OPI "I'm Feeling Sashy"
Hi guys! Happy end of January, though I'm not sure where the month went! Today's nail polish OPI's :I'm Feeling Sashy" which was part of OPI's 2013 Miss Universe collection.
"I'm Feeling Sashy" is a nice dark dusty purple polish. Formula wise "I'm Feeling Sashy" was a bit on the thick side, but it was still pretty easy to manage. After two coats the polish was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks. As for chipping I'm not sure how long "I'm Feeling Sashy" would last because I managed to ruin it because I am a klutz.
Overall I don't really have an opinion one way or the other about OPI's "I'm Feeling Sashy." The formula is okay, and it was easy to apply but the polish was slightly thick and I wasn't able to get a feel for how long this polish would last before chipping. Sometime in the future I will try this polish out again and see if I get better results.

Nicole by OPI "I Do De-Claire"
Hi everyone and happy Wednesday! Today's nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "I Do De-Claire" which was part of their Modern Family Collection that came out last Spring and is based off the award winning TV show of the same name.
"I Do De-Claire" is named after the mother on Modern Family whose name is unsurprisingly Claire and is a gorgeous shimmery salmon pink polish! The formula of "I Do De-Claire" was fantastic and it was very easy to apply. After two coats of nail polish "I Do De-Claire" was completely opaque, however it did have many visible streak marks most likely due to the shimmer of the nail polish. As for chipping I was able to wear "I Do De-Claire" for about one day before it started to chip off the tips of my nails.
Overall Nicole by OPI's "I Do De-Claire" is a nice nail polish. It is a beautiful color, it has a nice formula and was easy to apply. However it was very disappointing how quickly "I Do De-Claire" chipped off my nails. I will probably wear this polish again and hopefully it would last longer before chipping next time!

Ciaté "Pillow Fight"
Hi everyone! I can't believe that January is almost over. It seems like Christmas was just yesterday! Today's nail polish is Ciaté's "Pillow Fight." I have a miniature bottle of "Pillow Fight" because it came in Ciaté's Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar from 2013. The set looks like this:
"Pillow Fight" is a lovely dusty lavender colored creme polish. Formula wise "Pillow Fight" is very good and was easy to apply. After two coats the polish was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks. As for chipping "Pillow Fight" lasted about two days before the tip chips started, which was a bit disappointing.
Overall I have mixed feelings about Ciaté's "Pillow Fight." This nail polish has a lovely color, a great formula, was easy to apply and was completely opaque after two coats without any streak marks. However I wish "Pillow Fight" had lasted longer than two days before chipping. Since the only downside to "Pillow Fight" was the chipping I am willing to give this polish another try. Maybe next time "Pillow Fight" will last longer before chipping.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Pep-Plum"
Hi guys and happy Thursday! It's nearly the weekend and to celebrate I picked out a fun brightly colored polish! Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Pep-Plum."
"Pep-Plum" is a gorgeous purple/dark fuchsia colored polish. Formula wise "Pep-Plum" was lovely and very easy to apply. I would classify this polish as a jelly nail polish which means that it is not meant to be completely opaque but instead the polish looks extremely shiny. That means that after two coats of polish "Pep-Plum" was not entirely opaque but it still looked great. Also there were no visible streak marks on my nails! As for chipping "Pep-Plum" lasted about five days before chipping, which is fantastic!
Overall I really like Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Pep-Plum." It has a fantastic formula, it was very easy to apply, it looked fantastic on my nails, had no visible streak marks, and lasted five full days before chipping! As far as I can see there are no downsides to "Pep-Plum" and I plan on wearing it again and again!

Orly "Oui"
Hi guys and happy Monday! Even though it is still Winter and freezing cold the sun is shining so I couldn't resist pulling out a fun shimmer nail polish! Today's nail polish is Orly's "Oui."
Orly's "Oui" is a gorgeous deep purple polish with lots of gold micro-glitter! Formula wise "Oui" is great and it was very easy to apply. After two coats the nail polish was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks. As for chipping "Oui" lasted about four days before the polish started to flake off the end of my nails.
Overall Orly's "Oui" is a great nail polish! "Oui" was a great formula, it was easy to apply, was completely opaque after two coats, had no streak marks, and lasted for four days before there was any noticeable chipping! I'm in love with this nail polish and I will definitely be wearing it more often!

Covergirl "Black Heat"
Hi everyone! After having some ice earlier this week (and here in the South we don't do ice) it is nice to have the sunshine back! Today's nail polish is Covergirl's "Black Heat" which is part of Covergirl's special The Hunger Games: Catching Fire collection that coincided with the movies release last year.
"Black Heat" is not surprisingly a black colored nail polish and it is has fun gold micro-glitter! Formula wise "Black Heat" was wonderful and very easy to apply. After two coats the nail polish was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks. As for chipping "Black Heat" lasted about two days before the tip chips started and even then the chips were fairly small.
Overall I like Covergirl's "Black Heat" because I love when black nail polishes have a fun hint of glittery shimmer! Also it has a nice formula that was easy to apply, it was opaque after two coats, and there were no visible streak marks! The only downside to "Black Heat" was how quickly it chipped! I would have loved have worn it longer, but I love the color and formula so much that I will definitely be wearing this nail polish again!

Sephora by OPI "Metro Chic"
Hi guys! Now that the holidays are over I wanted to take a break from all the bright colors so I dug through my collection and found this gorgeous neutral! Today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Metro Chic."
"Metro Chic" is a lovely neutral color that I would describe as a grey with a hint of brown and purple. Formula wise "Metro Chic" is fair but it was a bit on the watery side. Fortunately I have a miniature bottle so the extremely small brush worked in my favor and made it easy to apply. After two coats of polish "Metro Chic" was completely opaque and had very little visible streak marks. As for chipping I was able to wear "Metro Chic" for about three days, which is decent.
I have a miniature bottle of Sephora by OPI's "Metro Chic" because it came as part of a fifteen piece nail polish set sold by QVC (which is an American TV channel that sells a variety of products) in 2013. Here's what the set looks like:
"Metro Chic" is the far right nail polish on the middle row.
Overall Sephora by OPI's "Metro Chic" is a nice nail polish. Now "Metro Chic" did have a slightly watery formula the miniature bottle made it very easy to apply, which is a plus. I do like how wearable "Metro Chic" is and it was opaque after two coats of polish but I worry that if you had a full sized bottle it would be harder to apply. Bottom line though I will wear "Metro Chic" again.

Sinful Colors "Ruby Mine"
Hi everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the new year still and staying warm in this freezing cold weather! After a freezing cold week I decided to warm things up with a super bright glittery red nail polish! I picked out Sinful Colors "Ruby Mine."
"Ruby Mine" is a a true red nail polish with a bunch of silver micro-glitter mixed in. The combination of red and silver is gorgeous! The formula of "Ruby Mine" is wonderful! It was very easy to apply and was definitely opaque after only one coat of nail polish and had no visible streak marks! (However I still used two coats for the picture above.) As for chipping I can't say because I wore "Ruby Mine" just for the day when I went to see the National Tour of Wicked as an ode to Dorothy's red shoes. As with many glittery nail polishes I was worried about it being difficult to remove but I was pleasantly surprised with how easily it came of!
Overall I really like Sinful Colors "Ruby Mine." It is a beautiful color, the formula is amazing, it was easy to apply and can be worn as a one-coater! I will definitely be wearing "Ruby Mine" again and again!

Philosophy "Graceful Pink"
Hi everyone! Today I decided to try out Philosophy's "Graceful Pink." I was actually quite surprised to see that Philosophy makes nail polish because I always see them as a company that makes body soaps and lotions. So I am very excited to try out their nail polish!
"Graceful Pink" is a very pretty pastel pink polish that is very light and natural looking. Formula wise "Graceful Pink" is a tiny bit watery but it was still very easy to apply. After two coats the polish wasn't completely opaque and there were a lot of visible streak marks. However since "Graceful Pink" is such a light color it isn't too shocking that it isn't completely opaque. As for chipping "Graceful Pink" lasted about two days.
Overall Philosophy's "Graceful Pink" is a nice nail polish. The color is pretty and the formula is okay, but the polish would look prettier without streak marks. I probably won't wear this polish that much because I prefer brighter colors but it is nice to know that Philosophy makes nice nail polish!

Essie "Chills & Thrills"
Hi everyone! Now that Winter is in full swing I decided to pull out a fun blue nail polish because it reminds of ice and snow! Today's nail polish is Essie's "Chills & Thrills"
"Chills & Thrills" is a gorgeous blurple (purple and blue combo) color! The formula is good and it was super easy to apply. After two coats of polish "Chills & Thrills" was completely opaque and had just a few minor streak marks on my thumbs, which were caused because Essie uses a smaller brush. As for chipping "Chills & Thrills" lasted about three days before the chips became very noticeable.
Overall I am pretty pleased with Essie's "Chills & Thrills." This polish is a gorgeous color, has a nice formula, was easy to apply and lasted a decent amount of time before chipping (though it would have been nice to wear it longer!) I will definitely be wearing this nail polish again and again!

China Glaze "I'm A Go Glitter"
Hi everyone and Happy 2015! It seems like just yesterday we were starting 2014! To start out 2015 I decided to pull out a full blown glitter nail polish! I wanted a really bright and fun glitter to celebrate the new year so I picked out China Glaze's "I'm A Go Glitter."
"I'm A Go Glitter" is a super chunky, multi-sized glitter polish in a clear base. It features lots of small magenta glitter, and larger glitter pieces in lime green and sky blue. Formula wise "I'm A Go Glitter" was a bit difficult to work with because the glitter so desperately wanted to stick to the brush and not to my nail. However with a little patience it got easier to do. As for chipping, it is a glitter so you never wear it alone which makes it impossible to tell if the glitter caused the chipping or if it was the creme base that caused the chipping.
I decided to test out China Glaze's "I'm A Go Glitter" over a few different base colored polishes and here's how they turned out:
First I tested China Glaze's "I'm A Go Glitter" over a white nail polish. I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in "White On." As always (well almost always) white makes an excellent base for a glitter polish and China Glaze's "I'm A Go Glitter" looked amazing on the white nail polish!
The second creme polish I tested out with "I'm A Go Glitter" is China Glaze's "Grass Is Lime Greener" which is a super bright lime green! I picked out this bright lime green nail polish to look nice with the green glitter in China Glaze's "I'm A Go Glitter." Unfortunately they glitter and the lime green polish matched a little too much and I think it took away from the combination! (Also apologies for the not so great photo but I couldn't get the camera to focus!)
The third and final polish I tested out with "I'm A Go Glitter" is Nails INC's "Chelsea Psychic Garden" which is a gorgeous light aquamarine colored polish! I picked this color out to coordinate with the light blue glitter in China Glaze's "I'm A Go Glitter", but as it turned out the glitter and the polish weren't an exact match. However it works better because it makes the blue glitter more visible!
Overall I really like China Glaze's "I'm A Go Glitter" because it has all of my favorite colors in glitter form! My only complaint was that it was difficult to get an even layer of glitter on my nails. I liked all the combinations I tried but China Glaze's "I'm A Go Glitter" over Nails INC's "Chelsea Psychic Garden" was my favorite look because it says Summertime fun! (Too bad it's still only January because come Summer I will definitely be wearing these polishes again!)
Thanks for reading my blog and Happy 2015! :)
