Sinful Colors "Mint2BCool"
Hi guys! February is almost over which is so hard to believe! I feel New Year's Eve was just yesterday! I hope everyone is having a good 2017 so far and if not there is plenty of time to still have a fantastic year! Today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Mint2BCool."
"Mint2BCool" is a very pretty light aquamarine colored polish. Formula wise "Mint2BCool" was very thick and gloppy and difficult to apply. After two coats the polish was entirely opaque and streak free but it was very thick on my nails and took forever to dry even with a quick drying top coat. As for chipping, I was able to wear "Mint2BCool" for two days before it began to flake off at the tips.
Overall I am disappointed by Sinful Colors "Mint2BCool." The color is gorgeous but everything after that was downhill. The shinging point of "Mint2BCool" is that Sinful Colors is very affordable and costs around $2 (USD) a bottle. I will probably not give "Mint2BCool" another go because I have some similar colored polishes that are easier to apply.

Essie "DJ On Board"
Hi everyone! I can't believe that February is almost over! I am very much looking forward to Winter ending and Spring arriving soon! So to help Spring arrive sooner today's nail polish is Essie's "DJ On Board."
"DJ On Board" is a fun neon purple polish with a fuchsia shimmer. Formula wise this polish was good but leaned slightly to the watery side. However it was still easy enough to apply without too much extra effort. After two coats, "DJ On Board" was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "DJ On Board" for four to five days before there were some visible chips.
Overall I really like Essie's "DJ On Board." Everything about this nail polish is lovely and it looked great on my nails! I can hardly wait to wear this polish again soon!

Nail Trick: Using a Sponge to Apply Glitter
Hi everyone! Today's extra special unscheduled post is all about applying glitter nail polish. Like everyone else I have struggled to get chunky glitter polishes to go on my nails in an even coat. After looking around online in the nail polish community I saw a lot of people talking about using disposable make-up sponges to apply glitter in a thick even coat that actually covered the entire nail. So I couldn't resist giving this technique a try. I decided to select four different glitter polishes to see how well it worked. Here are the polishes I selected:
Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday" - Nicole by OPI's "Inner Sparkle" - Color Pop's "Extra! Extra - Hard Candy's "Pop Star"
The four glitter nail polishes I picked out are Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday," Nicole by OPI's "Inner Sparkle," Color Pop's "Extra! Extra!," and Hard Candy's "Pop Star." I went with a rang of different shaped glitters and glitters in different price ranges. I figured that would give me the best chance to see how this tip works. I found the technique worked very well because the sponge soak up the excess clear base and it made me wonder why I had not tired this before! As for the glitter's shape and size I found the polishes with similar sized and shaped glitter worked bed. (I.E. Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday" and Nicole by OPI's "Inner Sparkle."
Overall I am very pleased with this technique and I'll definitely be using it in the future to create some fun glittery looks!

OPI "Pedal Faster Suzi"
Hi all! Happy Fri-YAY! Welcome to the weekend! Today's nail polish is OPI's "Pedal Faster Suzi" which I got on Black Friday as part of a trio. The trio is called Feeling Berry Fine and the set looks like this:
"Pedal Faster Suzi" is pretty pastel lavender colored polish with a hint of silver shimmer. Formula wise this polish is fantastic and went on flawlessly! After two coats "Pedal Faster Suzi" was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks. As for chipping, I was able to wear "Pedal Faster Suzi" for five full days before there were any visible tip chips.
Overall I am really happy with OPI's "Pedal Faster Suzi." Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I cannot wait to wear "Pedal Faster Suzi" again soon!

China Glaze "Optical Illusion"
Hi everyone and happy Wednesday! The weather this week has been fantastic and I am so excited for this weekend! Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Optical Illusion."
"Optical Illusion" is a fantastic turquoise and silver holographic glitter polish! It looks stunning in the bottle and on the nail! Formula wise "Optical Illusion" was great and it applied nicely in even coats. Despite being a glittery polish, after two coats it was almost opaque and had just a hint of the visible nail underneath. As for chipping, I was able to wear "Optical Illusion" for three days before it began to flake off. However since "Optical Illusion" is a glitter I couldn't resist testing it out with another polish. Here's how it turned out:
I selected Misslyn's "Heaven On Earth" as the base color for this combination. It turned out so well and makes for a great look. (One which I will definitely wear a lot this Summer!) If you want to know more about Misslyn's "Heaven On Earth" check out my post from earlier this month!
Overall I am very impressed by China Glaze's "Optical Illusion." Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I will wear it again and again.

Misslyn "Heaven On Earth"
Hi all! I can't believe that February is almost over and that 2017 seems to be flying by! It has been almost two years since I went to France on vacation (even though it seems like only yesterday!) so I decided to pull out one of the European polishes I got while there. So without further ado, today's nail polish is Misslyn's "Heaven On Earth."
"Heaven In Earth" is a gorgeous light sky blue nail polish that is perfect for the UNC Tarheel fans out there! Formula wise this polish was good but just the tiniest bit watery. However it was still easy to apply. After two coats, "Heaven On Earth" was almost entirely opaque sans a streak mark here or there that left my nails looking a little patchy.. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Heaven On Earth" for four days before there were a couple of small chips.
Overall I am very pleased with Misslyn's "Heaven On Earth." This nail polish is good in every aspect and I wish I had bought more polishes by this brand. I suppose I'll just have to keep wearing this one until I can get back to France and buy some more!
Here's a #tbt (even though it isn't Thursday) to remember my trip to France by:
Notre Dame de Rouen in Rouen, France. Rouen is where I purchased this bottle of nail polish!

Covergirl "Seared Bronze"
Hi guys and a very happy Saturday! I am enjoying the warm weather here in North Carolina and impatiently waiting for nail mail that is out for delivery! Today's nail polish is Covergirl's "Seared Bronze" which was part of the limited edition collection that came out for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
"Seared Bronze" is a pretty shimmery bronze colored polish. Formula wise this nail polish was very easy to apply. After two coats of polish, "Seared Bronze" was mostly opaque except on the tips of my nail. I added a third coat and everything looked perfect and there were no visible streak marks. As for chipping, I was able to wear "Seared Bronze" for four days before there were tip chips.
Overall I have mixed feelings about Covergirl's "Seared Bronze." This nail polish has a pretty color and great formula but it was disappointing how quickly the polish chipped. However I will probably give this polish another chance since the color is gorgeous!

butterLONDON "Violet's Revenge"
Hi all! We've nearly made it to the weekend again! Only one more work day and then I can spend my weekend enjoying the break. Today's nail polish is butterLONDON's "Violet's Revenge" which I got as part of a special 2016 Allure Magazine collection called Arm Candy. The set looks like this:
"Violet's Revenge" is a lovely purple nail polish that looked lighter on the nail than it did in the bottle, which was a little disappointing. Formula wise this polish was good and easy to apply. After two coats, "Violet's Revenge" was completely opaque and looked great on my nails. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this polish for three days before there were a few small tip chips.
Overall I have mixed feelings about butterLONDON's "Violet's Revenge." The color was not as pretty as I had hoped and it didn't last very long before chipping. Its main redeeming quality was that it was easy to apply and opaque. I will probably give "Violet's Revenge" another chance but not before I try out some of the other polishes in my collection.

Nails INC "Westminster Abbey"
Hi guys! I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day. I meant to post yesterday but the day flew by! Anyway, today's nail polish is Nails INC's "Westminster Abbey" which is part of a special collection I got from QVC. (QVC is an American TV channel that sells a variety of items and they are delivered to you.) The special collection is called The London Collection which looks like this:
"Westminster Abbey" is of course named after the famous church in London, England of the same name and it is a gorgeous shimmery gold polish. Formula wise "Westminster Abbey" was great and very easy to apply. After two coats, the nail polish was almost entirely opaque with just a hint of visible nail. However there were no visible streak marks which was nice. As for chipping, I was able to wear "Westminster Abbey" for six full days before my nails grew out and needed to be repainted.
Overall I am really pleased with Nails INC's "Westminster Abbey." Everything about this nail polish was perfect. The only thing I would change is for the polish to have been entirely opaque and this probably could be solved by putting on a third coat. I will definitely wear "Westminster Abbey" again soon!

Comparison: Sephora by OPI "Leotard Optional" and "Tweet You Later!"
Hi everyone! Today's post is a comparison of two Sephora by OPI nail polishes. As everyone knows Sephora by OPI is a discontinued line that was sold at Sephora stores throughout the United States (and possibly some other countries too.) Today's comparison is between "Leotard Option" and "Tweet You Later!" Here's how they compare in the bottle:
I have a full sized bottle of "Leotard Optional" but "Tweet You Later!" is from a mini set called Metro Too Chic which looks like this:
Both polishes are lovely dainty nude colored polishes - perfect for the workplace or when you want to be demur and not draw too much attention to your nails. I could tell from the start that "Leotard Optional" and "Tweet You Later!" would not be dupes/duplicates but they would be similar. The main difference is that "Leotard Optional" is slightly darker with a warmer tone, while "Tweet You Later!" is lighter. Formula wise both polishes were very similar though I found the small brush head on the miniature bottle easier to apply with.
If you want to know more about Sephora by OPI's "Leotard Optional" or Sephora by OPI's "Tweet You Later!" be sure to check out my posts from previous years!
Overall I can't decide which Sephora by OPI polish is better between "Leotard Optional" and Tweet You Later!" Both have a prety color and are easy to apply. If I had to pick between the two I prefer the warmer color of "Leotard Optional" but otherwise they are very similar.

Nicole by OPI "Love Your Life"
Hi everyone and happy happy Friday! With Valentine's Day next week I decided to pull out a fun heart-shaped glitter! So without further ado, today's nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "Love Your Life."
"Love Your Life" features light pink heart shaped glitter with iridescent micro-glitter all in a clear base. Formula wise this nail polish was somewhat challenging and I reverted to using tweezers to place the glitter on my nails. Like most glitters, "Love Your Life" was not made to be opaque so I decided to test it out over some colored polishes.
The first polish I decided to try out over "Love Your Life" was Finger Paints "Romanesque Rouge." This combination was very fun and perfect for Valentine's Day!
The second polish I decided to test out over "Love Your Life" is Nails INC's "Westminster Abbey." This combination was fun and girly. It was also very shiny!
Overall...

China Glaze "Sleeping Under The Stars"
Hi everyone! We're half way to the weekend! Who else is ready? Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Sleeping Under The Stars" which is perfect since we are having a lunar eclipse this weekend!
"Sleeping Under The Stars" is a pretty dark blurple (a blue and purple combo) with a hint of magenta shimmer. Formula wise this polish was perfect and has to be the easiest polish I have applied in a long time! After only one coat, "Sleeping Under The Stars" was completely opaque and streak free. But as usual I applied a second coat for the pictures. As for chipping, I was able to wear "Sleeping Under The Stars" for fie days before I noticed any chips, which is fantastic for a dark colored polish!
Also here was my first attempt at nail stamping. I used "Sleeping Under The Stars" as the base for the night sky. I used Bundle Monster's BM-XL213 plate and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "White On" to create the pattern off the plate. I topped it off with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure's "Cot Of Arms" to add some glittery fun! (And please forgive how imperfect it looks! This was my very first time trying stamping!)
Overall I am thrilled with China Glaze's "Sleeping Under The Stars." Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I'll be wearing it a lot more often!

Beautifully Disney "Nonsensical"
Hi everyone! Lately I have been missing my beloved Disney World in Florida. It has been a couple of years since my last visit, which is frankly just too long for my taste. But since I can't get up and go to Disney World today I'll have to settle for Beautifully Disney's "Nonsensical" which came as part of a four piece set called Curiouser and Curiousler that looks like this:
"Nonsensical" is a very pretty bright pink glitter. Formula wise this nail polish was great and it went on easily. After two coats, "Nonsensical" was completely opaque and looked wonderful on my nails! (I felt like Barbie!) As for chipping, I was able to wear "Nonsensical" for four days before I noticed a few tip chips.
Overall I am very happy with Beautifully Disney's "Nonsensical." Everything about this nail polish is lovely from its perfect glittery color to how well it wore on my nails! I cannot wait to wear this nail polish again... and maybe next time I wear it I can actually be at Disney World!

Finger Paints "Romanesque Rouge"
Hi guys and happy February! I can't believe that we are already into February of 2017! Time seems to be flying by. Today's nail polish is Finger Paint's "Romanesque Rouge." Finger Paints is a brand of polish that is sold at Sally beauty Supply stores.
"Romanesque Rouge" is a beautiful bright berry pink color. Formula wise this nail polish was perfect and very easy to apply. After two coats, "Romanesque Rouge" was entirely opaque and had no visible streak marks. In fact, "Romanesque Rouge" was opaque after only one coat, which is always great! In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Romanesque Rouge" for five full days before there were a few tiny chips.
Overall I am very pleased with Finger Paints "Romanesque Rouge." Everything about this nail polish is perfect from its formula to how long I was able to wear it! I can't wait to wear "Romanesque Rouge" again soon!

Ciaté "Heirloom"
Hi everyone! It's finally the weekend! Hooray! Today's nail polish is Ciaté's "Heirloom" which was part of Ciaté's annual Advent calendar. "Heirloom" was part of the 2015 set which looks like this:
"Heirloom" is a gorgeous shimmery pink and gold polish. The formula of "Heirloom" was very good and easy to apply. After two coats the polish was almost opaque but I had difficulty getting the polish to cover the tips of my nails. As for chipping, I was able to wear "Heirloom" for three days before it began to chip off in chunks.
Overall I have mixed feelings about Ciaté's "Heirloom." I love the color of this polish but the fact that it didn't want to stay on the tops of my nail was a bit of a let down. However I will probably give this nail polish another go.
