Essie "Turquoise & Caicos"

Hi everyone!  I am home from vacation now and I can't believe I have to go back to work tomorrow. I wish I could still be in the mountains!  But anyways, today's nail polish is Essie's "Turquoise & Caicos."

"Turquoise & Caicos" is a lovely aquamarine colored nail polish.  Formula wise, "Turquoise & Caicos" was good and applied pretty well.  However I did have to wipe the brush almost empty as to not flood my nail beds.  After two coats the polish was not at all opaque and you could still see my nail.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Turquoise & Caicos" for only only one day because it did not look great on my nails.  (That being said when I applied a third coat it looked and wore much better!)

In a previous post I compared Essie's "Turquoise & Caicos" to a few other aquamarine polishes to see if there were any dupes.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Essie's "Turquoise & Caicos."  I absolutely adore the color but it was annoying that even after thee coats there were still some visible streak marks.  I will probably stick to wearing the OPI dupe for "Turquoise & Caicos" that I have., however I would be willing to give this polish another go.

Sinful Colors "Treasure Chest"

Hello guys and happy happy Friday!  I had the day off of work and went to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.  (It is the largest privately owned home in the United States and a favorite place of mine!) So without further ado, today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Treasure Chest."

"Treasure Chest" is a gorgeous aquamarine colored blue polish with a silver shimmer that reminds me of the ocean!  Formula wise this nail polish was perfect and went on my nails without any trouble!  After two coats, "Treasure Chest" was entirely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this polish for four days before there were a few chips.

Overall I love Sinful Colors "Treasure Chest."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I can't wait to wear it again very soon!

Essie "Going Guru"

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday!  Today's nail polish is Essie's "Going Guru" which was part of Essie's 2016 Resort Collection. My "Going Guru" comes from the Resort Collection mini set which looks like this:

"Going Guru" is a gorgeous mint green colored polish and looks absolutely lovely against my slightly tanned self!  Formula wise this nail polish was very watery and took some patience to apply.  After two coats, "Going Guru" was surprisingly opaque, though there were.a couple of visible streak marks. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Going Guru" for three to four days before it began to flake off.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Essie's "Going Guru."  I adore the pistachio color but the formula was difficult to work with.  In the end I will probably give this nail polish another go and see if I have better luck next time.

China Glaze "Pink Or Swim"

Hello guys!  Hopefully we've all survived Monday.  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Pink Or Swim" which came as part of a mini collection called Roommates.  The set looks like this:

"Pink Or Swim" is a lovely, light, baby pink polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was perfect and extremely easy to apply.  After two coats, "Pink Or Swim" was entirely opaque and completely streak free, which is not always the case with pastel polishes.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five full days before I noticed any chips.

Overall I am really happy with China Glaze's "Pink Or Swim."  I absolutely love this nail polish because the color is so lovely and it was so easy to apply and wear!  I will definitely wear "Pink Or Swim" again very soon!

OPI "Love Athletes In Cleats"

Hi guys and happy happy Saturday!  (I was so ready for the weekend!)  Today's nail polish is OPI's "Love Athletes In Cleats."  As an avid fan of baseball I couldn't love this collection more!

"Love Athletes In Cleats" is a fun bright red nail polish with a hint of red shimmer.  Formula wise this polish was perfect and very easy to apply.  After only one coat, "Love Athletes In Cleats" was completely opaque and streak free.  However, I applied a second coat for the picture above.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five days before I noticed a couple of tiny chips.

Overall I am thrilled with OPI's "Love Athletes In Cleats."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I can't wait to wear it again!

Dupe Post: Deborah Lippmann "Happy Birthday" and Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie"

Hello all and happy Thursday!  Today's post is a comparison of Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday and Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie."  Both of these polish are rainbow colored glitter polishes that looked identical in the bottles.  Here is a side-by-side comparison of the bottles:

Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday" and Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie"

As you can see they polishes looked identical in the bottle and they were definitely identical on the nail.  Both of them are absolutely gorgeous but application wise Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie" was far superior as the glitter applied better.  The main difference would be the price - Deborah Lippmann runs about $18 (USD) a bottle where Nicole by OPI runs closer to $8 (USD) a bottle.

If you want to know more about Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday"  or Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie" check out my post from earlier this year!

Overall I love the chunky rainbow glitter that both of these polishes have!  However given the choice Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie" wins over Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday" based on price and application.

Love & Beauty "Aqua"

Hello guys and happy August!  Today's nail polish is Love & Beauty's "Aqua."  This nail polish is an older version of Forever 21's nail polish.  Forever 21 is a fun, inexpensive clothing store where I love buying most of my clothes and occasionally some nail polish!

"Love & Beauty's "Aqua" is predictably an aquamarine colored polish.  Formula wise, "Aqua" was surprisingly good seeing as it was less than $2 (USD) for the bottle!  After two coats, the nail polish was entirely opaque and had no noticeable streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Aqua" for three days before it began to chip off.

Overall I am pleased by Love & Beauty's "Aqua."  This polish is my favorite color of all time and I was happily surprised at how nice this polish was considering it was so inexpensive.  I will definitely wear this nail polish again!
