Bundle Monster Plate XL156: Plaid Nails

Hi everyone!  If you follow along you know that this year I have been trying out stamping plates and really enjoying it.  But I had not tried reverse stamping yet.  So I decided to use Bundle Monster Color's Plate XL156 to create some simple reverse stamped plaid nails.

Above is the Bundle Monster plate I used, which was sold earlier this year with proceeded benefiting the Manchester bombing.  (I was more than pleased to pick up this plate and help support the victims of such a horrific tragedy.)  Next I needed to pick out some colors to create the look with.  I selected:

Sinful Colors "V. I. Peach", Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" and OPI's "Love Athletes In Cleats."

First I painted my nails with two coats of Sinful Colors "V. I. Peach" for a nice easy base.  next I used Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" to stamp with.  Before stamping in my fingers I used a dotting tool (purchased on Amazon) to add the red accent with OPI's "Love Athletes In Cleats."  Here how it looked before I stamped it on my nails:

Overall I learned that revers stamping is not nearly as easy as it looks and that I need a lot more practice.  That being said I think this look is super cute and with a little work I could make it look cleaner.  I am very excited to try out some more reverse stamping looks.  (And any helpful hints are welcome!)

Essie "Nama-Stay The Night"

Hi all and happy Friday!  (Hooray for the weekend!)  Today's nail polish is Essie's "Nama-Stay The Night" which came as part of the 2016 Resort Collection which looks like this:

"Nama-Stay The Night" is a super pretty bright turquoise.  Formula wise this nail polish was absolutely stunning and it applied with complete ease.  After only one coat, "Nama-Stay The Night" was entirely opaque and streak free.  However as always I applied a second coat for good measure.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this polish for six full days before I noticed a few tiny tip chips.

Overall I am really pleased by Essie's "Nama-Stay The Night."  Everything about this nail polish makes me happy!  I will be wearing this nail polish a lot more often!

Sinful Colors "Green Ocean"

Hello guys!  I hope everyone is enjoying their day and Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate!  Without further ado, today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Green Ocean."

"Green Ocean" is a green iridescent shimmer and flaky.  Formula wise this polish was lovely and applied well on to my nails.  As "Green Ocean" is more of a top coat I decided to test it out with some other polishes.

The first polish I decided to try out with "Green Ocean" is A England's "Lady of The Lake."  This combination was stunning and definitely one I will wear again!

The second polish I decided to try out with "Green Ocean" was China Glaze's "Seas and Greetings" a lovely purple polish.  This combination was not as pretty as I had hoped it would be.

The third nail polish I tested out with "Green Ocean" was Nicole by OPI's "I Shop Mintage."  This combination was an attempt to save "I Shop Mintage" and it was a disappointment.  You could barely see the shimmer of "Green Ocean."

If you want to know more about A England's "Lady Of The Lake" China Glaze's "Seas And Greetings" or Nicole by OPI's "I Shop Mintage" check out my posts from earlier this year.

Overall I really like Sinful Colors "Green Ocean" and it was well worth the $1.99 USD it cost.  For a "bargain" brand polish Sinful Colors produced a stunning flaky polish!  I can hardly wait to wear this polish again soon!

Nicole by OPI "I Shop Mintage"

Hi everyone and happy Monday!  I hope everyone enjoyed a nice weekend.  Today's nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "I Shop Mintage."

"I Shop Mintage" is a gorgeous mint color that would make a perfect Spring polish!  Formula wise this nail polish was on the watery side.  I found it easiest to apply in quick thin coats.  After two coats, "I Shop Mintage" was very streaky and not at all opaque.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "I Shop Mintage" for two days before it began to chip off.

Overall I am disappointed by Nicole by OPI's "I Shop Mintage."  I had really been looking forward to wearing this polish a lot because it looks gorgeous in the bottle.  However it was so streaky that I don't think I will be wearing it again any time soon.

Ciaté "Superficial"

Hello everyone and happy Saturday!  Today's nail polish is Ciaté's "Superficial" which came as part of the annual Advent calendar.  The set is called Mini Mani Manor Month which looks like this:

"Superficial" is a gorgeous teal polish.  The formula of "Superficial" was watery but applied decently well.  After only one coat, the polish was completely opaque and streak free.  However I added a second coat for the photos.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Superficial" for four full days before I noticed any chips.

Overall I like Ciaté's "Superficial."  The color is really pretty and it wore well enough that I will be using this nail polish a lot more often.

OPI "Can't Let Go"

Hello all and happy Thursday!  I have been ill all week and now I have laryngitis.  At least I have pretty nails today though!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is OPI's "Can't Let Go" which is a textured polish from the Mariah Carey collection.  The mini set looks like this:

"Can't Let Go" is a fun purple textured polish with chunks of glitter.  The formula of this nail polish was surprisingly wonderful and easy to apply.  After two coats, "Can't Let Go" was entirely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this polish for three days before it began to snag and chip.  Since "Can't Let Go" is a sandpaper texture polish so for the picture above I used no top coat.  However I wanted to see how "Can't Let Go" would look with a shiny top coat, so here is how it turned out:

Overall I am really impressed by OPI's "Can't Let Go."  Everything about this nail polish is fun and unique.  I adore the purple color and it looks good textured or with a shiny top coat on it!  I will be wearing this nail polish again sometime soon!

China Glaze "Seas and Greetings"

Hi guys and happy Tuesday!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Seas and Greetings" which is perfect for the Florida Christmases I used to have as a child!  This polish is part of a set called Shell-ebration Time! which looks like this:

"Seas and Greetings" is a lovely royal purple nail polish with golden shimmer.  Formula wise this polish was perfect and extremely easy to apply on my nails.  After two coats of polish, "Seas and Greetings" was completely opaque and streak free.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this polish for four full days before there were any tip chips.

Overall I absolutely adore china Glaze's "Seas and greetings."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect for the warm weather Christmas of Florida.  I will definitely wear this polish again soon!
