Essie "Fun In The Gondola"

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!  Today's nail polish is Essie's "Fun In The Gondola."  This is a classic polish that I have had in my collection for a while.  I was fortunate enough to go to Italy in 2006 and have been itching to get back ever since!

"Fun In The Gondola" is a pretty dusty mauve creme polish.  The formula of "Fun In The Gondola" was great and applied really well to my nails.  After two coats the nail polish was fully opaque with no streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Fun In The Gondola" for a full week before my nails grew out and needed to be repainted.

Overall I could not be happier with Essie's "Fun In The Gondola."  Everything about this polish is a real winner and it will continue to stay in my collection for a long time!

Orly "Vintage"

Hi everyone and happy Sunday!  Who else is taking a lazy day and relaxing?  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Orly's "Vintage."

"Vintage" is a super pretty aquamarine colored polish.  The formula of "Vintage" was slightly watery but not too difficult to apply.  And after two coats the nail polish was fully opaque with no streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Vintage" for four days before I noticed any chips.

Overall I really like Orly's "Vintage."  Everything about this nail polish is nice and I cannot wait to wear it a lot more often!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Deep Purple"

Hey all and happy Saturday!  Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Deep Purple" which is a polish I have had in my collection for nearly a decade!  (Nail polish hoarder much?)  Over the years I have worn this polish a fair amount of times so the bottle is only about half full.

"Deep Purple" is in fact a deep royal purple polish with a hint of shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish was good and it applied very well, which is why it has lasted in my collection for so long.  After two coats "Deep Purple" was entirely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Deep Purple" for four days before there were some noticeable tip chips.

Overall I really like Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Deep Purple."  Everything about this nail polish is great and I love wearing it a lot!  I think this color can be worn all year long but I tend to wear it the most in Autumn and Winter.

Color Club "Constellation Prize"

Hello guys and welcome to Friday!  It is finally the weekend!  Today's nail polish is Color Club's "Constellation Prize" which I knew I needed in my collection because the color is stunning and the name is perfect!  (Anyone else obsessed with the night sky?)

"Constellation Prize" is an absolutely gorgeous blue and purple iridescent polish with chunky blue glitter.  The formula of "Constellation Prize" was the tiniest bit watery but it helped spread the glitter in a nice even way.  After two coats, the nail polish was fully opaque and had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Constellation Prize" for five days before there were a few chips.

Overall I am in love with Color Club's "Constellation Prize."  Everything about this nail polish is wonderful and I cannot wait to wear it again and again!

China Glaze "Highlight Of My Summer"

Hey all and happy almost Friday!  (Who else is ready for the weekend!)  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Highlight Of My Summer" which just perfect since I'm only a few weeks away from my actual highlight for this Summer - Hawaii and LA!

"Highlight Of My Summer" is a neon lime green nail polish.  The formula was good and it applied well to my nails.  After two coats this nail polish was not opaque and had several streak marks.  For once in my life I actually broke out the third coat to see if that would make the polish look better, which it did.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Highlight Of My Summer" for four days before there were some noticeable chips.

Overall I have mixed feelings about China Glaze's "Highlight Of My Summer."  I adore the color but the need for three coats is a bit of a drag since I prefer to wear two coats instead.  However that being said I will keep this nail polish in my collection and wear it again!

Sephora by OPI "Arose Beyond Shimmer"

Hey guys!  Mother dreary Monday has rolled around, so here's some glitter to brighten up your day!  Today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Arose Beyond Shimmer" which was part of a mini set call Metro Too Chic.  The set looks like this:

"Arose Beyond Shimmer" is a lovely purple, pink and silver micro glitter in a clear base.  The formula of this polish was amazing and applied exceptionally well for a glitter polish.  After two coats "Arose Beyond Shimmer" was fully opaque and streak free!  I was able to wear this nail polish for three days before there were some chips.  It was also a fun surprise that "Arose Beyond Shimmer" dried with a semi-matte finish!  Despite the polish being pretty opaque on it's own, I still decided to test it over some creme polishes.

The first polish I tested "Arose Beyond Shimmer" was Essie's "Loot The Booty."  This combination was interesting.  It turns out that "Arose Beyond Shimmer" is very covering so it actually looks like some abstract nail art.

The second polish I tried out with "Arose Beyond Shimmer" was Color Club's "Hot-Hot-Hot Pants."  This combination was hideous looking and didn't last past the photo!

If you want to know more about Essie's "Loot The Booty" or Color Club's "Hot-Hot-Hot Pants" check out my proviso posts!

Overall I am really pleased with Sephora by OPI's "Arose Beyond Shimmer."  This glitter is stunning and a lot of fun to wear!  Not to mention is was actually opaque after two coats!  I cannot wait to wear this polish again an again!

OPI "Don't Violet Me Down"

Hey all and happy Saturday!  It is kind of dreary outside today so I picked out a bright purple to brighten up my day!  (Here's hoping the sun comes out later!)  Today's nail polish is OPI's "Don't Violet Me Down."

"Don't Violet Me Down" is a deep violet jelly polish.  The formula of this polish was pretty good and applied easily.  Since this polish is a jelly it can be built up to have more of less color as desired.  So I decided to see how the polish looked as more coats were added.  Here's how one coat looked:

As you can see it was sheer and didn't look so fantastic on my nails.  So I added a second coat which looked like this:

The second helped make it less sheer but it still wasn't opaque, which meant it was time for a third coat:

After the third coat of "Don't Violet Me Down" you could definitely see the purple color better but it was still not opaque.  I like the look of the three coats because it is sheer and light but also still a nice pop of color.

Overall I quite like OPI's "Don't Violet Me Down."  I don't have many jelly polishes in my collection so I really do love this purple one and I can't wait to try mixing and matching it with glitters and other colored polishes to see what looks can be created.

Color Club "Hot-Hot-Hot Pants"

Hello all and happy happy Friday!  It has been a long week of course construction and wi-fi outages but we've survived.  Sot without further ado, today's nail polish is Color Club's "Hot-Hot-Hot Pants."

"Hot-Hot-Hot Pants" is a pretty baby pink polish.  The formula of "Hot-Hot-Hot Pants" was kind of thick and goopy.  After two coats the nail polish was entirely opaque but did have some obvious streaks and uneven spots.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Hot-Hot-Hot Pants" for two days before it began to chip off.

Overall I am a bit disappointed with Color Club's "Hot-Hot-Hot Pants."  The color is great but the formula was not which makes it hard for me to want to keep in my collection.  I am undecided on whether I will wear this polish again or not.

Dream Catcher Nails

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday!  Today's nail polish is actually some fun dream catcher nail art.  I have loved dream catchers my entire life (and have one hanging in my room that I bought as a young child) so I couldn't resist putting some on my nails!

First I needed to selected the polishes so I chose:

Lisa Lacquer "Pineapple Smoothie", Bundle Monster Color "Straight Up Black", Essie "Loot The Booty", Color Club "Tic-Tac-Toe", Jordana "Purple Glam", Essie "Aim To Misbehave" and Wet N' Wild "Sparked".

After selecting some bright polishes I painted my nails with two coats of Lisa Lacquer's "Pineapple Smoothie" which looked like this:

Next I selected Bundle Monster Plate XL-BM358 "Gypsy Soul" which has a fun dream catcher design.  The plate looks like this:

After that I used Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" to stamp the design.  The design looked like this on the stamper before I added color to the feathers:

To add color to the feathers I used my trusty dotting tools from Amazon.  Then the design looked like this on the stamper:

Finally I mixed the bright colors to create different feathers for each nail.  The final look was cute and worthy of a fun Summer day!

If you want to know more about Lisa Lacquer's "Pineapple Smoothie", Essie's "Loot The Booty"Color Club "Tic-Tac-Toe"Essie "Aim To Misbehave" or Wet N' Wild "Sparked" check out my previous posts.

Overall I am in love with how this design turned out!  (Other than my poor middle finger which got smudged).  I got a ton of complements while wearing this design and love how easy stamping is after much practice.

Beautifully Disney "This Way, That Way"

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!  Today's nail polish is Beautifully Disney's "This Way, That Way" which was a brand of beauty products previously sold at Disney parks.  This polish was part of a mini set called Curiouser and Curiouser which looks like this:

"This Way, That Way" is a really pretty sky blue polish.  The formula of "This Way, That Way" was pretty good and applied easily to my nails.  After two coats, the polish was entirely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five days before I noticed a little bit of wear and tear.

Overall I really like Beautifully Disney's "This Way, That Way."  Everything about this nail polish is great and I love the reference to Alice and Wonderland which is a classic.  I definitely will wear this polish again and again!

Essie "Loot The Booty"

Hi guys and happy Sunday!  I hope everyone had a nice weekend like I did.  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Essie's "Loot The Booty."

"Loot The Booty" is an absolutely stunning royal blue polish with shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish was fantastic and very easy to apply.  After only one coat "Loot The Booty" was completely opaque and streak free.  However I applied a second coat for the photo above to test the wear time.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Loot The Booty" for six full days before I noticed some minor chips.

Overall I am in love with Essie's "Loot The Booty."  It looks amazing on my nails and is an all around great nail polish!  I think this may become one of the my regular go to polishes!

Lisa Lacquer "Pineapple Smoothie"

Hey guys and happy Saturday!  Today's nail polish is Lisa Lacquer's "Pineapple Smoothie."  This is an indie brand of nail polish that I first spotted on Instagram and when I saw this color I knew I couldn't wait any longer to try it out!

"Pineapple Smoothie" is a really pretty pastel yellow nail polish.  Formula wise "Pineapple Smoothie" was the tiniest bit watery but it didn't hinder the application at all.  After two coats, the polish was fully opaque and had just one or two streak marks from where I was too impatient between coats.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Pineapple Smoothie" for five days before I noticed some small wear and tear on the tips.

Overall I could not be happier with Lisa Lacquer's "Pineapple Smoothie."  This is going to be my go to polish for the rest of Summer!  And I can't wait to try out the other three polishes I ordered from Lisa Lacquer as well.  (As well as planning on ordering some more!).  I also can't say how pleased I was with how smoothly Lisa Lacquer's website was to order on and the polish shipped quickly and was well packaged!

Orly FX "Black Hole"

Hey everyone and happy happy Friday!  I have made a quick getaway to the mountains of North Carolina for the weekend and it is such a nice change of pace.  Today's nail polish is Orly FX's "Black Hole."

"Black Hole" is a really unique black crelly with red, white, blue and purple glitter in it.  The glitter ranges from small to large in size, some is circular, some is hexagonal and the rest is bar glitter.  The formula of "Black Hole" was quite thick but it made it easy to spread the glitter on the nail.  After two coats the polish was not quite opaque but it still looked nice.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Black Hole" for two days before the polish began to chip and snag.

Overall I like Orly FX's "Black Hole."  It is a fun polish that is different from anything else in my collection.  I will definitely wear this nail polish again as it is fun for special occasions.

OPI "Light Up My Sapphire"

Hello guys and happy Wednesday!  Even though it is the middle of Summer I couldn't resist pulling out a dark wintery color!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is OPI's "Light Up My Sapphire."

"Light Up My Sapphire" is a really deep navy nail polish with silver shimmer.  Formula wise this polish was fabulous and applied with ease.  After only one coat "Light Up My Sapphire" was entirely opaque and streak free.  However I added a second coat to test out the wear time.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Light Up My Sapphire" for five days before I noticed some chips.

Overall I am really happy with OPI's "Light Up My Sapphire."  The only slightly disappointing thing was the silver shimmer only showed up in bright sunlight on my nails.  However I will continue to wear this nail polish until the bottle runs out because the deep navy is stunning!

China Glaze "Glimmer More"

Hey guys and happy Monday!  As promised here's a fun glitter to make the Monday blues go away.  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Glimmer More."

"Glimmer More" is a fun pink and orange glitter in a clear base.  Formula wise this polish was watery and it was difficult to spread the glitter evenly.  However with the sponge technique (see my ring finger) I was able to get a more full and even coverage.  Since glitters usually make sun top coats I decided to test it out over a few opaque polishes.

The first polish I decided to try out with "Glimmer More" was Sinful Colors "aPEAsing."  This combination was cute and simple though not my favorite.

The second polish I tested out with "Glimmer More" was OPI's"Two-Timing The Zones."  This combination turned out so well!  It is very happy and festive and was be perfect for my niece's birth last week!  (Welcome to earth Avery!)

If you want to know more about Sinful Colors "aPEAsing" or OPI's "Two-Timing The Zones" check out some of my previous posts!

Overall I really like China Glaze's "Glimmer More."  It is a fun and brightly colored glitter that I cannot get enough of!  I would love to wear this polish all the time unfortunately at my job I can't get away with glitter nails, which means this pretty will be reserved for special occasions and the weekend.

"Island Coral" is a really pretty bright coral colored polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was good and very easy to apply.  After two coats "Island Coral" was entirely opaque and streak free and looked really nice on my nails!  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Island Coral" for four full days before I noticed some tip chips.

Overall I am really pleased with Sinful Colors "Island Coral."  Everything about this nail polish is great and I will definitely be wearing it a lot more often!

OPI "Two-Timing The Zones"

Hello everyone and happy Thursday!  After having a day off mid-week to celebrate 4th of July I had to return to work today.  So to help make it better I selected a bright happy pink!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is OPI's "Two-Timing The Zones."

"Two-Timing The Zones" is a really pretty bubblegum pink polish.  The formula was really great and applied well to my nails.  After two coats the polish was entirely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Two-Timing The Zones" for six full days before I noticed some wear and tear to my tips.

Overall I am in love with OPI's "Two-Timing The Zones."  Bubblegum pinks are my favorite and this one from OPI lived up to all my hopes and expectations!  If you couldn't tell I'll be wearing this polish until the bottle runs out!

4th of July Nail Art

Hello everyone and Happy 4th of July for all of us in the United States!  Today's post features some red, white and blue fun to celebrate the holiday!  If you are celebrating with fireworks today please be careful ad stay safe!

First I needed to pick out some nail polishes:

A England's "Spirit Of The Moors," Sinful Colors "Festival Fairy," OPI's "What's Your Point-settia?" and Sephora by OPI's "Be-Claus I Said So."

Next I painted the base color on, which is A England's "Spirit Of The Moors" a gorgeous blue.  My nails looked like this:

Next I used Sinful Colors "Festival Fairy" a pretty shimmer white to create a triangle on the right side of my nails.  It took three coats to get "Festival Fairy" opaque.  They then looked like this:

After that I used OPI's "What's Your Point-settia?" to make red triangles on the left side of my nails.  It again took three coats to get the polish semi-opaque.  The nails then looked like this:

The last thing I did was add some red glitter on top of OPI's "What's Your Point-settia?" and for that I used Sephora by OPI's "Be-Claus I Said So."  It was a pretty shimmer add and topped off the nail look.  The final look was:

If you want to know more about A England's "Spirit Of The Moors"OPI's "What's Your Point-settia?" or Sephora by OPI's "Be-Claus I Said So" check out some of my previous posts.

Overall I am really happy with how this nail art turned out.  It isn't anything fancy or difficult but it looked nice and worked well for the 4th of July holiday!  I hope everyone has a fun and safe day and enjoy the firework shows!

A England "Spirit Of The Moors"

Hey guys and happy Tuesday!  If you live in the U.S.A. like I do then you're probably enjoying a day off work tomorrow!  YAY!  Today's nail polish is A England's "Spirit Of The Moors" which is part of their Emily Bronte collection.

"Spirit Of The Moors" is a stunning royal blue with silver shimmer.  The formula of this polish was outstanding and applied with ease!  After two coats, "Spirit Of The Moors" was fully opaque with no streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five full days before I noticed a few small chips.

Overall I am really happy with A England's "Spirit Of The Moors."  Everything about this nail polish is lovely and I cannot wait to wear it again and again!  It is perfect for Summer as it is bright and reminds me of water shining off the ocean but it is also cool enough to wear in the Winter!

butterLONDON "Tiddly"

Hey Allan happy Sunday!  It is hard to believe that today is July 1st and we are halfway through 2018!  Now that summer is in full swing I selected a bright colored polish to wear!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is butterLONDON's "Tiddly."

"Tiddly" is a really pretty orange-coral color polish.  The formula of "Tiddly" was slightly watery but it was still fairly easy to apply.  After two coats the nail polish was not quite fully opaque but pretty close.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Tiddly" for three days before it began to flake off.

Overall I have mixed feeling about butterLONDON's "Tiddly."  I absolutely love the color but between the formula, chipping and lack of opaqueness it makes it hard for me to decide if I like the polish or not.
