Orly "Devil May Care"
Hey everyone and welcome to the weekend! Today's nail polish is Orly's "Devil May Care" which has an absolutely great name! (Half of my enjoyment of nail polish is how creative the names are!) Here's how this beauty looks in the bottle:
"Devil May Care" is unsurprisingly a red and gold glitter in a clear base coat. The formula of this nail polish is interesting - sometimes I found it easy to apply evenly and other times I struggled to get the glitter off the brush. As "Devil May Care" is in a clear base coat it was never meant to be opaque so I decided to test it out over some creme polishes!
The first combination is "Devil May Care" over Disney for Target's "White." This combination was very basic and made the perfect combination for some Valentine's nail art!
The second pairing was "Devil May Care" over Sephora Formula X's "Nightingale." I was surprised how pretty this combo was! The glitter really popped on the dark color to create a unique vampy look!
Overall I like Orly's "Devil May Care." The glitter combination is happy and fun and goes nicely with anything I paired with it! I can safely say "Devil may Care" will be staying in my collection for a long time to come!

Orly "Macabre Masquerade"
Hey everyone and happy Thursday! (Which is my Friday this week as I am taking a long weekend!) Today's nail polish is Orly's "Macabre Masquerade" which is stunning and looks like this in the bottle:
"Macabre Masquerade" is a lovely royal blue polish with rainbow colors micro glitter in it. The formula of this polish was great and it applied with ease. After two coats, "Macabre Masquerade" was entirely opaque and streak free. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for four full days before I noticed a couple of tip chips, which is pretty good for a glittery polish.
Overall I am quite pleased with Orly's "Macabre Masquerade." Everything about this polish is lovely and I think it can be a great year round color to wear!

Valentine's Day Nail Art
Hi all and Happy Valentine's Day! Anyone else dislike this holiday or is it just me? Today's nail polish is actually some heart nail art. Before beginning I selected this nail polishes:
Disney for Target's "White," Orly's "Devil May Care," OPI's "Lima Tell You About This Color!," Sinful Colors "Boom Boom," and Live Love Polish's "LDB."
First I placed two coats of Disney for Target's "White" to create the base for this design. My nails looked like this:
Next I placed a layer of Orly's "Devil May Care" on my nails. It has red and gold micro glitter in a clear base. My nails then looked like this:
Now to add the hearts I used some nail art brushes from Maniology. To create the pink hearts I used OPI's "Lima Tell You About This Color!" and Sinful Colors "Boom Boom." After applying the pinks my nails looked like this:
The finally touches was to add the black border to each heart. I used Live Love Polish's "LDB" and then my nails were finished! Here's an up close shot of the nail art:
If you want to know more about Live Love Polish's "LBD" check out my previous post!
Overall I quite like how these Valentine's Day nails turned out! Whether or not you have a boo to spend your day with or a pint of ice cream and Netflix, like me, here's hope you have a wonderful day!

Cactus Nails
Hi all and welcome to Friday eve! (Seriously this has been a long week!) Today's nail art is my attempt at freehand cacti - and it didn't turn out so great so let's be kind. First I needed to pick out some nail polishes for this design. Here are the ones I selected:
OPI "Your Palapa Or Mine?, Orly "Coffee Break", OPI Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet", China Glaze's "I Just Canterlot" and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri "Heather Hustle."
I used China Glaze's "Eat, Pink & Be Merry" as the base coat. (And totally forgot to include it in the bottle shot - whoops!) Here's how it looked after two coats:
Next I used these nice dotting tools from Amazon to help me create the design:
After that I used all the other polishes to design various cacti and succulents. (Or attempt to anyways.) As you can see they turned out okay but definitely not the best looking cacti!
Overall this was a fun nail art attempt for my cacti and succulent loving self but there is definitely room for improvement. I'm still not sure how so many people have the gift of freehand design but I am certainly not one of them!

Orly "Vintage"
Hi everyone and happy Sunday! Who else is taking a lazy day and relaxing? So without further ado, today's nail polish is Orly's "Vintage."
"Vintage" is a super pretty aquamarine colored polish. The formula of "Vintage" was slightly watery but not too difficult to apply. And after two coats the nail polish was fully opaque with no streak marks. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Vintage" for four days before I noticed any chips.
Overall I really like Orly's "Vintage." Everything about this nail polish is nice and I cannot wait to wear it a lot more often!

Orly FX "Black Hole"
Hey everyone and happy happy Friday! I have made a quick getaway to the mountains of North Carolina for the weekend and it is such a nice change of pace. Today's nail polish is Orly FX's "Black Hole."
"Black Hole" is a really unique black crelly with red, white, blue and purple glitter in it. The glitter ranges from small to large in size, some is circular, some is hexagonal and the rest is bar glitter. The formula of "Black Hole" was quite thick but it made it easy to spread the glitter on the nail. After two coats the polish was not quite opaque but it still looked nice. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Black Hole" for two days before the polish began to chip and snag.
Overall I like Orly FX's "Black Hole." It is a fun polish that is different from anything else in my collection. I will definitely wear this nail polish again as it is fun for special occasions.

Orly "Coffee Break"
Hello everyone and happy happy Friday! It has been a busy week and I am so glad the weekend is here again! Today's nail polish is Orly's "Coffee Break" which I had to have because I always love the chance to catch a coffee break at work!
"Coffee Break" is a nice light chocolate brown color the looks like coffee with a lot of cream added in. The formula was really nice and it applied well. After two coats "Coffee Break" was completely opaque with no streaks. As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for four days before there were some small chips.
Overall I really like Orly's "Coffee Break." This is such a lovely shade of brown and I think it'll be perfect for Autumn and Winter. So for now I'll put this polish aside for brighter colors but then it'll be my go to when Autumn arrives!

Orly Color Blast "Ice-olated"
Hi all and happy Saturday! Sorry for the delay in posting - I am out of town and my laptop was struggling with the wifi. But without further ado, today's nail polish is Orly Color Blast's "Ice-olated" which is part of their Frozen collection.
"Ice-olated" is a pretty icy mint colored polish. Formula wise, "Ice-olated" was the tiniest bit watery but by wiping the brush on the bottle neck it applied well. After two coats the nail polish was not opaque and did have a fair amount of streak marks. As for chipping, I was able to wear "Ice-olated" for two days before it began to flake off.
Overall I have mixed feelings about Orly Color Blast's "Ice-olated." I do like the color but I wish the polish had been more opaque on my nails. That being said I may wear this nail polish again but I might try three coats to see if that makes the polish more opaque.

Ciaté "Comic Strip"
Hi everyone and happy Thursday! (Who else is ready for the weekend?!) Today's nail polish is Ciaté "Comic Strip" which I purchased as a mini-bottle at Sephora a few years back.
"Comic Strip" is a multi-colored glitter in a clear base. Formula wise this nail polish was fair though it took some effort to spread the glitter out and get it to stick to the nail. Since "Coming Strip" is in a clear base I decided to test it out over a few opaque polishes.
The first polish I tested out with "Comic Strip" was Trend It Up's "100" a lovely periwinkle. This combination was super cute and adorable!
The second nail polish I decided to try with "Comic Strip" was Orly's "Plum Noir." This combo was different to say the least. The glitter popped really well but the glitter and the purple kind of clashed.
If you want to know more about Trend It Up "100" or Orly's "Plum Noir" check out my posts from earlier this year! Or if you want to see how "Comic Strip" compares to other rainbow glitters check out my post from last year!
Overall Ciaté's "Comic Strip" was fair though not the prettiest or easiest glitter I have in my collection. I would probably be willing to give this polish another go but I'm not dying to wear it again.

Dupe Post: Pastel Yellow Polishes
Hello everyone and happy Thursday. (I'm so excited it is almost the weekend!) Today's nail polish is actually a comparison between Orly's "Lemonade," butterLONDON's "Jasper" and ULTA's "Cream Of The Crop." Here's how the polishes stack up next to each other:
As you can see the polishes in the bottle appear very similar though not completely identical. For the comparison on my nails I used two coats for Orly's "Lemonade" and three coats for the others. On the nails butterLONDON's "Jasper" and Orly's "Lemonade" looked the closest with Orly's "Lemonade" having a hair bit more color. ULTA's "Cream Of The Crop" was the palest of the three.
If you want to know more about Orly's "Lemonade", butterLONDON's "Jasper" or ULTA's "Cream Of The Crop" check out my posts from previous years!
Overall while I think butterLONDON's "Jasper" and Orly's "Lemonade" are close enough to dupes that you probably don't need to own both there is a bigger and noticeable difference for both when compared to ULTA's "Area Of The Crop." If I had to choose my favorite is Orly's "Lemonade."
