Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Carnival"

Hi all!  I can't believe that May is almost over.  (This year seems to be flying by!)  However, now that Summer is in full swing I decided to pull out a chunky glitter nail polish to celebrate!  Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Carnival."

"Carnival" is a multi-colored glitter in a clear base.  The glitter comes in yellow, orange, light blue. dark blue, tan, and black glitter.  Formula wise "Carnival" is horrible!  The clear base was thick and the glitter refused to stick on my nails.  As for chipping I have no idea how long this polish would have lasted because it looked so horrible on my nails.

Since "Carnival" has a clear base I decided to test it out over Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Kiwi Bikini."  The combination turned out okay, but since "Carnival" hates being applied to my nail and didn't go on in an even coat the combination turned out worse than I would have liked.

Overall I am disappointed with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Carnival."  I love multi-colored glitters but everything else about this nail polish was terrible.  I probably won't be wearing this nail polish again any time soon.

If you want to see some other similar multi-glitter polishes check out this comparison post from earlier this year here.

China Glaze "Mind The Gap"

Hi guys!  Today's nail polish is an ode London, which is one of my favorite places in the world.  So without further ado today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Mind The Gap."  (London's tube system is great fun for me because there is nothing at all like it where I live in North Carolina.)

"Mind The Gap" is an interesting green-gold-ish micro-glittered polish.  Formula wise this polish has a slightly thick, but it was still easy enough to apply.  After two coats, "Mind The Gap" was completely opaque and streak free.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Mind The Gap" for about four days before there were some noticeable tip chips.

Overall I have mixed feelings about China Glaze's "Mind The Gap."  It was nice how long I was able to wear this polish but I'm not a huge fan of the color.  So while the nail polish is fair I probably won't wear this nail polish too often because I didn't care for the polish's color.

Formula X for Sephora "TNT"

Hi everyone!  We've made it to Friday again!  (Or Fri-YAY as I like to call it!)  Today's nail polish is Formula X for Sephora's "TNT." Formula X is a brand of nail polish made specially for Sephora stores.

"TNT" is a very fun chunky neon blue glitter in a clear base.  Formula wise, I was very surprised to discover how good this polish was and it went on very easily.  However like most glitters this polish was not to be opaque or worn alone so I decided to test it out over another polish.

The polish I decided to try out with "TNT" is butter LONDON's "Airy Fairy."  The combination turned out nicely because instead of emphasizing the glitter it created a textured look on my nail.  This is a combination that I will wear again!

If you want to know more about butter LONDON's "Airy Fairy" check out my post from earlier this year here.

Overall I am very pleased with Formula X's "TNT."  This nail polish is very nice and I will defintiely wear this nail polish again!

Sephora by OPI "Leotard Optional"

Hi guys!  Can you believe it is only seven months til Christmas?  Thankfully we have a lot of warm weather left before Santa and his reindeer get here!  So today's nail polish is a nice nude from the retired Sephora by OPI collection, and that nail polish is called "Leotard Optional."

"Leotard Optional" is a nice taupe colored nail polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was fantastic and very easy to apply.  After two coats of polish "Leotard Optional" was completely opaque and streak free.  In fact this polish was so wonderful that it could be worn as a one-coater!  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Leotard Optional" for about six days before there were a few minor tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Sephora by OPI's "Leotard Optional."  Everything about this nail polish is lovely and I will be wearing it again soon!

Essie "Garden Variety"

Hi guys!  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, and even though it is Monday again (or it was when I planned to post it!  Now it's Tuesday!) I decided to look on the bright side and pull out a lovely turquoise colored polish.  So today's nail polish is Essie's "Garden Variety."

"Garden Variety" is a gorgeous turquoise colored polish.. Formula wise this nail polish was good and very easy to apply.  After two coats, "Garden Variety" was completely opaque and streak free.  In fact this nail polish went on so well that it can almost be worn as a one-coater!  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Garden Variety" for about four days before there were some noticeable chips.  Surprisingly even though this nail polish is a dark color it did not stain my nails, which is great!

Overall I am very pleased with Essie's "Garden Variety."  Everything about this nail polish is great and I will definitely be wearing it a lot more often!

Zoya "Wednesday"

Hi all and happy weekend!  Today's nail polish is a favorite of mine because of the gorgeous aquamarine color.  So without any further ado, today's nail polish is Zoya's "Wednesday."

"Wednesday" is a perfect aquamarine colored polish that is perfect for Summertime!  Formula wise this polish is fantastic and super easy to apply.  After two coats of polish, "Wednesday" was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for six full days before there were a few minor tip chips.

Overall I am very happy with Zoya's "Wednesday."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and wonderful.  I will continue to wear this nail polish often!

If you are curious, a few years back I compared several aquamarine colored polishes including "Wednesday" which you can check out here.

OPI "My Holiday Shoes"

Hi guys!  Today's nail polish is OPI's "My Holiday Shoes" which is part of a Black Friday mini trio I got.  (Even though this polish is more of a Christmastime nail polish I just couldn't resist trying it out now!)  The trio is called Be Bold, Be Dramatic and the set looks like this:

"My Holiday Shoes" is a gorgeous bright red nail polish.  Formula wise this nail polish is amazing and it was very easy to apply.  In fact it was so wonderful to apply that it was almost a one-coater! However I applied two coats just to be on the safe side.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "My Holiday Shoes" for about five days before there were a few minor tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with OPI's "My Holiday Shoes."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I will definitely be wearing it again soon!

Wet N' Wild "Blazed"

Hi guys!  Here in North Carolina Spring just doesn't seem to want to end, so until Summer completely arrives I decided to pull out a bright summery polish.  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Wet N' Wild's "Blazed."

"Blazed" is a pretty coral colored creme nail polish.  Formula wise "Blazed" was good and easy to apply.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Blazed" for about three days before it started to chip off.

Overall I am pleased with Wet N' Wild's "Blazed."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I will definitely be wearing this nail polish again soon!

Hi everyone!  I hope y'all are having a great weekend!  (I enjoyed the nice weather we had yesterday in North Carolina!)  Today's nail polish is Whim's "Pop-sicle."

"Pop-sicle" is a gorgeous coral colored polish.  Formula wise this nail polish is fantastic and it was very easy to apply.  After two coats, "Pop-sicle" was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Pop-sicle" for six full days before there were a few minor tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Whim's "Pop-sicle."  Everything about this nail polish is wonderful, especially how long I was able to wear this polish before it chipped.  I will definitely be wearing this nail polish a lot more often.

Orly Color Blast "In Summer"

Hi all!  Summer is in full swing at my house now so I couldn't resist pulling out a bright yellow polish to enjoy the sunshine with!  Today's nail polish is Orly Color Blast's "In Summer" which was part of their Frozen Collection.

"In Summer" is a fun bright yellow polish with a golden shimmer.  Formula wise this nail polish was the tiniest bit watery but it was still easy to apply.  After two coats of polish "In Summer" was not completely opaque but there were no visible streak marks.  "In Summer" was not opaque because it is such a light color, but it still looked fair on my nails.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "In Summer" for about three days before there were any noticeable chips.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Orly Color Blast's "In Summer."  Everything about this nail polish is great, except that it was not opaque.  However that is such a small detail and only noticeable when you look at my nails up close that I am willing to wear this nail polish again.

Nails INC "Electric Lane"

Hi everyone!  My apologies for this post being a day later than planned, Monday got away from me I totally forgot to post!  Today's nail polish is Nails INC's "Electric Lane" which is part of a special Nails INC set that was sold by QVC a few years back called The London Collection.  The set looks like this:

"Electric Lane" is in the center row on the far right.

"Electric Lane" is a gorgeous silver micro-glitter polish.  Formula wise "Electric Lane" is perfect and was very easy to apply in a nice even coat.  Since this polish is a glitter it wasn't meant to be worn by itself so I decided to try it out over some other nail polishes.

The first nail polish I decided to try "Electric Lane" over is Fresh Paints' "Glass Slipper."  This combination turned out to be very pretty and reminded me endlessly of Cinderella.  It is a very Summery look!

If you want to know more about Fresh Paints' "Glass Slipper" check out my post from earlier this month here.

The second nail polish I decided to try "Electric Lane" over is OPI's "My Holiday Shoes."  This combination turned out nicely and would be perfect for Christmastime!

Overall I am very pleased with Nails INC's "Electric Lane."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and it looks good on every nail polish I tried.  I will definitely be wearing "Electric Lane" again and again!

Essie "Romper Room"

Hi all and Happy Weekend!  Today's nail polish is Essie's "Romper Room."  This polish is part of a four piece mini collection featuring part of the 2014 Hide and Go Chic Collection.  The set looks like:

"Romper Room" is a lovely pastel pink nail polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was fair easy to apply, but the miniature size of the bottle makes it a bit difficult to hold on to the wand.  After two coats, "Romper Room" was completely opaque and mostly streak free.  There were a few minor streak marks, which is quite common for a pastel.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Romper Room" for about three days before there were a few tip chips.

Overall I am pretty pleased with Essie's "Romper Room."  Everything about this nail polish is nice and the color is perfect for the end of Spring/ the beginning of Summer.  I will definitely be wearing this nail polish again soon!

China Glaze "Pack Lightly"

Hi all!  Happy Cinco de Mayo!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Pack Lightly."  (I love the name of this polish and it is so unfitting for me because I am the heaviest packer on earth!)

"Pack Lightly" is a gorgeous pastel pink polish with a golden shimmer.  Formula wise this polish is extremely watery to the point that it dripped off the brush like water!  After two coats of polish, "Pack Lightly" was completely opaque but there were a few streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Pack Lightly" for three days before there were some noticeable tip chips.

Overall I have mixed feelings about China Glaze's "Pack Lightly."  I love the color and how it looked on my nails but the watery formula made it insanely difficult to apply.  However the color is pretty and I love the name if this polish so I will probably try this nail polish again!

Thanks for reading my blog!  :)

Fresh Paints "Glass Slipper"

Hi guys!  Today's nail polish comes from an American store called Five Below, which is a variety store that sells everything for $5 (USD) or less.  I was able to purchase this brand of nail polish, 3 for $5 which is a good price.  So today's nail polish is Fresh Paints' "Glass Slipper."

"Glass Slipper" is a light blue nail polish that has a Cinderella theme.  Formula wise this nail polish was very thick and it was not the easiest to apply.  After two coats, "Glass Slipper" was completely opaque but did have a few small streak marks.  In terms of chipping I was only able to wear "Glass Slipper" for about a day and a half before it started to flake off in fair sized chunks.

Overall I am a bit disappointed with Finger Paints' "Glass Slipper."  The only thing about this nail polish that I liked is its color and name, other wise it was a waste of time.  I probably won't be wearing "Glass Slipper" again because I own other nail polishes in the same color that are easier to apply and wear.

Ciaté "Tweed and Tails"

Hi all!  I can't believe it is May already!  Now that Summer has arrived in North Carolina all the trees are full of gorgeous green leaves!  So to celebrate I pulled out a green nail polish!  And that nail polish is Ciaté's "Tweed and Tails."  This nail polish is part of Ciaté's annual Advent Calendar for 2013.  The set looks like this:

"Tweed and Tails" is under number 18.

"Tweed and Tails" is a lovely army green nail polish!  Formula wise this nail polish was perfect and very easy to apply.  After two coats of polish, "Tweed and Tails" was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for about five full days before there were some minor tip chips.  And despite being a darker colored polish it did not stain my nails at all, which is wonderful!

Overall I am very pleased with Ciaté's "Tweed and Tails."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I plan on wearing it a lot more often!
