Bundle Monster Plate S407: Seashell Nails

Hey guys and happy Sunday!  Today's nail polish is actually some nail art featuring Bundle Monster Color products.  I decided for the first time to use two stamping polishes at the same time on one plate to blend the colors together.  Here are the polishes I selected:

Bundle Monster Color "Clarissa Blue" and "Rocko Wear" and Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Black Heart."

Before stamping on my nails I used Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Black Heart" as the base.  Here's how it looked on my nails:

Next I pulled out Bundle Monster Plate S407 which features shells, waves and all things oceans.  (It completely reminds me of Moana.  The plate looked like this:

The last step was to place two blobs of polish - one of "Rocko Wear" and the other of "Clarissa Blue" and spread them out on the plate.  As the polish spreads it blends in the middle to create a nice gradient.  Then I simply picked the design up and placed it on my nails.

If you was to know more about Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Black Heart" check out my post from earlier this year.

Overall I am really thrilled with how this look came out.  It is everything I could have hoped for and I plan on wearing a version of this look again later this Summer when I go to the beach!

Covergirl "Salt Water Taffy"

Hey all and happy Saturday!  Today's nail polish is Covergirl's "Salt Water Taffy" which I couldn't resist having as I love to eat real salt water taffy.  (It is one of the perks about living within a few hours drive of the coast!)

"Salt Water Taffy" is a really pretty pastel green that is a nice color for Spring.  The formula of this nail polish was quite watery and required me to wipe the brush off several times before placing it on my nail to ensure the polish didn't flood my cuticles.  After two coats, "Salt Water Taffy" was almost completely opaque but did have a few noticeable streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Salt Water Taffy" for three days before it began to flake off.

Overall I have mixed feelings on Covergirl's "Salt Water Taffy."  I wanted to love this polish because the color is really pretty but the watery formula really drags it down.  The being said I wonder is this polish would work for water marble or other nail art as I would hate to get rid of such a pretty color.

OPI "Yodel Me On My Cell"

Hello everyone and happy almost Friday.  It has been a crazy long week for me and I am looking forward to getting out of town for the weekend with my best friends! So without further ado, today's nail polish is OPI's "Yodel Me On My Cell."

"Yodel Me On My Cell" is a pretty royal blue with silver shimmer.  The formula of this polish was fantastic and very easy to apply.  After two coats "Yodel Me On My Cell" was entirely opaque and streak free.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for a full week before my nails began to grow out and I still didn't see much chipping just some wear and tear on my tips.

Overall I am really pleased with OPI's "Yodel Me On My Cell."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing!  The color is also stunning and will be perfect for Summer days spent dreaming of being at the beach!

Sinful Colors "Thimbleberry"

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!  Today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Thimbleberry."  Sinful Colors is a lovely drugstore brand of polish that is extremely affordable and costs around $1.99 (USD) a bottle.

"Thimbleberry" is a bright happy reddish-pink nail polish.  Formula wise this polish was absolutely fantastic and applied with ease.  After only one coat, "Thimbleberry" was completely opaque and streak free.  However I did apply a second for the above picture.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for six full days before I noticed a few minor tip chips.

Overall I am in love with Sinful Colors "Thimbleberry."  Everything about this nail polish a perfect and it is going to be one of my go-tos this Summer!

Essie "Go With The Flowy"

Hello all and a very happy Sunday to you!  The sun is shining and the air is warm (but also full of pollen #allergyseason but I'll take the warmth!)  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Essie's "Go With The Flowy" to help remind me to ride out the pollen because it means Summer is on the way!

"Go With The Flowy" is a really pretty and subdued grey polish with a hint of silver shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish was fantastic and extremely easy to apply.  After two coats, "Go With The Flowy" was entirely opaque and streak free.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this polish for five days before I noticed any chips.

Overall I am really pleased with Essie's Go With The Flowy."  The color is gorgeous and not one I have a lot of in my collection.  I definitely plan to wear this nail polish a lot more often!

Nail Art: Citrus Slices

Hello all and happy happy Saturday!  (The sun is shining and I went on my bi-annual trip to the mall.)  Today's nail polish is actually some nail art - YAY!  Since I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida oranges have always been a normal part of my life - so I couldn't resist putting some orange slices on my nails!

Before I started the design I needed to select some nail polishes.  So here's what I choose:

Cirque Colors "Mermaid Parade", Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Mellow Yellow" and "Sun Kissed", Bundle Monster Color's "Bam! White" and Zoya's "Shawn."

Next I applied two coats of Cirque Colors "Mermaid Parade" as a gorgeous blue base.  My nails looked like this:

Next I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Mellow Yellow" as the bottom part of the slice.  I applied a few coats until I couldn't see the blue underneath.  My nails then looked like this:

After the yellow polish was dry I used a dotting tool to make smaller orange circles inside the yellow circles.  The orange polish I used was Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Sun Kissed."  After the polish had a chance to dry, cleaned up around the edges of my nails and then began applying the white lines to create the orange's veins.  I used Bundle Monster Color's "Bam! White" for the lines because it is a good thicker white polish (can be used for stamping) that stays in place well.  My nails then looked like this:

Finally I applied Zoya's "Shawn" to create a few cute little leaves.  And then my nail art was complete!

If you want to learn more about Cirque Colors "Mermaid Parade"Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Mellow Yellow", Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Sunkissed"Bundle Monster Color's "Bam! White" or Zoya's "Shawn" check out some of my previous posts!

Overall I love how this nail art turned out and the nostalgia for my childhood was strong.  I'd love to wear this design again!

China Glaze "Too Yacht To Handle"

Hey everyone and happy Fri-YAY!!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Too Yacht To Handle."  And I won't lie - initially bought this polish because the pun in the name was right up my alley but I also adore the color as well.

"Too Yacht To Handle" is a gorgeous aquamarine colored polish.  Formula wise "Too Yacht To Handle" was quite watery and very streaky.  After two coats the nail polish was not opaque and had some noticeable streak marks.  It also went on my nail in a very uneven fashion.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this polish for one day not because of chips but because it looked terrible on my nails.

Overall I am sad about China Glaze's "Too Yacht To Handle."  The color and name were great but the formula and wear time were not great.  Sadly I don't think I will be keeping this polish in my collection for too much longer as I am not very likely to wear it again and I have other China Glaze polishes that look a lot nicer.

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Black Heart"

Hi guys and happy Wednesday!  It's nearly the weekend again!  Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Black Heart" which if you follow the blog you have seen appear in various nail art over the years.

Unsurprisingly "Black Heart" is a black creme nail polish.  Formula wise this polish was great and extremely easy to apply.  After only one coat "Black Heart" was completely streak free and opaque.  However I applied two coats for the picture above.  As for chipping, this nail polish lasted four full days before I noticed a few chips.

Overall I really love Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Black Heart."  Everything about this nail polish makes it a real stunner!  And while I usually wear brighter polishes this vampy dark look was a fun change of pace!

Zoya "Zahara"

Hello all and happy Monday!  It poured rain all night but everything was so green today!  I'm so glad Spring has finally decided to show up in North Carolina!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Zoya's "Zahara."

"Zahara" is a lovely creamsicle orange polish with a hint of silver shimmer.  The formula of this polish was practically perfect and it applied well.  After two coats, "Zahara" was almost entirely opaque but did have a few small patchy spots.  A third coat would definitely have fixed the problem because I tested it on my pinky nail.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for four days before there was some small tip chips.

Overall I really like Zoya's "Zahara."  The color is simple and unique to most of the polishes in my collection.  I plan on wearing this nail polish a lot more often and think it will be nice for Summertime!

Nail Art: Water Marble Redo

Hello everyone and happy Saturday!  Today's nail polish is actually my second attempt at water marbling.  (If you want to see my last attempt see the link at the end of this post.). Last time I struggled to get the pretty patterns and it was a disaster, so this time I did a little more research and watched a lot of videos on YouTube and Instagram.  One of the main takeaways was that not all polishes work well so I picked out Essie and OPI polishes which got a lot of good reviews.

OPI "What's Your Point-settia?", Essie "Meet Me At Sunset" and OPI "Exotic Birds Don't Tweet."

The nail polishes I selected were OPI's "Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet" and What's Your Point-settia?" as well as Essie's "Meet Me At Sunset."  I decided to do fire colors as we are heading into Summer where bonfires are the best way to hang out.  My set up was fairly simple:

I used Bundle Monster's Lotus Mat as well as the brush with the pointed tip to create the designs.  The brush came in a set of eight and worked well.  I also used room temperature bottled water that had time to settle in a plastic disposable cup that I cut to a smaller size.  The other key is to protect your nail beds using either tape or a peel-able product.  I used Bundle Monster Colors  "Poli-Peel.

Here is my previous attempt at Glitter Water Marble as well as a review of Bundle Monster Colors "Poli-Peel".

Overall I think this attempt was far superior than my first try however I have a lot of work to do before I would call it successful.  Of the three polishes I selected spread well in the water so I think they could be used successfully to water marble.  Leave your tips and tricks in the comments to help me become a better water marbler!

Color Club "Tic-Tac-Toe"

Hi guys!  Who else is excited for tomorrow to be Friday?!?  Today's nail polish is Color Club's "Tic-Tac-Toe" which I managed to find at my local Wal-Mart last year.

"Tic-Tac-Toe" is a bright neon lime green nail polish.  Formula wise "Tic-Tac-Toe" was a bit thick and goopy.  It took some patience and short quick swipes to apply evenly on my nails.  After two coats the polish was noticeably streaky and not really opaque.  I think a third coat would probably fix the issue.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Tic-Tac-Toe" for three days before it began to flake off.  A fun added bonus was that this polish dried as a matte and it looked like this:

Overall I have mixed feelings about Color Club's "Tic-Tac-Toe."  I love how bright and happy it is but I wish it had a better formula and was not as streaky.  That being said I will probably wear this polish again regardless because it is fun and bright!

Essie "Mod Square"

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!  The sun is shining and I celebrated with some bright nails!  Today's nail polish is Essie's "Mod Square" which I have been dying to try for a long time now!

"Mod Square" is a stunning bright pink nail polish.  The formula of this nail polish was very good but leaned ever so slightly towards the watery side.  However the application was a breeze!  After two coats, "Mod Square" was completely opaque and only had one weird thick spot on my ring finger nail.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this polish for six days before I noticed any wear and tear.

Overall I am really please by Essie's "Mod Square."  It was everything that I had hoped it would be!  I cannot wait to wear this nail polish throughout the rest of Spring and into Summer!  (I think it'll be perfect for bikini season!)

Claire's "Bubbles"

Hello guys and happy Sunday!  Today's nail polish is Claire's "Bubbles."  Claire's is a store usually located in malls  that sell jewelry, hair accessories and nail polish.  Most of the time they target 8 -12 year olds but occasionally I pop in to see what kind of nail polishes they have.

"Bubbles" is a gorgeous aquamarine/ice blue colored polish.  The formula of "Bubbles" was fair and went on my nails pretty easily.  After two coats the nail polish was not opaque and had several visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Bubbles" for about a day and a half as it didn't look very nice on my nails.

Overall I was definitely disappointed by Claire's "Bubbles."  The color looked so lovely in the bottle but everything after that was downhill.  I probably won't be wearing this nail polish again any time soon.

Beautiful Disney "Let Your Hair Down"

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekend!  Today's nail polish is Beautifully Disney's "Let Your Hair Down" and is themed after Rapunzel from the movie Tangled.  It came as a set called Unlock The Spell which looks like this:

"Let Your Hair Down" is a fun hot pink colored polish.  Formula wise "Let Your Hair Down" was a bit watery but the application was okay.  After two coats the nail polish was mostly opaque but there were a few area on the tips that were see-through.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Let Your Hair Down" for three days before it began to chip off.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Beautifully Disney's "Let Your Hair Down."  The color is nice and pretty but the formula and wear time could have been better.  More than likely I will wear this nail polish again.  It is also a small bottle so it will probably run out quickly.

OPI "Suzi Without A Paddle"

Hey everyone and happy Wednesday!  The sun is kind of shining today so to go with the blue sky I picked out this pretty polish to wear!  So without any more waiting, here's today's nail polish is OPI's "Suzi Without A Paddle."

"Suzi Without A Paddle" is a lovely pastel blue colored nail polish.  Formula wise this polish was good and applied easily to my nails.  After two coats "Suzi Without A Paddle" was entirely opaque with no visible streak marks. As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five full days before I noticed any chips.

Overall I really like OPI's "Suzi Without A Paddle."  Everything from the color to the wear time is fantastic!  I can't wait to wear this nail polish again!

Femme Fatale "Nightfall"

Hello guys!  It's Monday but hopefully you all survived! Today's nail polish is Femme Fatale's "Nightfall" which was a specialty polish for the website Live. Love. Polish.  Femme Fatale is an indie brand and has adorable packaging!

"Nightfall" in the bottle (at a normal temperature) was light purple with a hint of blue.  It also has this gorgeous silver and holo glitter.  Formula wise "Nightfall" was nice and applied with ease.  After two coats the nail polish was just about completely opaque but when the color changes you can't tell whether it was opaque or not because it looks so good!  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Nightfall" for five full days before I noticed some wear and tear.

Since this polish is color changing I ran it under cold water and it looked like this:

Then I let it warm back up and it looked like this on my nail:

Overall I really like Femme Fatale's "Nightfall."  The color change is gorgeous but given the choice I like the colder color.  I can't wait to wear this polish again and again!

Easter Egg Nails

Hello everyone and Happy Easter to those who celebrate - whether Christian or not.  Today's nail art is actually inspired by dyed Easter eggs!  So without further ado to celebrate, I decided to create some  nails that would make even the Easter Bunny proud.  First off I selected my polishes:

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Mellow Yellow", OPI "Suzi Without A Paddle", Sinful Colors "Thimbleberry", Rimmel London "Sweet Lavender" and Bundle Monster Color "Bam! White".

Once the fun colors were selected it was time to paint one nail each color - a real throwback to the middle school days when this look was popular:

Next it was time to add the designs using dotting tools and Bundle Monster Color's "Bam! White."  Here are the dotting tools, which I got on Amazon for a reasonable price, look like:

If you want to know more about Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Mellow Yellow"Bundle Monster Color's "Bam! White" or Rimmel London's Sweet Lavender" check out some of my previous posts!

Overall I am really pleased with how these nails turned out.  The look is fun and simple and will look great for today as we celebrate.
