Sephora by OPI "Nifty Shades Of Grey"

Hello guys and happy Monday!  Today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Nifty Shades Of Grey" which is obviously a call to the books/movie 50 Shades of Grey.  Sephora by OPI is a long retired brand that used to be sold at Sephora stores so this polish unfortunately not available anywhere currently.  Here's how this polish looks in the bottle:

"Nifty Shades Of Grey" is a grayish purple-green color shift.  The color shift is very pretty but the gray dulls the look of the polish on my nails.  Formula wise "Nifty Shades Of Grey" is very thin but it applied well to my nails.  After four coats the polish was mostly opaque but did have a few patchy spots.  Here's how the color shift looks up close:

Overall I have mixed feelings about Sephora by OPI's "Nifty Shades Of Grey."  This polish could have been so much prettier than it turned out to be on my nails, but it is also an older polish so maybe it's faded with age.  More than likely this polish won't be staying in my collection much longer.

Sephora by OPI "Wild About Shimmer"

Hey guys and happy Sunday!  Today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Wild About Shimmer" which was part of limited edition set from QVC.  Sephora by OPI is a retired brand of polish that used to be carried at US Sephora stores.  Here is how "Wild About Shimmer" looks in the bottle:

"Wild About Shimmer" is unsurprisingly a glitter - a gold and iridescent glitter in a clear base.  The glitter is absolutely gorgeous and is perfect for Summer.  The formula of this nail polish is wonderful and applied evenly to my nails.

Since "Wild About Shimmer" has a clear base I wanted to try it over an opaque polish - so I selected Ellen Tracy's "Fire Engine Red."  This combination turned out amazing and looked like actual fire, especially when the gold glitter shone in the light.  Look how pretty my nails were:
To show you how gorgeous this glitter is here is how "Wild About Shimmer" looks up close:

If you want to know mote about Ellen Tracy's "Fire Engine Red" check out my previous post from earlier this year!

Overall I am in love with Sephora by OPI's "Wild About Shimmer" and I cannot wait to wear this nail polish again and again!  It's shame this brand has been retired because I would love to get my hands on other glitters from this brand.

Sephora by OPI "Your Wish Is My Command"

Hello everyone and happy Monday! Today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Your Wish Is My Command" from their Aladdin mini-set.  Sephora by OPI is a retired brand that was a collaboration between OPI and Sephora stores.  Here's how this pretty purple looks in the bottle:

"Your Wish Is My Command" is a gorgeous dusty pastel lilac colored nail polish with a surprising hint of neon.  The formula of this polish was great and applied nicely to my nails.  After two coats "Your Wish Is My Command" was not quite opaque so I added a third coat, which made a huge difference.  Look at this springtime purple up close:

Overall I quite like Sephora by OPI's "Your Wish Is My Command."  The purple color is very pretty and is a great color for Spring!  I plan on wearing this nail polish again and again as the weather begins to warm up.

Sephora by OPI "Sample Sale"

Hey all and happy Sunday!  It has been a very busy week - but here's to a sunshine-y relaxing day!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Sample Sale" which is a retired brand that used to be sold at Sephora.  This shimmery polish looks so pretty in the bottle:

"Sample Sale" is a stunning Christmas-y red shimmer.  The formula of this polish was good and it applied well to my nail.  Because this is a miniature bottle I did struggle to get enough polish on the brush each time, but that is such a minute problem.  After two coats, "Sample Sale" was opaque and looked fantastic on my nails!  Look at this shimmer up close:

Overall Sephora by OPI's "Sample Sale" is a really great polish.  I've had this color in my collection for ages and this was the first time I actually wore it.  And I can definitely say it won't be my last!  I just adore this Christmas-y red shimmer!

Sephora by OPI "What Aura Going To Wear?"

Hi everyone and happy Saturday!  It's the last weekend of October - so I'm off to the pumpkin patch!  Today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "What Aura Going To Wear?"  This polish came in a limited edition set sold by QVC (an American TV channel.)  Here's how this pretty looks in the bottle:

"What Aura Going To Wear?" is a great hot fuchsia creme.  The formula of this polish was great and it applied with ease.  After two coats, "What Aura Going To Wear?" was fully opaque and streak free.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five days before there were a couple of chips.  Look at this pretty up close:

Overall I really like Sephora by OPI's "What Aura Going To Wear?"  Everything about this hot fuchsia is amazing and I cannot wait to rock this color again soon!

China Glaze "Shine-nanigans"

Hi everyone and happy Sunday!  It has been a hectic week for me since I have an injured knee.  So while I'm resting in bed I decided to pull out some glitter to brighten my day!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Shine-nanigans."  Look how pretty it is in the bottle:

"Shine-nanigans" has a hilarious name but it is literally a pastel rainbow chunky glitter in a clear coat - it makes me so happy to look at!  The formula of this polish is watery, like many glitters, but I found that dabbing the brush on to my nail released enough glitter to then be spread evenly in a nice coat.  Since this is a glitter in a clear base coat I decided to test is out over a few colorful polishes!

The first nail polish I tested with "Shine-nanigans" was Essie's "Off Tropic."  I actually didn't care for this combination that much because the dark green hid some of the darker colored glitter.

The second polish I tried out with "Shine-nanigans" was Sephora by OPI's "Break A Leg Warmer."  This combo really made the colorful glitter pop and was a real winner!  Also look ash this gorgeous glitter up close:

If you want to know more about Essie's "Off Tropic" or Sephora by OPI's "Break A Leg Warmer" check out some of my previous posts!

Overall I am really really happy with China Glaze's "Shine-nanigans."  Everything about this nail polish makes me smile and brings me joy - so it will definitely be sticking around in my collection for a long while to come!  (Probably until the bottle runs dry!)

Sephora by OPI "Break A Leg Warmer"

Hello everyone and happy Saturday!  Today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Break A Leg Warmer" which came as part of a limited edition set sold by QVC.  (QVC is an American TV channel that sells some of everything.)  The set looked like this:

Sephora by OPI is a retired brand that used to be sold at Sephora stores.  It was retired several years ago in favor of other in-house Sephora brands.  Here's how "Break A Leg Warmer" looks in the bottle:

"Break A Leg Warmer" is a nice light grey creme that looks good all year round!  The formula of this nail polish was great and applied with ease.  After two coats the polish was fully opaque and streak free.  In fact I probably could have gotten away with only one coat of "Break A Leg Warmer."  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Break A Leg Warmer" for five full days before I noticed any chips.  Look at how pretty this grey is up close:

Overall I am really pleased by Sephora by OPI's "Break A Leg Warmer."  This color grey is so lovely and really goes with every outfit I have and can be worn all year long!  I plan to keep this bad boy around for a long time.

Live Love Polish "Last Call Confetti"

Hello guys and happy Sunday!  The sun has been hiding all weekend so here's some golden glitter to brighten the day.  Today's nail polish is Live Love Polish's "Last Call Confetti."  Here's how this glittery polish of goodness looks in the bottle:

"Last call Confetti" is a gold chunky glitter in a clear base.  A lot of the glitter has a holo color shift to it, which is stunning.  The formula of "Last Call Confetti" was good and applied without too much work.  Since this nail polish is meant to be worn on top of opaque colors I couldn't wait to test it out!

The first nail polish I tried "Last Call Confetti" with was  Color Club's"Bewitched."  This combination was stunning and I stared at my nails endlessly.  Here's how pretty it turned out:

The second nail polish I tried "Last Call Confetti" over was Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Breezy Blue."  This combo reminded me of Cinderella, which is my favorite Disney princess.  Here's how the look turned out:

The third nail polish I tried with "Last Call Confetti" was China Glaze's "Peonies & Park Ave."  This combination was bright and very happy!

I am not always a fan of chunky glitter but "Last Call Confetti" is such a stunner I cannot help but fall in love with it!  I mean look how gorgeous it is up close:

If you want to know more about Color Club's "Bewitched" or Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Breezy Blue" check out some of my previous posts.

Overall I am happy with Live Love Polish's "Last Call Confetti."  I love chunky gold glitters and this one did not disappoint!  "Last Call Confetti" will be sticking around in my collection for a long long time!

Stamped Cacti Nails

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!  Today's nail polish is actually some stamped nail art! My Dad is currently in Arizona so I decided to pull from that and create some cacti nails.  First I needed to pick out my polishes:

Color Club "Meet Me At The Rink," Bundle Monster Color "Straight Up Black," Sephora by OPI "Leaf Him At The Altar," China Glaze "Lime After Lime," Sally Hansen Insta-Dri "Thyme Is Money," OPI "How Does Your Zen Garden Grow?," Maniology "Seashell" and OPI "California Raspberry."

The next step was to paint my nails with two coats of Color Club's "Meet Me At The Rink" to create the sky behind the cacti.  My nails then looked like this before I added the Live Love Polish Precision Peel cuticle protector:

To create the cacti I used Bundle Monster's BM-S168 plate which looks like this:

The final step was to use Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" to pick up the cacti and then a dotting tool to dab the greens and pinks on to the design and then placed the design on my nail.  Look how the design turned out up close:

If you want to know more about Sephora by OPI's"Leaf Him At The Altar"China Glaze's "Lime After Lime"Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's "Thyme Is Money" or OPI's "California Raspberry" then check out a few of my previous posts.

Overall I love how this cute desert design turned out!  I am still not quite the master of stamping or reverse stamping but I am enjoying the process.  In the mean time I'll smile at my cacti nails for several days!

Color Club "Zodiac Attack"

Hey guys and happy happy Friday!  Lately the weeks seem to be flying by but the days drag on for ages.  Is anyone else having that experience too?  Today's nail polish is Color Club's "Zodiac Attack."  Look at this stunning glittery polish:

"Zodiac Attack" is an amazing grey, silver and purple chunky glitter in a clear polish.  The formula of this nail polish was good and it applied easily.  As "Zodiac Attack" is a glitter it is meant to be worn as a top coat, so I decided to test it out!

The first nail polish I tested with "Zodiac Attack" is Essie's "Blue-La-La."  This combination is gorgeous and it made me very happy to wear!

The second polish I tested with "Zodiac Attack" was Sephora by OPI's "Under My Trenchcoat."  This combo was actually quite nice but still demure enough for my to sneakily wear it to my desk job!

The third nail polish I tried out with "Zodiac Attack" was Live Love Polish's "Zodiac Attack."  This combination reminded me of the night sky!  Look at the glitter up close:

Overall I am really happy with Color Club's "Zodiac Attack."  Everything about this chunky glitter is pretty and fun!  I love how it looked with every polish I tried!

Sephora by OPI "Under My Trenchcoat"

Hello all and happy Monday!  Today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Under My Trenchcoat" which was part of set sold by QVC (an American TV channel).  The set looked like this:

"Under My Trenchcoat" is a taupe with some shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish was fantastic and applied nicely to my nails.  After two coats "Under My Trenchcoat" was completely opaque and streak free.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this polish for four days before I noticed a few chips.  Here's how "Under My Trenchcoat" looked in the bottle:

I am not always one to wear a lot of beige colored nails but "Under My Trenchcoat" is really gorgeous.  Look how it looks up close:

Overall I am really happy with Sephora by OPI's "Under My Trenchcoat."  Everything about this nail polish is really nice - it is unfortunate that this brand of nail polish has been retired for several years now and is no longer available for purchase.  So I'll just have to enjoy this bottle until it runs out!

Sephora by OPI "Mermaid To Order"

Hi guys and happy Sunday!  Today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Mermaid To Order" which is a very old polish.  Sephora by OPI was retired several years back but for some reason this bottle has been hiding in the back of my collection unused for nearly half a decade.  Look how pretty it is in the bottle:

"Mermaid To Order" is unsurprisingly a blue and green shimmer.  It is very reminiscent of the ocean as the light shines through it.  (Anyone else already waiting on Summer?). The formula of "Mermaid To Order" was fantastic and applied with ease.  After two coats, the polish was completely opaque with only one or two streak marks from the shimmer.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Mermaid To Order" for four days before I noticed a couple of tiny chips.  Look how stunning it is up close:

Overall I really like Sephora by OPI's "Mermaid To Order."  I'm not sure why I waited so long to try this nail polish out!  It will definitely be staying in my collection for a while longer.
