Love & Beauty "Red/White Glitter"

Hi all and happy Monday!  Today's nail polish is Love & Beauty's "Red/White Glitter."  This is a line of nail polish that is available at Forever 21 stores - I've had this one for ages so I'm not sure if they still carry it or not.  Here's how this glitter looks in the bottle:

"Red/White Glitter" is unsurprisingly a red and white glitter in a clear base.  The formula of this polish was thick, but that actually worked to its advantage because the glitter applied evenly to my nails.  As with all glitters in a clear base it is meant to be worn as a top coat - so I decided to test it out over a few colored polishes.

The first nail polish I tested with "Red/White Glitter" was Color Club "Meet Me At The Rink."  Honestly this combination is very pretty and perfect for 4th of July!  (Maybe next year we can actually celebrate!) Here's how pretty it looked:

Next I tested "Red/White Glitter" over OPI "Nice Set Of Pipes."  This combination is way more subdued - I'm not sure I really love how it turned out.  It was cute but I probably wouldn't try this look again:

The glitter in "Red/White Glitter" is very bright.  Look how gorgeous it is up close:

If you want to know more about Color Club "Meet Me At The Rink" or OPI "Nice Set Of Pipes" check out some of my previous posts!

Overall I am really impressed with Love & Beauty's "Red/White Glitter."  I love when a glitter applies evenly to my nails and the red and white color cane used for 4th of July or Christmas very easily.  This nail polish will be staying in my collection for a while to come!

Love & Beauty "Lavender/Multi"

Hello all and happy Thursday!  Today's nail polish is an old Forever 21 nail polish brand called Love & Beauty.  The color doesn't officially have a name on the bottle it just says "Lavender/Multi" - so that's what I'll be calling it in this post.

"Lavender/Multi" is a unique white creme with a lot of micro rainbow glitter.  It almost wants to look like robin's egg but not quite.  The formula was crazy thick (probably because it is super old) and did not apply easily.  After two coats "Lavender/Multi" was completely opaque but had some odd marks at the tips.  As for chipping, "Lavender/Multi" didn't make it long before coming off in chunks.

Overall Love & Beauty's "Lavender/Multi" was a different and inexpensive nail polish to try but it is definitely leaving my collection ASAP.

Love & Beauty "Mauve"

Hello everyone!  I can't believe Christmas is only SIX days away!  Today's nail polish is Love & Beauty's "Mauve" a pretty nail polish from Forever 21.

"Mauve" is a nice nude color with a hint of golden shimmer.  Formula wise, this nail polish was very nice and applied well.  After a single coat "Mauve" was entirely opaque, which is impressive for a $2 nail polish!  But as always I applied a second coat of polish for the photo.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Mauve" for four days before there were a few minor dings.

Overall I am very impressed by Love & Beauty's "Mauve."  This nail polish was a surprise winner that I will be sure to wear a lot more often.  And bonus it looks good with just about all my clothes!

Love & Beauty "Aqua"

Hello guys and happy August!  Today's nail polish is Love & Beauty's "Aqua."  This nail polish is an older version of Forever 21's nail polish.  Forever 21 is a fun, inexpensive clothing store where I love buying most of my clothes and occasionally some nail polish!

"Love & Beauty's "Aqua" is predictably an aquamarine colored polish.  Formula wise, "Aqua" was surprisingly good seeing as it was less than $2 (USD) for the bottle!  After two coats, the nail polish was entirely opaque and had no noticeable streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Aqua" for three days before it began to chip off.

Overall I am pleased by Love & Beauty's "Aqua."  This polish is my favorite color of all time and I was happily surprised at how nice this polish was considering it was so inexpensive.  I will definitely wear this nail polish again!

July Nail Art Post!!

Hi guys!  HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!  (If you live in the United States!)  I hope everyone is enjoying their BBQs and looking forward to the fireworks tonight!  I love fireworks and I can hardly wait!!  Anyways I haven't done any nail art lately and I have missed it so I decided to try out a very simply one for the 4th of July!  Here is the nail polish I picked out:

Sally Hansen "White On" and Forever 21's Love & Beauty "Multi"

Close up on Forever 21's Love & Beauty "Multi" label.  Since Forever 21 doesn't give their nail polishes real names it is hard to figure out which polish is which!

Basically this is just a glitter polish over a solid color polish, but it is the red, white and blue version!  I started out with two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On" which is my white nail polish of choice.  I find it to be relatively streak free and easy to control.  Plus it is very affordable at about $4 (US) a bottle.  After Sally Hansen "White On" had some time to dry I then applied one thick layer of Forever 21's Love & Beauty "Multi."  Now Love & Beauty "Multi" is red, magenta, blue and silver glitter in tiny dots and hexagonal glitters all in a clear base.  It is a very pretty glitter and definitely very patriotic!

Here's a few more pictures:

Overall I am very pleased with this fun, quick and easy nail art!  It was very simple and anyone who can paint nails can easily do this manicure!  I hope that everyone has a fabulous rest of their Fourth of July and enjoys the fireworks later tonight!

Thanks for reading my blog!  And Happy 4th of July!  :)
