China Glaze "Crimson"

Hi everyone and happy middle of the week!  Anyone else already ready for the weekend?  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Crimson."  Here's how this dark vampy polish looks in the bottle:

"Crimson" is a deep dark purple creme that is perfect for Autumn and Winter!  The formula of this nail polish is really good and applied in nice even layers.  After two coats "Crimson" was fully opaque and looked fabulous on my nails!  Look at this deep beauty up close:

Overall I am thrilled by China Glaze's "Crimson."  Everything about this polish is perfect and I cannot wait to wear it when the weather cools off later this year!

China Glaze "Living In The Elmo-ment"

Hi all and happy Wednesday!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Living in the Elmo-ment" from their Sesame Street collection.  Here's how this stunning glitter looks like in the bottle:

"Living in the Elmo-ment" is a gorgeous red glitter that is meant to remind you of everyone's favorite Sesame Street character - Elmo!  The formula of this polish is slightly thick but it applied so well to my nails!  The coverage was so good that you can probably get away with wearing only a single coat - though I applied two on my nails.  Look at this glitter up close:

Overall I am in love with China Glaze's "Living in the Elmo-ment."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and it will be a great year round nail polish!

China Glaze "Kill'em With Kindness"

Hello All and welcome to the weekend!!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Kill'em With Kindness" from their My Little Pony collection.  Here's how this happy nail polish look sin the bottle:

"Kill'em With Kindness" is a pretty pastel yellow creme.  The formula of this nail polish is good - it applies well but like many pastels it is a little streaky.  After three coats "Kill'em With Kindness" looked great and was opaque and streak free!  Look at this lovely Springtime pastel up close:

Overall I am very pleased with China Glaze's "Kill'em With Kindness."  I love having a pastel yellow in my collection and I look forward to wearing this nail polish in Spring and Summer!

NAIL ART: Valentine's Day Hearts

Hi guys and Happy Valentine's Day!  To celebrate the festive day of love I decided to try out a very basic heart nail art.  I started with two nail polishes - Color Club "Star Light, Star Bright" and China Glaze "Living In The Elmo-ment."  Here are the nail polishes in the bottles:

Color Club "Star Light, Star Bright" and China Glaze "In The Elmo-ment"

To start the nail art design I used two coats of Color Club's "Star Light, Star Bright."  Here's how the gold holographic base looks:

Next I used a dotting tool to place two dots next to each other with China Glaze's "Living In The Elmo-ment."  Here are how the dots turned out:

After adding the dots I used the same dotting tool to extend the dots into red hearts.  After a quick drying top coat my basic heart nails were complete:

Overall I am really pleased with how this very simple nail art turned out.  It's been a long time since I have attempted any designs so I wanted to go simple - and I have no regrets.  These nails are perfect for today!

China Glaze "In The Near Fuchsia"

Hi guys and happy Thursday!  Today's second post features China Glaze's "In The Near Fuchsia" which I have had in my collection for ages (like the college days!).  Here's how this pretty looks in the bottle:

"In The Near Fuchsia" is a pretty bright fuchsia creme.  The formula of this nail polish is lovely and can almost be worn with only a single coat!  I applied a second coat to even out a few spots on my nails but after that it was perfect and streak free.  Here's how this beauty looks up close:

Overall I am thrilled with China Glaze's "In The Near Fuchsia."  I am amazed at how lovely this polish is and how after being in my collection for years the formula is still perfect!  I will continue to wear "In The Near Fuchsia" regularly.

Hey all and happy happy Wednesday!  (Halfway to the weekend!)  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Sunday Funday."  Who else could use a nice relaxing Sunday Funday this weekend?  Here's how this pretty looks in the bottle:

"Sunday Funday" is a lovely bright blue creme - this color is fabulous for Summertime!  The formula of this nail polish was perfect and applied with ease.  After two coats, "Sunday Funday" was entirely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  Here's how this happy blue looks on my nails:

Overall I am thrilled by China Glaze's "Sunday Funday."  This color is stunning and I cannot wait until Summertime as I think this will be my go-to nail polish!

China Glaze "Private Side-Eye"

Hi everyone and happy Sunday!  I hope everyone in the United States is enjoying the holiday weekend.  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Private Side-Eye" which is such a pretty color for Wintertime!  Here's how "Private Side-Eye" looks in the bottle:

"Private Side-Eye" is an absolutely pretty deep purple with micro iridescent glitter.  It reminds me so much of the night sky!  The formula of this polish is slightly watery but as long as I wiped the excess polish off of the brush head it applied really well.  After three coats"Private Side-Eye" was completely opaque and did not have any streak marks.  Look at this beauty up close:

Overall I am pleased with China Glaze's "Private Side-Eye."  The color is so pretty and it looked really great on my nails!  I will definitely be keeping this nail polish in my collection for a long time to come.

China Glaze "Bring On The Bubbly"

Hello everyone and happy Sunday!  Sorry for the gap between posts - I had knee surgery and have been recovering.  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Bring On The Bubbly."  Here's how this beauty looks in the bottle:

"Bring On The Bubbly" is a pretty gold and silver glitter in a clear base.  The glitter is all sorts of random sizes and the silver glitter is almost iridescent - it is so gorgeous!  The formula of "Bring On The Bubbly" is good and applied easily to my nails.  But like most glitters it is not meant to be opaque and can be worn over other polishes - is I decided to try it out!

I wore "Bring On The Bubbly" over Maniology's "Luna" to create a neutral but gorgeous glittery look!  This combination surprised me with how pretty it was - it made a statement but I could easily get away with this look in the office.  Look how pretty:

Ciaté "Back To Black" Pearls

Hello guys and happy Wednesday!  Today's nail polish is Ciate's "Black To Black" pearls.  These are loose pearls that can be placed into any design on your nails.  This mini bottle came in one of Ciate's annual Advent calendars.  Here's how the pearls look into the bottle:

"Back To Black" pearls come in two sizes mixed into one bottle.  Since these are meant to be used in nail art I decided to create a polka dot design.  First I applied China Glaze's "Gold Mind Your Business" so my nails looked like this:

Next I applied a clear coat of polish and used a pair of tweezers to place the pearls on my nails in a random design.  Here's how the finished looked up close:

Overall Ciate's "Back To Black" pearls are a lot of fun - though highly impractical for daily use.  But I love the 3D look and will keep the pearls on hand for future nail art!

China Glaze "Gold Mind Your Business"

Hello all and happy Monday!  Sorry for the lack of posts - 2020 has thrown me a curve ball and I've been busy trying to take care of myself.  But without further ado, today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Gold Mind Your Business."  Here's how this polish looks in the bottle:

"Gold Mind Your Business" is not surprisingly a golden shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish is good and it applied well to my nails.  The polish is very sheer and it took four coats for "Gold Mind Your Business" to be opaque.  Here's how this shimmer looks up close:

Overall I like China Glaze's "Gold Mind Your Business."  The golden shimmer is really pretty and the formula is nice but I wish it didn't take so many coats to be opaque.  That being said this nail polish will remain in my collection for a longtime to come.

Hello all and happy Thursday!  Today was a bright sunny end of Summer day and I couldn't resist a shimmery polish!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is China Glaze's "The More The Berrier."  Here's how the polish looks in the bottle:

"The More The Berrier" is a gorgeous fuchsia with a golden shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish is amazing and it applied with ease to my nails.  After two coats "The More The Berrier" was entirely opaque and streak free.  Here's how this pretty looks up close:

Overall I am really pleased with China Glaze's "The More The Berrier."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect from the formula to the color!  I cannot wait to wear this polish again and again!

China Glaze "Ugly Sweater Party"

Hey guys and happy Sunday!  Who else watched the SpaceX shuttle launch this weekend?  (The space nerd in me was thrilled!)  So without further ado, today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Ugly Sweater Party" a fun mini bottle that I got a few Christmas's back.  Here's how this chunky glitter looks in the bottle:

"Ugly Sweater Party" is a pink and red chunky glitter in a red base.  The formula of this polish was slightly thick and made applying it a little tough.  The glitter did spread fairly evenly across my nails. After two coats "Ugly Sweater Party" was not opaque but after a third coat it looked a lot better.  Here's how the glitter looks up close:

Overall I like China Glaze's "Ugly Sweater Party."  The chunky glitter is fun and funky - it's perfect for a holiday party.  I will probably keep this nail polish in my collection just because the glitter is so happy!

Ciaté "Rom Com Rouge"

Hello everyone!  <<INSERT STUFF HERE>>  Today's nail polish is Ciaté's "Rom Com Rouge."  Here's a look at this happy chunky glitter in the bottle:

"Rom Com Rouge" is a stunning bright red chunky glitter in a clear base.  The formula of this nail polish is fantastic and the glitter applied nice and evenly through my nails.  After two coats "Rom Com Rouge" was not opaque but did look lovely on my nails!  I decided to try this pretty over an opaque polish.

I decided to test out "Rom Com Rouge" over China Glaze's I Just Canterlot" which created a super fun extra glittery experience.  This combination was a lot of fun:

Overall I am in love with Ciaté's "Rom Com Rouge."  Absolutely everything about this nail polish is perfect and I cannot wait to try it out over other polishes!

China Glaze "I Just Canterlot"

Hey all and happy Sunday!  We may all be at home but that doesn't mean I can't brighten my day with some glitter!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is China Glaze's "I Just Canterlot" from their My Little Pony Collection.  Here's how this beauty looks in the bottle:

"I Just Canterlot" is a gorgeous purple and silver glitter in a clear base.  The formula of this nail polish was fanatic and the glitter applied evenly to my nails.  I used three coats to get full coverage - and it is so pretty!  I am in love with this nail polish look at the glitter up close:

Overall I am thrilled with China Glaze's "I Just Canterlot."  Absolutely everything about this nail polish is perfect!  I cannot wait to wear this color gain very soon.

China Glaze "Grinchworthy"

Hi all and happy Good Friday!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Grinchworthy" - the perfect Christmas green or for springtime and Easter.  Here's how "Grinchworthy" looks up close:

"Grinchworthy" is unsurprisingly a green glitter with some gold glitter mixed in.  The formula of this polish was watery, but the glitter did apply evenly.  After two coats "Grinchworthy" was not quite opaque so I added an additional coat.  This seemed to do the trick and my nails looked gorgeous!  Here's how the glitter looks up close:

Overall I am really pleased with China Glaze's "Grinchworthy."  This nail polish is pretty good - while the formula was watery the glitter spread evenly which was made it very easy to apply.  If I could change anything I would make this polish be opaque in less coats but that being said the glitter is so pretty I'll be wearing "Grinchworthy" for a longtime to come!
