Egyptian Nail Art

Hello everyone and happy Monday!  Today's nail polish is actually Egyptian Nail Art!  (I love Egyptian history!)  So without further ado check out my fun stamped design using these nail polishes:

Bundle Monster Colors "Straight Up Black" and Sinful Colors "Super Nova."

To create the design I actually used two stamping plate - both by Bundle Monster Color (now Maniology.)  The first plate is BM-S250:

The second plate was BM-XL152 called All Around The World:

After picking out the polishes and stamping plate I applied two coats of Sinful Colors "Super Nova" as the base coat.  My nails looked like this:

Next I used Bundle Monster Colors "Straight Up Black" to create the design on each nail.  The final looked turned out better than I could have imagined - plus I just love Egyptian history!  Look at the design up close:

Overall I am very happy with how this stamped nail art turned out!  It was fun to do and I find myself getting better at stamping every time I try a new design, which makes me even happier!  I'm falling more in loved with stamped designs every day because they allow me a level of detail that I cannot seem to get from freehand.

Stamped Cacti Nails

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!  Today's nail polish is actually some stamped nail art! My Dad is currently in Arizona so I decided to pull from that and create some cacti nails.  First I needed to pick out my polishes:

Color Club "Meet Me At The Rink," Bundle Monster Color "Straight Up Black," Sephora by OPI "Leaf Him At The Altar," China Glaze "Lime After Lime," Sally Hansen Insta-Dri "Thyme Is Money," OPI "How Does Your Zen Garden Grow?," Maniology "Seashell" and OPI "California Raspberry."

The next step was to paint my nails with two coats of Color Club's "Meet Me At The Rink" to create the sky behind the cacti.  My nails then looked like this before I added the Live Love Polish Precision Peel cuticle protector:

To create the cacti I used Bundle Monster's BM-S168 plate which looks like this:

The final step was to use Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" to pick up the cacti and then a dotting tool to dab the greens and pinks on to the design and then placed the design on my nail.  Look how the design turned out up close:

Overall I love how this cute desert design turned out!  I am still not quite the master of stamping or reverse stamping but I am enjoying the process.  In the mean time I'll smile at my cacti nails for several days!

Feather Nail Art

Hey guys and welcome to the weekend!  Today instead of nail polish I decided to practice my stamping skills and create some feather nails!  First I needed to pick out the nail polish:

Disney for Target "White," Bundle Monster Color "Straight Up Black," OPI "Hopelessly Devoted To OPI," Sinful Colors "Treasure Chest," Illimite "La Femme Fleur" and Zoya "Aster."

After selecting my polishes I painted my nails with two coats of Disney for Target's "White" and put on Live Love Polish's Precision Peel Cuticle protector.  My nails then looked like this:

Next up was to select the stamping plate!  I picked out Maniology's MXM002 which features several different feathers.  Here's how the plate looks:

I decided to stamp with Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" and then reverse stamp with the colored polishes to create the final look.  I dab the colorful nail polish on to the stamp I used some basic dotting tools from Amazon.  In the end my ails looked adorable and I think I was pretty successful at reverse stamping this time!

Overall I am really pleased with this attempt to reverse stamp and create some colorful feathers!  I can't wait to try this technique again and hope to keep improving with each design.

Geometric Stamped Nails

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday!  Instead of a swatch today's post is actually some nail art!  I decided to do a stamped geometric design.  The first thing I did was select my nail polishes:

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Breezy Blue", Live Love Polish "Last Call Confetti" and Maniology "Shibori."

After settling on my colors I used three coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Breezy Blue."  My nails looked like this:

The second step for this design was to apply a coat of Live Love Polish's "Last Call Confetti" to create some shimmer.  It looked so nice:

After that it was time to pick out the stamping plate.  I selected Maniology's plate M002 which features a variety of geometric designs.  The plate looks like this:

To stamp the design I used Maniology's "Shibori" which is a lovely navy blue.  The completed look turned out nicely:

Overall I kind of like how these nails turned out though I still can't seem to get the clean crisp edges - even after touch ups.  That being said I do think I am improving on stamped designs.

Sponge and Stamp: Flowers

Hi all and happy Sunday!  Today's nail art is my attempt to stamp over a sponged design with flowers so we'll see how it turns out.  (Please forgive my terrible sponge "technique."). Here are the nail polishes I picked to create the design with:

OPI "Lima Tell You About This Color!", Bundle Monster Colors "Straight Up Black" and OPI "Samurai Breaks A Nail."

After applying cuticle protector I used a basic sponge to dab this design on using OPI's "Lima Tell You About This Color!" and OPI's "Samurai Breaks A Nail."  Here's how my nails looked after the sponged design:

Next I used Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" to stamp on the design.  I used Maniology's plateMXM005, which looks like this:

The final look turned out pretty well, I think, for my first attempt at stamping over a sponge.  Look how pretty the flowers look up close:

Overall I am pretty happy with how this design turned out - though my touch up skills still leave a lot to be desired.  However I do think this is the best stamping I have had thus far.

Constellation Nail Art

Hello everyone and happy Monday!  Today's nail polish is actually some fun nail art!  I have finally gotten around to testing out Maniology's M001 plate which came as part of the January Mani x Me subscription box.  Plate M001 looks like this:

Before I could begin stamping I needed to pick out my nail polishes.  So I dug around my collection and settled on Pahlish's "Nine & Three Quarters," Ciaté's "Celestial" and Maniology's "Spiced Orange."  The bottles looked like this:

First I used two coats of Pahlish's "Nine & Three Quarters" which looked like this on the nail:

This was followed by a coat of Ciaté's Celestial."  This created such a pretty look:

All that was left was to stamp the design on.  But before stamping I applied Live Love Polish's Cuticle Protector to take clean-up easier!  After that I stamped away using Maniology's "Spiced Orange."  The looked turned out so pretty!

Overall I am really pleased with how this look turned out.  I wanted to include some of the astrological symbols but had difficulty picking the design up.  (Any tips welcome!)  However that being said I really love this plate and I can't wait to try another design with it!

Dual Color Sponge and Stamp

Hello all ad happy Saturday!  I'm currently in Florida so here's a some nail art with an ocean-y vibe.  Today's nail art is a two color design that is sponged on the nails and then a design stamped on.  First I needed to pick out colors to use:

Maniology's "Rocko Wear" and "Clarissa Blue."

Next I  applied a coat of Live Love Polish's "Precision Peel" to protect my cuticles and skin (but forgot to photograph it.)  Then, using a sponge, I applied Bundle Monster Color's "Clarissa Blue" and "Rocko Wear" so my nails looked like this:

After that I selected my stamping plate, which is Maniology's (formerly Bundle Monster) plate BM-XL456 which looks like this:

Next I re-applied the cuticle protector and used both nail polishes to cover the design blending the two colors together to create the fade.  After stamping and clean up my design looked like this:

And here's a gorgeous up close shot:

Overall I like how this design turned out, though I cam clearly no expert at sponging or stamping yet. But this design will help me pass the time thinking about the ocean until Summer rolls back around!

Nail Art: Constellations

Hello everyone and happy snowy Sunday!  (Literally so much snow!!)  Today's nail polish was actually some constellation stamped nail art featuring Maniology's (formerly Bundle Monster) plate BM-S306 which looks like this:

Prior to stamping I needed to pick out my nail polishes.  Here are the two I used to complete this design:

Live. Love. Polish's "Bellas For Life (BFL)" and Maniology's "Heart Of Gold."

Next it was time to start painting my nails!  I started with two coats of Live. Love. Polish's "Bellas For Life (BFL)" which is an absolutely gorgeous purple-blue shift with silver glitter.  This is how gorgeous it looked on my nails:

Next it was time to start stamping the constellations on to my nails!  I used Bundle Monster Color's "Heart Of Gold."  As you can see their stamping polishes are gorgeous and work really well.  I finished everything off with Orly's "Sec N' Dry" and my design was all complete!  Here's how it turned out:

Overall I like how this simple design turned out.  It is cute ad fun but without the effort of freehand.  Also I just love outer space so it was the chance to wear a little bit on my nails!

Tie-Dye Stamped Nails

Hey everyone and welcome to the weekend!  Nearly two-thirds of the way through October and I felt it was time for some all pink nail art to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month!  So without further ado, here is today's gorgeous design!

First I decided to selected a stamping plate - so I picked out Bundle Monster's XL-456 which looks like this:

As you can see it is has lots of tie-dye designs!  Next I needed to pick out some fun pink polishes:

Sally Hansen Insta Dry "Peppy Le Fuchsia", Bundle Monster Color "Restless Dahlia" and "Bam! White."

After picking out some polishes I painted my nails with two coats of Sally Hansen Insta Dry's "Peppy Le Fuchsia" to be the base of the design.  My nails then looked like this:

After this I started placing dots of BundleMonster Colors "Bam! White" and Restless Dahlia" on the plate and then swiping to mix them.  After that I placed the designs on my nails so they looked like this:

Overall I am really pleased with how well this design turned out!  It looks so great and I definitely want to try the tie-dye designs out in other colors as well!

Beach Nail Art

Hey all and happy Thursday!  Originally I planned to post this while I was still in Hawaii but I've gotten behind on posts.  I am not currently in California but we can pretend I'm still enjoying Hawaii!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is actually some fun beachy nail art!

So to create this nail art I needed to pick out some polish.  So I selected Bundle Monster Color's "Bam! White", Sinful Colors "Mist-erious", Essie's "Cocktails & Coconuts" and Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black."

Next I painted Bundle Monster Color's "Bam! White" as the base coat.  My nails looked like this:

After that I used Essie's "Cocktails & Coconuts" and Sinful Colors "Mist-erious" to create a blended look. I used a make-up sponge which looked like this with the polish on it:

After dabbing the sponge on each nail several times, my nails looked like this:

From here I wanted to add some fun beachy seashells so I pulled out Bundle Monster Plate XL321 "Kawaii Emoji" which looks like this:

Next I simply used Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" to add the design to my nails.  It turned out to look very fun and happy - which is exactly what I wanted for my trip to the beach!  And after adding Orly "Sec'N'Dry" as the quick drying top coat I had a final look:

Overall I think this look turned out really cute!  However I need to work on my sponge skills to get a better gradient.  That being said I love this beachy look and they look perfect in Hawaii!
