail polishes I selected:
Zoya "Sooki," Disney for Target "White," and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Royal Rage."
After selecting nail polishes I painted two coats of Disney for Target's "White on my middle, ring and pinky finger and three coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Royal Rage on my pointer finger. My nails then looked like this:
Next I used a small brush to draw on the red stripes with Zoya's "Sooki" and a dotting tool with Disney for Target's "White" to create the stars. Here's how the design looked up close:
If you want to know more about Zoya "Sooki" or Disney for Target "White" then check out some of my previous posts.
Overall I am really thrilled with how this patriotic design turned out. I hope everyone in the US enjoys the day off to celebrate!
