Sally Hansen Triple Shine "Pink Coconut"
Hi everyone! Happy end of June! (We've made it halfway through another year!) Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen's Triple Shine in "Pink Coconut."
"Pink Coconut" is not surprisingly a hot pink nail polish. Formula wise "Pink Coconut" was very easy to apply. After two coats the polish was completely opaque and streak free. As for chipping I was able to wear "Pink Coconut" for about four days before there were noticeable chips, which I was happy about!
Overall I am very pleased with Sally Hansen's Triple Shine's "Pink Coconut." Everything about this polish is great from the color to its easy application! I will definitely be wearing "Pink Coconut" again and again!

Anise "Sea Gem"
Hi everyone! I can't believe that June is almost over (and Christmas is only six months away!) But for now I'm going to keep enjoying the warm Summer weather and today's polish does just that! Without further ado today's nail polish is Anise's "Sea Gem." Anise seems to be a smaller brand of nail polish consisting of maybe 20 or 30 colors. I found the brand at my local DSW shoe store.
"Sea Gem" is a beautiful turquoise nail polish with a shimmer of green micro glitter mixed in. It really looks like the sun gleaming off the ocean! Formula wise "Sea Gem" is fantastic and very easy to apply! After two coats of polish "Sea Gem" was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks. As for chipping "Sea Gem" lasted about four days before I noticed any chipping.
Overall I am very pleased with Anise's "Sea Gem." For such a small brand Anise's nail polish stands up to the bigger companies! Everything about this polish is great from the formula and application to the color and how long it lasted before chipping. I will definitely be buying more nail polishes from this brand!

Nicole by OPI "Live In The Momentum"
Hi everyone! Today's nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "Live In The Momentum" which was a special nail polish that was only available as part of a promotion with Special K cereal. (This means this nail polish may be harder to find!)
"Live In The Momentum" is a royal blue creme polish, Formula wise "Live In The Momentum" was good and it was easy to apply. After two coats the polish was completely opaque and there were no visible streak marks. As for chipping "Live In The Momentum lasted about three days before there were noticeable tip chips. Since this polish is such a deep blue I was worried about it staining my nails but I didn't notice any staining.
Overall I like Nicole by OPI's "Live In The Momentum." Everything was was nice and there aren't any negatives about this polish and I will definitely wear it again!

China Glaze "Cons-ULTA My Manicurist"
Hi all! We're halfway through the week so I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend! Today's nail polish is a China Glaze exclusive for ULTA called "Cons-ULTA My Manicurist."
"Cons-ULTA My Manicurist" is a gorgeous sky blue creme. Formula wise this polish was very watery and difficult to work with. The brush either had too much nail polish and it went everywhere or the brush didn't have enough and there were terrible streak marks. After two coats of "Cons-ULTA My Manicurist" there were still visible streak marks and it was definitely not completely opaque. As for chipping I'm not sure how long "Cons-ULTA My Manicurist" would have lasted because it was so miserable to apply and looked terrible that I didn't wear this polish for long.
Overall I am very disappointed with China Glaze's "Cons-ULTA My Manicurist" because as a specialty polish for a store that sells only cosmetics I expected better. The only thing I liked about this nail polish is its beautiful sky blue color. I probably won't be wearing this polish again any time soon.

Salon Perfect "Ruby's Cube"
Hi guys! Even though Mondays aren't always fun I decided to bring the fun with a glitter polish! So wihout any further ado, today's nail polish is Salon Perfect's "Ruby's Cube."
"Ruby's Cube" is a play on the word Rubix Cube and is of course a multi-colored square glitter nail polish. The square glitter is fun and different. (I have nothing else quite like it in my collection anyways.) Formula wise I was very surprised how easy it was to get the square glitter on my nail! However while the first coat laid flat the second coat created a lumpy effect from the clear base polish. I would suggest wearing just a single coat of "Ruby's Cube" on top of a base color. As always I decided to test out how "Ruby's Cube" would look on several different colored polishes.
First I decided to test out "Ruby's Cube" over a white nail polish. So I picked out Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear's "White On." This combination is quite fun and it reminded me of sprinkles on a birthday cake!
Second I tried out "Ruby's Cube" over a bright yellow polish. I picked out Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear's "Mellow Yellow." This combination reminded me of a piñata and was easily my least favorite out of all the combos I tried.
If you want to know more about "Mellow Yellow" check out my post from last Summer: http://perfectlypolished12.blogspot.com/2014/07/sally-hansen-xtreme-wear-mellow-yellow.html
The third nail polish I decided to try under "Ruby's Cube" was a deep blue nail polish. So I picked out Nicole by OPI's "Live In The Momentum." This combo sad does nothing for either nail polish. You can clearly see "Ruby's Cube" but I'm not a fan of the color combo.
The fourth, and final, polish I decided to try with "Ruby's Cube" was a black nail polish. This black polish was Sally Hansen's Hard As Nail's "Black Heart." My favorite combo out of all the ones I tried "Black Heart" just makes "Ruby's Cube" pop so well!
Overall I am very pleased with Salon Perfect's "Ruby's Cube." This polish is one of my favorites because of how easy it is to apply! Also the variety of color makes it easy to pair with a large number of base polishes! While this isn't an every day nail polish I will be wearing it again!

Nails INC "Bermondsey Street"
Hi all! Happy almost Father's Day! (And also happy Saturday, since everyone loves the weekend!) Today's nail polish is Nails INC's "Bermondsey Street."
"Bermondsey Street" is a aquamarine creme polish that is part of their Latex Effect collection. Formula wise "Bermondsey Street" was AWFUL! I barely managed to get is on any of my nails! You name the problem and this polish had it! The brush either held no polish or way too much which meant that you either got very little nail polish with streak marks or polish all over your fingers. In fact it frustrated me so much I wore it just long enough to photograph and could not get it off my nails fast enough! Since the polish is supposed to be textured so I did not use a topcoat.
Overall I am very disappointed with Nails INC's "Bermondsey Street." I wanted so much to love this nail polish because aquamarine is my favorite color, but the nail polish was so terrible I will not be wearing it ever again!

Formula X "Drawn To You"
Hi guys! I hope everyone is staying cool in this insanely hot weather! (It was 105 at my house yesterday!) Today's nail polish is Formula X's "Drawn To You." Formula X is Sephora's brand of nail polish.
"Drawn To You" is a fun green and gold glitter polish. The gold glitter is micro-glitter while the green glitter is in a medium and large sizes. Formula wise "Drawn To You" was super easy to apply and the glitter spread evenly without much effort! After two coats of polish "Drawn To You" was completely opaque and there were no visible streak marks. As for chipping I'm not sure how long "Drawn To You" would last because I wore this nail polish for a one day special occasion. (Unfortunately my work likes a more "sophisticated" nail polish look so glitter is frowned upon.)
Overall I am a big fan of Formula X's "Drawn To You." Everything about this nail polish is great from the formula to the fun color! I definitely plan on wearing this nail polish again and I think it would be perfect for St. Patrick's Day!

Ciaté "Mermaid You Look" Shell Manicure
Hi everyone! Now that Summer is in full swing I can't stop dreaming about the beach so I decided to channel that by trying out Ciaté's Shell Manicure Set from Summer of 2014. They made several sets with different colored crush seashells but the one I got is Mermaid You Look which has purple seashells! The kit looks like this:
And when you open the magnetic flap it looks like this:
The kit comes with a full-sized bottle of nail polish that coordinates with the seashells and the nail polish in this set is "Pillow Fight." This is what the crushed seashells and nail polish look like:
Ciaté's "Mermaid You Look" crushed shell and Ciaté's "Pillow Fight."
In each kit there are clear instructions with pictures explaining how to apply the crushed seashells. The directions look like:
The only things I did differently from the directions was to apply two coats of "Pillow Fight." Also I decided that in order to get many manicures out of this kit as possible I decided to do just my ring finger as an accent nail.
Overall I was very impressed with this kit! It came with everything I needed to create a seashell manicure. Also I was very surprised with how flat the seashell actually lays on my nail, however it did tend to catch on a lot of fabrics. I wouldn't recommend this manicure for every day wear but it is fun for special occasions, like days at the beach!
Also if you want more info on "Pillow Fight" check out my post from earlier this year:

Sinful Colors "Glass Pink"
Hi all! After spending a couple of days in the mountains of North Carolina I am back home, and connected to the internet again! If you've never been you should definitely go see the Appalachian Mountains at some point, they are gorgeous! But anyways on to today's nail polish, which is Sinful Color's "Glass Pink."
"Glass Pink" is a beautiful baby pink shimmery nail polish. Formula wise "Glass Pink" was very easy to apply and there were no visible streak marks. After two coats the polish was not entirely opaque but because it shimmers so nicely you could barely tell. As for chipping I was able to wear "Glass Pink" for three or four days before there were any visible streak marks.
Overall I am very pleased with Sinful Color's "Glass Pink." I like this color very much because it looks wonderful on my nails but it is also somewhat neutral and can be worn on most occasions! I will definitely be wearing this polish again and again!

OPI "I Can Teal You Like Me"
Hi all! So I had actually planned this post to be for tomorrow, but I'm actually taking a last minute trip to the mountains and I will be away from the internet (shocking I know!) I've decided to go ahead and post it a day early! I usually post every other day but this week will be different! (Basically what this means is instead of posting on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday I'll instead be posting on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday!) Today's nail polish is OPI's "I Can Teal You Like Me" which is part of their Sheer Tints collection.
"I Can Teal You Like Me" is a teal colored jelly. A jelly is a nail polish that isn't opaque but instead creates a very shiny tinted color on your nails. The best part of a jelly is that the color starts out light but gets brighter and more visible as you apply more coats of nail polish. To show you how different is can look I applied two coats to my pointer and middle finger and three coats to my ring finger and pinky. Formula wise "I Can Teal You Like" is great and was very easy to apply.
Overall I am very pleased with OPI's "I Can Teal You Like Me." Everything about this jelly nail polish is wonderful and because it is a jelly you can create several different looks from one bottle of nail polish! I will definitely be wearing this polish again and again!

Ginger & Liz "B*tch Fit"
Hi all! Today I'm trying out a new to me brand of nail polish I found at my local ULTA store. The nail polish brand is called Ginger & Liz which is adorable! SO without further ado today's nail polish is Ginger & Liz's "B*tch Fit." (Pardon the language!!)
Since this polish has a foul name I am going to call it "BF" for short. Formula wise "BF"is fantastic and was super easy to apply! I'm happy to say that "BF" can almost be worm as a one-coater, however I applied two coats of polish like always. After two coats of "BF" there were no visible streak marks. As for chipping I was able to wear this polish for about four days before chunks of polish started flaking off the tips of my nails.
Overall I am very happy with Ginger & Liz's "B*tch Fit." Everything about this polish is lovely and I definitely plan buying some more Ginger & Liz nail polishes!

Julie G "Holla-Peño"
Hi all! Happy Monday! (If there is such a thing!) Today nail polish is Julie G's "Holla-Peño."
"Holla-Peño" is a fun summery grass green colored nail polish. Formula wise this polish is a bit thick and it did make it hard to apply. The brush held a lot of nail polish but when you tried to wipe the excess polish off the brush then there was none left to apply to the nail. After two coats "Holla-Peño" was nearly completely opaque but there were a fair amount of visible streak marks. As for chipping I had an almost impossible time getting this nail polish to dry! Therefore I was unable to wear this nail polish for any amount of time.
Overall I am somewhat disappointed by Julie G's "Holla-Peño" because the formula was tricky to work with, there were streak marks, and since the polish wouldn't dry I couldn't wear it but just to take pictures! Unfortunately I won't be wearing this nail polish again anytime soon!

China Glaze "Stoked To Be Soaked"
Hi everyone! Now that June is in full swing and the sun shines all day I decided to pull out a fun bright orange nail polish! So without any further ado, today's polish is China Glaze's "Stoked To Be Soaked."
"Stoked To Be Soaked" is a very bright orange polish that borderlines being neon. It is the perfect Summer color nail polish! Formula wise "Stoked To Be Soaked" was good and easy enough to apply. After two coats the polish was completely opaque and there were no visible streak marks. As for chipping I was able to wear "Stoked To Be Soaked" for six whole days before some small minor tip chips occurred!
Overall I am very pleased with China Glaze's "Stoked To Be Soaked." Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I received several compliments about its fun color! I definitely plan on wearing "Stoked to Be Soaked" again and again all Summer long!

Pinterest Nail Art: Saran Wrap Mani!
Hi everyone! I had so much fun showing y'all my Harry Potter nail art last month that I thought I would try out another nail art this month! I was surfing through Pinterest ( @LondonLover27 if you want to see all my boards including my nail polish one!) and came across a fun manicure using saran wrap!
The basic idea behind the saran wrap mani is to use the saran wrap to create a cool textured look on your nail without a lot of work! The first step in this manicure it to paint your nails with a good opaque base coat. I picked out OPI's "Live. Love. Carnival." Here's how my nails looked after I painted the base coat:
After letting this nail polish dry for a while I then used Beautifully Disney's "Provencal Mademoiselle" and applied a quick, thin coat on top of the base polish. Immediately after take a small (about two inches square) piece of saran wrap, crunch it up and tap the wet nail polish lightly. It will create a marble-like effect. Repeat this one nail at a time until all of your nails are complete. I found that I was able to use the saran wrap pieces on two nails before moving on to a new piece, however it all depends on how thin/thick of a coat you put on your nail. (Finished look above!) Just be sure to let your nails dry for a few minutes
Here are the two nail polishes I used to do this nail art:
OPI's "Live. Love. Carnival." and Beautifully Disney's "Provencal Mademoiselle."
Also you can use any brand of saran wrap. (All I had was Christmas themed saran wrap and it worked just fine.)
Overall I really like this fun nail art! It is very easy to do and it doesn't require any special talent. All you need are two different colored nail polish and some saran wrap! What makes the saran wrap mani so fun is there are endless color combination possibilities!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Peach Beach"
Hi all! Happy June! (But seriously where did this year go?!?) Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Peach Beach."
"Peach Beach" is not surprisingly a bright coral/peachy pink color. Formula wise "Peach Beach" is good and it was easy to apply. After two coats of "Peach Beach" the polish was completely opaque and there were no visible streak marks. As for chipping "Peach Beach" lasted about three days before there were noticeable chips.
Overall I am pleased with Sally Hansen Xrtreme Wear's "Peach Beach." Everything about this nail polish was great and the color is perfect for Spring and Summer! I will definitely be wearing this nail polish again!
