China Glaze "Boundary Of Memory"

Hi guys!  It's hard to believe this is the last post of November!  So without further ado today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Boundary Of Memory."  This nail polish is part of China Glaze's Giver Collection based off of the movie The Giver.

"Boundary Of Memory" is a beautiful black and copper micro-glitter nail polish in a clear base.  Formula wise this nail polish was a tiny bit watery but it was easy enough to apply if you wipe the brush of excess polish.  After two coats, "Boundary Of Memory" was completely opaque and streak free.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for three days before it began to chip off.

Overall I really like China Glaze's "Boundary Of Memory."  The glittery color is gorgeous and a lot of fun to wear.  Even with the slightly watery formula I plan on wearing this nail polish again and again!

OPI "Take A Right On Bourbon"

Hi everyone!  I can't believe that November is almost over!  2016 has really just flown by!  Today's nail polish is OPI's "Take A Right On Bourbon" which I got in OPI's New Orleans mini set which looks like this:

"Take A Right On Bourbon" is a very shimmery nail polish that looks either silver or gold depending on the light.  Formula wise this nail polish was great and it was very easy to apply.  After two coats, "Take A Right On Bourbon" was completely opaque but there were some visible streak marks.  However streak marks with a shimmery polish are quite common and it was not too noticeable.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Take A Right On Bourbon" for five full days before there were a few minor tip chips.

Overall I am very impressed with OPI's "Take A Right On Bourbon."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I can't wait to wear this polish again soon!

Essie "After School Boy Blazer"

Hi everyone!  After a frenzied Black Friday of shopping I plan on relaxing and easy day.  (Also it is small business Saturday so go out and support local businesses and small online businesses!)  Today's nail polish is Essie's "After School Boy Blazer."

"After School Boy Blazer" is a gorgeous super dark blue that is almost black nail polish.  Formula wise this polish was fantastic and it was very easy to apply.  After two coats, "After School Boy Blazer" was completely opaque and streak free.  In fact its dark color colored my nail so well that the polish was opaque after only one coat!  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for six full days before there were a few noticeable chips.

Overall I am very impressed by Essie's "After School Boy Blazer."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I can hardly wait to wear this polish again soon!

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure "Ruby Do"

Hi all and Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope everyone has a wonderful day full of food and happiness! Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Salon Manicure's "Ruby Do" which I bought entirely for the word play in my favorite TV dog - Scooby-Do.

"Ruby Do" is a pretty burgundy colored nail polish that is perfect for Autumn.  Formula wise this nail polish was good but slightly eatery.  However the formula didn't affect the application too much instead it was the brush that made it difficult.  The brush is wide and flat which I usually do okay with but this brush had a weird chopped off angle that caused me to get about as much nail polish on my hands as I did on my nails.  (It took ages to clean it up!)  You can see in the picture below how odd the brush was.  After two coats, "Ruby Do" was completely opaque and streak free.  As or chipping, I was able to wear "Ruby Do" for four full days before there were some noticeable tip chips.

Overall I like Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure's "Ruby Do."  I love the color and how nicely it looked on my nails.  The only truly disappointing part was that the brush made it so difficult to apply - however I believe it is just my bottle of polish that has a defective brush because I have used others of the same brand and the brushes have been fine.  I will definitely wear this nail polish again but I may buy a different brush to apply it with!

Elle "Seaside Chic"

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone in the United States is looking forward to Thanksgiving on Thursday!  I know I am looking forward to the days off!  Today' nail polish is Elle's "Seaside Chic."  Elle is a brand that I have only every seen at Kohl's, which is an American store similar to TJ Maxx.  And now that I think of it I haven't seen this brand in a while so I am not sure whether Kohl's no longer carries it or if it is just the Kohl's by me.

"Seaside Chic" is a deep turquoise blue creme nail polish.  Formula wise "Seaside Chic was really good and it was easy to apply.  After two coats the nail polish was completely opaque and streak free. In fact the dark color of "Seaside Chic" made it opaque after only one coat!  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Seaside Chic" for four days before there were some minor tip chips.  "Seaside Chic" was unfortunately like a lot of other darkly colored polishes and it did leave some stains on my nails.

Overall I like Elle's "Seaside Chic."  Everything about this nail polish was nice except for the part where my nails got stained.  I would be willing to wear this nail polish again but I will use a thicker base coat to help avoid staining my nails.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Green Thumb"

Hi guys!  I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend!  Even though tomorrow is Monday, it 'll be a short week for all of us in the United States as we celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday!  Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Green Thumb."

"Green Thumb" is an olive green colored nail polish.  The formula of this polish was amazing and I had no trouble at all applying it.  After two coats "Green Thumb" was completely opaque and there were no streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Green Thumb" for five full days before I noticed any chips at all!

Overall I am super impressed by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Green Thumb."  Every single thing about this nail polish is fantastic - especially the price seeing as Sally Hansen retails for under $5 a bottle!  I'll definitely be wearing this nail polish until I empty the bottle!

Nails INC "The Thames"

Hi everyone!  We've made it to Friday, or should I say Fri-YAY!  Today's nail polish is Nails INC's "The Thames" which I got as part of a special set sold on QVC (an American shopping TV channel) called The London Collection which looks like this:

"The Thames" is the top center polish.

"The Thames" is fittingly a grey colored polish that tells of how dirty the river Thames has become.  (In case you aren't familiar with rivers the Thames runs through the center of London, England.)  Formula wise this polish was fantastic and very easy to apply.  After only one coat "The Thames" was completely opaque and streak free.  However I applied two coats of polish for the picture.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "The Thames" for six full days before there were a couple of small tip chips.

Overall I am very impressed with Nails INC's "The Thames."  I love a nail polish that can be worn as a one-coater and "The Thames" made it even better because the formula was so great!  I will be wearing "The Thames" a lot more often!

OPI "You're Such A Budapest"

Hi all!  We're halfway through the week and I am ready for the weekend to be here!  Today's nail polish is OPI's "You're Such A Budapest" which I got last year on Black Friday at ULTA in a mini trio called The Color of Purple which looks like this:

"You're Such A Budapest" is a gorgeous lavender colored nail polish.  The formula of this nail polish was good but just the tiniest bit thick.  After two coats, "You're Such A Budapest" was mostly opaque with a few streak marks and a small amount of visible nail.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this polish for three days before it began to chip off.

Overall I am disappointed in OPI's "You're Such A Budapest."  I love the color of this nail polish but the rest of it just did not hold up to the quality I usually see in OPI nail polishes.  That being said I would probably wear "You're Such A Budapest" again because it is a pretty color.

November Nail Art: Splatter Paint Nails!

Hi everyone!  November is flying by and Thanksgiving looms in the near future and then before we know it Christmas will be here!  So to slow time down today I decided to try out splatter paint nail art!  Splatter paint nails have been around for a while but this was my first time trying it and I settled on a Summery color theme (since Winter is in full swing and I'd like to see the sunshine soon!)  Here are the colors I picked out:

China Glaze's "At Vase Value," Orly Color Blast's "In Summer," and Nicole by OPI's "Lay It On The Lime."

The Three colors I used for this nail art are: China Glaze's "At Vase Value," Orly Color Blast's "In Summer," and Nicole by OPI's "Lay It On The Lime."  I used China Glaze's "At Vase Value" for the base polish and then I used a straw to splatter the other two polishes on top.  My work space looked like this:

After letting China Glaze's "At Vase Value" dried I took a straw and brushed the edge with nail polish off the brush and then blew air through the straw to create the fun splatter effect.  The first color I splattered was Orly Color Blast's "In Summer" and my nails looked like this:

After letting my nails dry a little I used a second straw to splatter on Nicole by OPI's "Lay It On The Lime."  After letting the splatter paint dry for a bit I applied a quick drying top coat and then proceeded to touch up my nails by removing the excess polish.

Overall I am quite pleased with how my splatter paint nail art turned out!  The colors looked great together and I received lots of compliments about my nails.  I am definitely going to try out splatter paint nail art again soon!

Ciaté "Shady Lady"

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!  Today's nail polish is Ciaté's "Shady Lady" which came in Ciaté's annual Mini Mani Advent Calendar.  "Shady Lady" was in 2015's Advent Calendar which looks like this:

"Shady Lady" is a gorgeous silver nail polish with silver shimmer.  Formula wise this nail polish was amazing and very easy to apply.  After two coats of polish, "Shady Lady" was completely opaque and only had a few minor streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for a full seven days before my nails had grown out and left a space between the polish and my cuticles.

Overall I am very impressed with Ciaté's "Shady Lady."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and while silver usually stands for second place this nail polish is definitely a first place winner!  I will be wearing this nail polish every chance I can get!

Maybelline "Clearly Spotted"

Hi guys!  We've almost made it to the weekend!  It has been a long week and I can hardly wait to relax and have an uneventful weekend.  Today's nail polish is Maybelline's "Clearly Spotted."

"Clearly Spotted" is a fun black and white glitter in a clear base.  The glitter comes in three different sizes with some pieces being round and others being hexagonal.  Formula wise this polish was surprisingly great and it apply easily.  Because "Clearly Spotted" is in a clear base coat it isn't meant to be opaque so I decided to test it out over a few other nail polishes.

The first polish I decided to try out with "Clearly Spotted" was OPI's "Look At My Bow!" which is a fun baby pink nail polish.  I think the combination turned out nicely and I received several compliments while wearing my nails this way.

The second nail polish I decided to try out with "Clearly Spotted" was Ciaté's "Shady Lady" which is a light silvery nail polish.  This combination turned out to be a nice neutral looking nail art.  It creates a grey scale that I like a lot.

Overall I am very happy with Maybelline's "Clearly Spotted."  The black and white glitter is very fun and reminds me of a Dalmatian.  I will definitely be wearing this nail polish again and I plan on trying it out over other colored polishes soon!

Zoya "Autumn"

Hi all!  It's Election Day in the United States so while we wait to see who our next President will be let's look at some nail polish!  Today's nail polish is fitting for the end of Autumn and reminds me of all the gorgeous falling leaves.  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Zoya's "Autumn."

"Autumn" is a gorgeous shimmery copper colored nail polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was good and easy to apply.  After two coats of polish, "Autumn" was completely opaque but it did have a few minor streak marks caused by the shimmer.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for six full days before there were one or two minor chips.

Overall I am really happy with Zoya's "Autumn."  Everything about this nail polish is wonderful and I cannot wait to wear this polish again soon!

butterLONDON "The Black Night"

Hi guys and happy Sunday!  I hope everyone enjoyed that extra hour of sleep last night, even if it means the sun will now set by 5pm for the rest of Winter.  Today's nail polish is butterLONDON's "The Black Knight."

"The Black Knight" is a unique black jelly (a nail polish that is made to be buildable) with multi-colored micro glitter in it.  Formula wise "The Black Knight" was great and very easy to apply.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "The Black Knight" for five days before there were some minor tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with butterLONDON's "The Black Knight."  Everything about this nail polish is nice and it looked fantastic on my nails!  I will definitely rock this nail polish again very soon!

Sephora Formula X "Bombshell"

Hi all!  I hope everyone is having a great Friday, mine has been a disaster thus far.  (Broken computers, misplaced cellphones and a panic attack later I've finally made it to the weekend!!) Today's nail polish is Formula X's "Bombshell" which is the perfect polish for Halloween.  (And yes I know I am a few days after Halloween but I only wear pink polish in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.)

"Bombshell" is a black and orange glitter in a clear base.  The formula of this nail polish was good and the glitter spread evenly on my nails without too much effort.  Since "Bombshell" is in a clear base coat it isn't mean to be worn alone so I decided to test it out over a few colored nail polishes.

The first polish I decided to try out with "Bombshell" was Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in "Black Heart."  This combination was the most Halloween combination that I could possibly make and I will definitely remember this for next year!

The second nail polish I decided to try out with "Bombshell" was Essie's "Virgin Snow."  This combination turned out okay and wasn't awful but at the same time it wasn't my favorite combo.

Overall I am really pleased with Formula X for Sephora's "Bombshell."  I am always a fan of a fun chunky glitter and I cannot wait to rock this nail polish next Halloween!

Sinful Colors "Pumpkin Spice"

Hi guys and happy November!  I hope everyone is excited about the start of a new month (and we are slowly creeping towards Christmas and New Year's!)  Today's nail polish is the perfect polish to Autumn because it represents everyone's favorite Autumn item!  Today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Pumpkin Spice."

"Pumpkin Spice" is a beautiful glitter polish featuring fuchsia, copper and gold glitter in a clear base.  Formula wise this nail polish is fair but the glitter enjoyed sticking to the brush instead of my nails.  After two coats of "Pumpkin Spice" it was not opaque but it wasn't meant to be because "Pumpkin Spice" is a top coat.  As for chipping, I didn't wear this nail polish by itself for very long so I am not sure how long it would last before chipping.

Overall I really like Sinful Colors "Pumpkin Spice."  This is the perfect glitter for Autumn and I look forward to testing it out on top of a variety of nail polishes soon.
