Ciate "Cutie Pie"

Hello guys and happy Monday!  Here's to a great week!  Today's nail polish is Ciate's "Cutie Pie" which came as part of an annual advent calendar that Ciate does at Christmas.  Here's how "Cutie Pie" looks in the bottle:

"Cutie Pie" is a ver pretty pastel pink creme that would be best used for French nails.  The formula of this nail polish was great and it applied nicely to my nails.  "Cutie Pie" is a very sheer polish, however it can be built up some.  I applied three coats of polish for the photos and you can clearly see the color.  Look how lovely this simple sheer is up close:

Overall I am quite pleased with Ciate's "Cutie Pie."  While this isn't a go to every day color it is still very pretty and gets used greatly in my collection.

Ciate "Meet Me In Mayfair"

Hi guys and happy Sunday!  Today's nail polish is Ciate's "Meet Me In Mayfair" which was part of one of their annual advent calendars from several years back.  Here's how this glitter looks in the bottle:

"Meet Me In Mayfair" is a black and gold bar glitter in a clear base.  The formula of this nail polish was pretty thick but the glitter was easy enough to manipulate over my nails.  Here's how "Meet Me In Mayfair" looks up close:

As with many glitters they make a great topper over opaque polishes and "Meet Me In Mayfair" is no different!  So I decided to try "Meet Me In Mayfair" over Maniology's "Green House."  This combination turned out okay but it didn't show the black bar glitter very well.  Here's how the combo turned out:

Overall I like Ciate's "Meet Me In Mayfair."  I am not a huge bar glitter fan but the mixture of gold and black bar glitter is very pretty.  More than likely this polish will stay in my collection but will only be pulled out for special occasions.

Ciate "Birthday Blue"

Hi everyone and happy Sunday!  Today's nail polish is Ciate's "Birthday Blue," which I actually wore on my birthday earlier this year!  (But I saved it for now!)  Here's how this stunning blue looks in the bottle:

"Birthday Blue" is unsurprising a blue polish - it is a stunning royal blue with blue shimmer.  The formula of this polish is fabulous and applied nicely to my nails without much effort.  After two coats "Birthday Blue" was completely opaque and had no streak marks.  Look a this gorgeous polish up close:

Overall I am in love with Ciate's "Birthday Blue."  The color is amazing and it the perfect way to say cheers to being 32!

"Hopscotch" is a pretty red-orange creme that would look good all year long!  The formula of this nail polish is perfect and applied with ease.  After two coats, "Hopscotch" was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  Here's how "Hopscotch" looks up close:

Overall I am in LOVE with Ciate's "Hopscotch."  Everything about this polish is absolutely perfect and I cannot wait to wear this color again and again!

Ciate "Mistress"

Hi all and happy Monday!  With only a few days left before Christmas I couldn't resist pulling out this cheerful red!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Ciate's "Mistress."  Here's how this beauty looks in the bottle:

"Mistress" is such a pretty red creme - it is the perfect year round red!  This nail polish may take the the prize for favorite red polish of all time!  It is also great for both formal and casual events.  The formula of "Mistress" was perfect - it applied easily to my nails and was opaque after a single coat.  Here's how "Mistress" looks up close on my nails:

Overall I am in love with Ciate's "Mistress."  Absolutely everything about this nail polish is fantastic!  I plan to wear this polish a lot more often - it also brightens up my day and brings me joy!

Ciate "Chalet Chic"

Hi guys and happy Thursday!  Today's nail polish is actually loose glitter!  (Hooray for a sparkle of happiness!)  So without further ado here is Ciate's "Chalet Chic" which came as a mini bottle in one of their annual advent calendars.  Here's how the gorgeous glitter looks in the bottle:

"Chalet Chic" is a loose white and solver iridescent glitter.  It applied very easily to my nail - I used Bundle Monster's "Rocko Wear" as a base color then used a clear coat to hold to apply the glitter too. This look turned out nicely and is a fun accent nail for the holiday season.  Here's how "Chalet Chic" looked in the bottle:

Overall I like Ciate's "Chalet Chic."  It is a super gorgeous glitter, but I definitely wouldn't wear it all the time - it is more of special occasion or nail art look for me.  That being said I will be keeping "Chalet Chic" in my collection and will use it up with some fun nails!

If you want to know more about Bundle Monster "Rocko Wear" check out my post from earlier this month!

Ciate "Fit For A Queen"

Hi all and happy Tuesday!  Who else is ready for the weekend?  Today's nail polish is Ciate's "Fit For A Queen" which came as part of one of their annual Advent Calendars.  Here's how this nail polish looks in the bottle:

"Fit For A Queen" is a stunning silver shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish is wonderful and it applied with ease to my nails.  The miniature bottle and smaller brush head also made the application a breeze.  After three coats, "Fit For A Queen" was entirely opaque and streak free.  Here's how this shimmer looks up close:

Overall I am really happy with Ciate's "Fit For A Queen."  Everything about this nail polish is great and it will be a fun color to wear for the Winter holiday season!

Ciaté "Back To Black" Pearls

Hello guys and happy Wednesday!  Today's nail polish is Ciate's "Black To Black" pearls.  These are loose pearls that can be placed into any design on your nails.  This mini bottle came in one of Ciate's annual Advent calendars.  Here's how the pearls look into the bottle:

"Back To Black" pearls come in two sizes mixed into one bottle.  Since these are meant to be used in nail art I decided to create a polka dot design.  First I applied China Glaze's "Gold Mind Your Business" so my nails looked like this:
Next I applied a clear coat of polish and used a pair of tweezers to place the pearls on my nails in a random design.  Here's how the finished looked up close:

If you want to know more about China Glaze "Goal Mine Your Business" check out my post from earlier this year!

Overall Ciate's "Back To Black" pearls are a lot of fun - though highly impractical for daily use.  But I love the 3D look and will keep the pearls on hand for future nail art!

Ciaté "Boom Box"

Hello guys and happy Sunday!  Today's nail polish is Ciate's "Boom Box" which came in one of their annual advent calendars.  Here's how this pretty looks in the bottle:

"Boom Box" is a bright cerulean blue creme - perfect for a sunny Summer day!  The formula of this polish is good and applied well to my nails.  While "Boom Box" is a creme it was not as opaque as I had expected it to be, but after three coats it was fully opaque.  There were no streak marks and my nails looked pretty!  Here's how "Boom Box" looks up close:

Overall I am pleased with Ciate's "Boom Box" - the color is gorgeous and it is perfect for Summer!  (Even if this is a Summer without a pool!)  I plan to save this polish for next Summer because it makes me happy.

Sinful Colors "Queen Of Beauty"

Hi everyone and happy Sunday!  The sun is shining and I couldn't resist playing with some glitter nail polish.  SO without further ado, today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Queen Of Beauty." Here's how this glittery happiness looks in the bottle:

"Queen Of Beauty" is a silver micro glitter in a clear base.  The formula of this nail polish is great and the glitter applies evenly without much effort.  As with many glitters it is not opaque and can be layered on other polishes.

The first polish I decided to try with Sinful Colors "Queen of Beauty" is Essie's "Out Of The Jukebox."  This combination was bright and happy:

The second polish I tried with "Queen Of Beauty" with was OPI "Rub-A-Pub-Pub".  This combination looks like a glitter night sky:

The third and final nail polish I tried with "Queen Of Beauty" was Ciaté "Starlet."  This look was fun and over the top shimmer.

Here's how the silver glitter in "Queen Of Beauty" looks up close:

If you want to know more about Essie's "Out Of The Jukebox", OPI "Rub-A-Pub-Pub" or Ciate's "Starlet" check out some of my previous posts.

Overall I am really pleased with Sinful Colors "Queen Of Beauty."  Everything about this chunky glitter is great and I cannot wait to use it in more nail art soon!

Ciaté "Starlet"

Hello all and happy Thursday!  We're nearly to the weekend and I am looking forward to relaxing and   sleeping in.  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Ciaté's "Starlet."  Here's how this pretty looks in the bottle:

"Starlet" is a grey iridescent shimmer.  The formula of this polish is good and applied with ease.  After two coats "Starlet" was not quite opaque so I added a third coat.  After the third coat, "Starlet" was fully opaque and had no visible streak marks.  Here's how the iridescent shimmer looks up close:

Overall I have mixed feeling about Ciaté's "Starlet."  The color is pretty and definitely unique to my collection but it isn't a color I can see myself wearing that often.  I'm not sure what I plan to do with this nail polish.

"Rom Com Rouge" is a stunning bright red chunky glitter in a clear base.  The formula of this nail polish is fantastic and the glitter applied nice and evenly through my nails.  After two coats "Rom Com Rouge" was not opaque but did look lovely on my nails!  I decided to try this pretty over an opaque polish.

I decided to test out "Rom Com Rouge" over China Glaze's I Just Canterlot" which created a super fun extra glittery experience.  This combination was a lot of fun:

Here's the gorgeous glitter up close:

Overall I am in love with Ciaté's "Rom Com Rouge."  Absolutely everything about this nail polish is perfect and I cannot wait to try it out over other polishes!

Ciaté "A List"

Hey all and happy Tuesday!  So far the week has been great - other than the rain.  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Ciaté's "A List" which looks like this in the bottle:

"A List" has a black base with a dark purple shimmer.  This color reminds me of a black cherry finish - it is very pretty.  The formula of this polish was good and applied quite easily to my nails.  After two coats, "A List" was fully opaque and streak free.  Here's how the shimmer looks up close:

Overall I am a fan of Ciaté's "A List."  There's nothing about this nail polish that I don't like and it will be perfect for Autumn and Winter.

Favorite Nail Polishes of 2019

Hi all and happy New Year's Eve!  To finish out 2019 and ring in the new year (and decade!) I decided to share my favorite nail polishes from this year.  Here they are in color order:

Overall it has been a fun year for nail polish.  I tried out a lot more indie brands and enjoyed every minute of it!  In 2020 I plan to try even more indie brands and can't wait to see where the nail polish adventure will take me next!

Happy 2020!
