Essie "Resort Fling"

Hi everyone!  I'm so sorry to have disappeared for close two weeks but I was out of the country and on a gorgeous river cruise.  I had the best time and I had planned to publish blogs while I was away but the boat's internet was very slow and I was having too much fun!  But fear not I'm back now and I'll post every day until I catch back up!  Today's nail polish is Essie's "Resort Fling."

"Resort Fling" is a bright coral colored polish.  Formula wise "Resort Fling" is great and very easy to apply.  After two coats of nail polish there were no visible streak marks, however it was not completely opaque.  As for chipping I was able to wear "Resort Fling" for about three days.

Overall Essie's "Resort Fling" is a nice nail polish.  Everything about this polish is nice, except that it was not completely opaque on my nail.  But I love coral colored polishes, so I will definitely wear this nail polish again!

Finger Paints "Sailor's Lure"

Hi guys!  Happy Sunday!  As I type this I am headed out of the country for a couple of  weeks.  I promise that I'm going to try and post every other day, but I'm not sure how fast the wi-fi will be! Since I will be on a boat today's nail polish is Finger Paint's "Sailor's Lure.

"Sailor's Lure" is a bright beachy royal blue polish with a bumpy texture.  It isn't quite the sandpaper texture but it has several bumps and it is an interesting look.  Formula wise "Sailor's Lure" was fairly easy to apply, however the wide brush meant I also got a lot of excess nail polish on my skin as well as on my nails.  Howeer the best news of all is "Sailor's Lure" is a one-coater!  As for chipping the bumps in "Sailor's Lure" got caught on lots of items made of fabric and cause chips on the second day.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Finger Paint's "Sailor's Lure."  I love the color and that it only needs one coat of polish but I'm not a fan of how quickly the polish chipped or that it kept getting caught on fabric!  I will probably wear "Sailor's Lure" again but only for special occasions, like trips to the beach!

Nails INC "Glastonbury"

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend!  I know I am because I leave on Sunday to go on vacation to Europe!  Today's nail polish is Nails INC's "Glastonbury."

"Glastonbury" is a super fun chunky glitter featuring glitter in red, green, blue, pink, gold, and silver.  Formula wise "Glastonbury" was a bit thick, but that actually worked in the polishes favor.  The thicker formula actually made it easier to apply a good even coat of glitter on each nail.  However like many glitters "Glastonbury" was a bit difficult to remove and took a little bit of persistence.  Since "Glastonbury" is meant to be worn as a top coat I decided to try it out on a few different nail polishes.

The first polish I tried with "Glastonbury" was China Glaze's "Stoked To Be Soaked" which is a bright orange nail polish.  This combination was very fun and happy and is one that I would wear again!

The second polish I tried with "Glastonbury" was Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in "Golden-I."  "Golden-I" is not surprisingly a shimmery gold colored polish.  This combination reminds me of jewels and gemstones and would be perfect for Autumn!  This was possibly my favorite combination that I tried!

The third and final polish I tried with "Glastonbury" was Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails in "Black Heart" which is a solid black polish.  All the different colored glitter in "Glastonbury" really stood out on the black polish and created a very pretty look that I would wear again.

Overall I really like Nails INC's "Glastonbury."  The glitter is fun and brightly colored and is perfect for the Summer!  And surprisingly I liked how "Glastonbury" looked on all the different base colors I tried it with!  I will definitely be wearing Nails INC's "Glastonbury a lot more often!

OPI "Sorry I'm Fizzy Today"

Hi everyone!  Today's nail polish is OPI's "Sorry I'm Fizzy Today" from the Summer 2014 Coca-Cola Collection.

"Sorry I'm Fizzy Today" is a gorgeous bubblegum pink that is designed to coordinate with Vanilla Coke's bottle.  Formula wise "Sorry I'm Fizzy Today" was great and very easy to apply.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping I was able to wear "Sorry I'm Fizzy Today" for about five days before there were minor tip chips.

Overall I am very please with OPI's "Sorry I'm Fizzy Today."  Everything about this nail polish is wonderful and I will definitely be wearing this polish again and again!

Covergirl "#RavingHot"

Hi guys and happy Monday!  Today's polish is Covergirl's "#RavingHot."  (Also I love the ironic use of the hashtag!)

"#RavingHot" is a gorgeous tomato red crelly.  A crelly is a nail polish that is part cream and part jelly and it creates a semi-transparent look on the nail.  Formula wise "#RavingHot" was fantastic and super easy to apply!  After two coats the nail polish was completely opaque and streak free!  As for chipping I was able to wear "#RavingHot" for around six days before there were some very minor wear and tear on the tips of my nails.

Overall I am very happy with Covergirl's "#RavingHot"!  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic!  I definitely plan on wearing this nail polish again and again!

4th of July Nail Art 2015!

Hi everyone and Happy 4th of July (to all of us Americans anyways!)  To celebrate our independence from the United Kingdom I decided to do mix and match red, white, and blue nails!

OPI's "What's Your Point-Settiea?", Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "White On", Orly's "Snowcone", and China Glaze's "Chillin' With My Snow-mies."

First I needed to pick out the nail polishes.  I went with a bright semi-jelly red nail polish by OPI called "What's Your Point-Settia?" a bright creamy sky blue by Orly called "Snowcone" and a traditional white nail polish by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear called "White On."  I also tossed in a fun white multi-sized glitter polish by China Glaze called "Chillin' With My Snow-mies."

To create mix and match nails I simply picked out different designs for each nail!  I did use my dotting tools to help me create a couple of my nails, but I free-handed where I could.  Below is an explanation of each of my nails one at a time!

THUMB: I used two coats of Sally Hansen's "White On" and then used a dotting tool to write 'USA' in Orly's "Snowcone."

POINTER:  I used two coats of Sally Hansen's "White On" and then used the largest dotting tool to draw diagonal red stripes in OPI's "What's The Point-Settia?"

MIDDLE:  I used two coats of Orly's "Snowcone" and topped it with one coat of China Glaze's "Chillin' With My Snow-mies."

RING:  I used the braid technique starting with Sally Hansen's "White On," followed by Orly's "Snowcone" and finished with OPI's "What's The Point-Settia?"  Much like braiding hair you alternate colors and braid it down your nail.  (This was by far the most complicated nail of the bunch.)

PINKIE: The simplest nail of all!  I used two coats of OPI's "What's The Point-Settia?"

For all of my nails I finished them off with a quick drying topcoat.  (My top choice is Orly's "Sec'N'Dry."

Overall I love how my 4th of July nails turned out!  They are fun, bright and festive and easy to do! While I love these nails they are definitely not for every day wear but I would definitely be willing to wear these nails next 4th of July!

Julie G "Gelato In Venice"

Hi everyone!  Can you believe it is July already!?!  I can't believe how fast time is flying by!  Since it is hot and the middle fo Summer I thought today's nail polish should reflect that, so I picked an ice cream inspired polish!  So without further ado, here is Julie G's "Gelato In Venice."

"Gelato In Venice" is a pistachio green/mint colored polish.  The color seemed to vary based on the light, but it is a very pretty nail polish.  Formula wise "Gelato In Venice" is nice and very easy to apply.  After two coats of polish "Gelato In Venice" was completely opaque and streak free!  As for chipping I was able to wear this nail polish for about three days before there were some minor tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Julie G's "Gelato In Venice."  I love everything about this nail polish and will definitely be wearing it again and again!
