Sinful Colors "Purplexed"

Hey everyone and happy Thursday!  Without further ado, today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Purplexed" which is an affordable drugstore brand.  Here's how this purple looks in the bottle:

"Purplexed" is unsurprisingly a pastel purple, with the twist of it having a matte finish!  The formula of this nail polish is fantastic and it applied so well to my nails.  Mattes have a tendency to streak more for me but not "Perplexed" after three coats it was fully opaque and had no streaks!  Look at this gorgeous matte up close:

After seeing how stunning "Purplexed" was matte I decided to add a shiny top coat to see how it looked.  I was not disappointed with this shiny finish either - though the matte is still my favorite!  I used Orly's Sec'N'Dry as my shiny top coat.  Look how pretty the shiny finish on "Perplexed" is:

Overall I am in love with Sinful Colors "Purplexed."  Absolutely everything about this nail polish is perfect and I am so happy to have it in my collection.  I cannot wait to wear this matte polish again soon!

Sinful Colors "About Last Night"

Hi all and happy Wednesday!  (Halfway to the weekend!)  Today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "About Last Night."  Here's how this pretty glitter looks in the bottle:

"About Last Night" is a super pretty golden glitter in a clear base.  The formula of this polish is great and it applied in nice even coats to my nails.  After three coats "About Last Night" fully covered my nails and was streak free, which is amazing for a glitter polish!  But since this nail polish is can also be worn as a top coat I decided to test it out over some opaque polishes!

First I decided to try "About Last Night" over Sally Hansen Insta Dri's "Pina Colada.  I thought this combination would turn out better than it did - but it still has some serious Beauty and the Beast vibes:

Next I tried "About Last Night" over OPI's "Big Hair...Big Nails."  This combination was gorgeous and the red made the gold glitter pop!  I can't wait to wear this look again:

Also here's how Sinful Colors "About Last Night" looks up close in the bottle.  The gold glitter really shines and is a great shimmery nail polish on a budget.  Look how stunning it is:

If you want to know more about Sally Hansen Insta Dri's Pina Colada" or OPI's "Big Hair... Big Nails" check out my posts from earlier this year!

Overall I am in love with Sinful Colors "About Last Night."  This nail polish is perfect and I love that I can wear it as a stand alone polish or as a top coat!  You'll definitely be seeing this nail polish in future nail art!

Sinful Colors "Why Not?"

Hey everyone and happy Sunday!  I hope everyone in the United States is enjoying the long holiday weekend!  Today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Why Not?"  This polish is a pretty Summertime color and I figured with Summer wrapping up it was the perfect time to pull it out.  Here's how it looks in the bottle:

"Why Not?" is a cerulean creme nail polish that I picked up at my local Wal-Mart.  The formula of this polish is really nice and it applied easily to my nails.  After two coats "Why Not?" was entirely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  Here's how this pretty looks up close:
Overall I like Sinful Colors "Why Not?"  This blue color is one of my favorites and with its great formula and affordable price you can't go wrong with this polish in your collection!

Sinful Colors "Queen Of Beauty"

Hi everyone and happy Sunday!  The sun is shining and I couldn't resist playing with some glitter nail polish.  SO without further ado, today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Queen Of Beauty." Here's how this glittery happiness looks in the bottle:

"Queen Of Beauty" is a silver micro glitter in a clear base.  The formula of this nail polish is great and the glitter applies evenly without much effort.  As with many glitters it is not opaque and can be layered on other polishes.

The first polish I decided to try with Sinful Colors "Queen of Beauty" is Essie's "Out Of The Jukebox."  This combination was bright and happy:

The second polish I tried with "Queen Of Beauty" with was OPI "Rub-A-Pub-Pub".  This combination looks like a glitter night sky:

The third and final nail polish I tried with "Queen Of Beauty" was Ciaté "Starlet."  This look was fun and over the top shimmer.

Here's how the silver glitter in "Queen Of Beauty" looks up close:

Live Love Polish "Fiery"

Hi guys and happy Saturday night!  I'm having such. great weekend I couldn't resist sharing another flakie!  (So gorgeous!!)  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Live Love Polish's "Fiery."  Here's how this beauty looks in the bottle:

"Fiery" is a holo flakie in a clear base.  The formula of "Fiery" was absolutely fantastic and it applied with ease!  Since "Fiery" is a top coat I decided to try it out over several colorful nail polishes.

The first polish I tried out with "Fiery" was OPI's "And The Raven Cried Give Me More."  This combination turned out to be stunning and perfect for Autumn!  (I have already re-worn this look several times!)

The second nail polish I tried with "Fiery" was Sinful Colors "Beverly Hills."  This created a very girly combo that I will wear again in the Spring.  Look at those flakies up close:

If you want to know more about OPI "And The Raven Cried Give Me More" or Sinful Colors "Beverly Hills" check out some of my previous posts.

Sinful Colors "My Tribe"

Hi all and happy Tuesday!  Today's first nail polish is Sinful Colors "My Tribe" which was part of their collection with actress Vanessa Hudgens.  Here's how this polish looks in the bottle:

"My Tribe" is a bright happy orange with a hint of shimmer.  The formula of this polish was very nice and applied well to my nails.  After two coats, "My Tribe" was almost fully opaque so I added a thin third coat which made all the difference.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "My Tribe" for four days before I had a couple of tip chips.  Look at this bright orange up close:

Overall I quite like Sinful Colors "My Tribe."  This nail polish is such a nice color and I don't have a lot of oranges in my collection so I plan to keep "My Tribe" in my collection for a long time.

Emoji Nail Art

Hey guys and happy Monday!  Today's nail polish is actually some nail art featuring emojis!  (We all love to use them so I couldnt resist putting them on my nails!)  Here are the nail polishes I selected to create the design:

Disney for Target's "White", China Glaze's "Lemon Fizz" and "Living In The Elmo-ment", Maniology's "Straight Up Black" and Sinful Colors "Mist-erious."

To create the design I first painted my nails white using Disney for Target's "White."  My nails looked like this:

Next I used China Glaze's "Lemon Fizz" to create the Emoji's faces and China Glaze's "Living In The Elmo-ment" for the heart.  My nails then looked like this:

After that I used Maniology's "Straight Up Black" to add the details.  Here's how some of the emojis looked up close:

If you want to know more about Disney for Target's "White" or Sinful Colors "Mist-erious" check out some of my previous posts!

Overall I am disappointed in my ability to re-create emojis.  My freehand nails still need some practice.  Maybe I'll try to re-create this design in the future to see if I am improved!  But still the emojis are adorable!

Egyptian Nail Art

Hello everyone and happy Monday!  Today's nail polish is actually Egyptian Nail Art!  (I love Egyptian history!)  So without further ado check out my fun stamped design using these nail polishes:

Bundle Monster Colors "Straight Up Black" and Sinful Colors "Super Nova."

To create the design I actually used two stamping plate - both by Bundle Monster Color (now Maniology.)  The first plate is BM-S250:

The second plate was BM-XL152 called All Around The World:

After picking out the polishes and stamping plate I applied two coats of Sinful Colors "Super Nova" as the base coat.  My nails looked like this:

Next I used Bundle Monster Colors "Straight Up Black" to create the design on each nail.  The final looked turned out better than I could have imagined - plus I just love Egyptian history!  Look at the design up close:

If you want to know more about Sinful Colors "Super Nova" check out my previous post!

Overall I am very happy with how this stamped nail art turned out!  It was fun to do and I find myself getting better at stamping every time I try a new design, which makes me even happier!  I'm falling more in loved with stamped designs every day because they allow me a level of detail that I cannot seem to get from freehand.

Live Love Polish "Supernova"

Hey everyone and happy Saturday!  The sun was shining and I spent the day at a mermaid themed birthday party - which means it was time to break out the glitter!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Live Love Polish's "Supernova." Here's how this lovely glitter looks in the bottle:

"Supernova" is a chunky gold and silver glitter with blue stars wrapped in a clear base coat.  The formula of this nail polish is slightly watery but applied fairly well to my nails.  Since "Supernova" is in a clear base coat I couldn't resist trying it out over some creme polishes.

The first nail polish I tried with "Supernova" was Illimité's "Pale Fire."  This combination turned out so nicely and the pastel made the glitter pop.

The second color I tried with "Supernova" was Sephora Formula X's "Perfection."  This combination was subtle and was my favorite one that I tried out.

The third polish I tried with "Supernova" was Sinful Colors "Spaced Out."  This combo was very similar to the first but with less of a contrast - it was still pretty though.  Look at this gorgeous glitter up close:

If you want to know more about Illimite "Pale Fire", Sephora Formula X "Perfection" or Sinful Colors "Spaced Out" check out some of my previous posts.

Overall I really like Live Love Polish's "Supernova."  The blue star shaped glitter is a lot of fun and was super fun to wear!  I plan on keeping this polish in my collection for a long while to come and can't wait to try it out with other opaque polishes!
