China Glaze "Don't Get Elfed Up"

Hey everyone!  For the last few days of 2017 here's a little bit more Christmasy cheer!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Don't Get Elfed Up."  This polish is part of a set called Mini Mixers which looks like this:

"Don't Get Elfed Up" is a green glittery polish.  The formula of "Don't Get Elfed Up" was thick and not very easy to apply.  However I have a miniature bottle and I think that is what caused some of the problems.  After two coats, this polish was entirely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Don't Get Elfed Up" for four days before I noticed a few tip chips.

Overall I like China Glaze's "Don't Get Elfed Up."  The colors is lovely and looked nice on my nails but that being said my bottles thick formula was annoying to apply.  I am willing to wear this nail polish again but maybe I'll buy a new bottle with a less thick formula!

"Rebel" is a gorgeous bright turquoise blue with silver shimmer.  Formula wise, this polish was wonderful and applied easily on to my nails.  After two coats, "Rebel" was opaque and entirely streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for six full days before I noticed a couple of tip chips.

Overall I am really pleased by Zoya's "Rebel."  Everything about this nail polish is wonderful but I especially love the color!  I can't wait to wear this polish again and again!

Christmas 2017 Nail Art: Christmas Trees

Hello everyone and Happy Christmas!  I hope everyone has been enjoying the season and the time with friends and family.  To help celebrate the holiday I decided to rock some fun Christmas tree nails!  To create this look I selected these polishes to create the nail art:

Essie's "Off Tropic," China Glaze's "Ruby Pumps," Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Black Heart," Essie's "Aim To Misbehave," Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's "Rapid Red" and Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie."

To begin with I first used Essie's "Off Tropic" to create the green base of the tree.  Here's how my nails looked after two coats:

Next I added the tree lights using Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Black Heart" as the string, Essie's "Aim To Misbehave" and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's "Rapid Red" as lights.  For the final touches I added some ornaments using China Glaze's "Ruby Pumps" and Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie."  I think it turned out quite nicely and looked very Christmasy!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Gunmetal"

Hello guys! I can't believe how quickly December is flying by!  Christmas will be here in a couple of days and then it'll be 2018 before we know it!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Gunmetal."

"Gunmetal" is a very nice blue-grey polish with a hint of shimmer.  The formula of this polish was great and extremely easy to apply.  After two coats, "Gunmetal" was completely opaque with no visible streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five days before small bits began to flake off.

Overall I am really pleased with Sally Hansen Extreme Wear's "Gunmetal."  Everything about this nail polish is great and it is a perfect polish for Fall and Winter.  I love wearing this polish and will continue to do so until the bottle runs out.

OPI "Danke-Shiny Red"

Hi all and happy first day of Winter!  (Or as we say in the South "Winter.")  Today's nail polish is OPI's "Danke-Shiny Red."  This polish was part of a trio that ULTA sold as a Black Friday special a few years ago.  The set is called The Reds Have It and looks like this:

"Danke-Shiny Red" is a bright cherry red polish.  The formula of this polish was absolutely wonderful and extremely easy to apply.  After two coats, "Danke-Shiny Red" was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five full days before I noticed a few minor tip chips.

Overall I am really happy with OPI's "Danke-Shiny Red."  I will be wearing this nail polish a lot more often as it is bright and fun and it wears extremely well!

Love & Beauty "Mauve"

Hello everyone!  I can't believe Christmas is only SIX days away!  Today's nail polish is Love & Beauty's "Mauve" a pretty nail polish from Forever 21.

"Mauve" is a nice nude color with a hint of golden shimmer.  Formula wise, this nail polish was very nice and applied well.  After a single coat "Mauve" was entirely opaque, which is impressive for a $2 nail polish!  But as always I applied a second coat of polish for the photo.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Mauve" for four days before there were a few minor dings.

Overall I am very impressed by Love & Beauty's "Mauve."  This nail polish was a surprise winner that I will be sure to wear a lot more often.  And bonus it looks good with just about all my clothes!

Sephora by OPI "Looks Like Rain, Dear"

Hi everyone!  I can't believe there are only eight days left until Christmas!  Is everyone ready?  Today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Looks Like Rain, Dear."

"Looks Like Rain, Dear" is a pretty chunky gold glitter in a clear base.  Formula wise this polish was lovely and applied so well.  After two coats, this polish was surprisingly opaque.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Looks Like Rain, Dear" for four days before there were a few tip chips.  Since "Looks Like Rain, Dear" is a glitter I best used as a top coat I decided to test it out over a colored polish.

I decided to try out "Looks Like Rain, Dear" was Zoya's "Kristen."  This combination was fun and very Cinderella like.  I would definitely wear this combo again!

If you want to know more about Zoya's "Kristen" check out my posts from earlier this year.  I also used "Looks Like Rain, Dear" to create some adorable Striped Mani.

Overall I am really happy with Sephora by OPI's "Looks Like Rain, Dear."  This golden glitter polish is stunning and looks great on my nails!  I will be wearing this polish until the tiny bottle runs out.

Bundle Monster Plate XL156: Plaid Nails

Hi everyone!  If you follow along you know that this year I have been trying out stamping plates and really enjoying it.  But I had not tried reverse stamping yet.  So I decided to use Bundle Monster Color's Plate XL156 to create some simple reverse stamped plaid nails.

Above is the Bundle Monster plate I used, which was sold earlier this year with proceeded benefiting the Manchester bombing.  (I was more than pleased to pick up this plate and help support the victims of such a horrific tragedy.)  Next I needed to pick out some colors to create the look with.  I selected:

Sinful Colors "V. I. Peach", Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" and OPI's "Love Athletes In Cleats."

First I painted my nails with two coats of Sinful Colors "V. I. Peach" for a nice easy base.  next I used Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" to stamp with.  Before stamping in my fingers I used a dotting tool (purchased on Amazon) to add the red accent with OPI's "Love Athletes In Cleats."  Here how it looked before I stamped it on my nails:

Overall I learned that revers stamping is not nearly as easy as it looks and that I need a lot more practice.  That being said I think this look is super cute and with a little work I could make it look cleaner.  I am very excited to try out some more reverse stamping looks.  (And any helpful hints are welcome!)

If you want to know more about Sinful Colors "V. I. Peach" or OPI's "Love Athletes In Cleats" check out my posts from earlier this year!

Essie "Nama-Stay The Night"

Hi all and happy Friday!  (Hooray for the weekend!)  Today's nail polish is Essie's "Nama-Stay The Night" which came as part of the 2016 Resort Collection which looks like this:

"Nama-Stay The Night" is a super pretty bright turquoise.  Formula wise this nail polish was absolutely stunning and it applied with complete ease.  After only one coat, "Nama-Stay The Night" was entirely opaque and streak free.  However as always I applied a second coat for good measure.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this polish for six full days before I noticed a few tiny tip chips.

Overall I am really pleased by Essie's "Nama-Stay The Night."  Everything about this nail polish makes me happy!  I will be wearing this nail polish a lot more often!

Sinful Colors "Green Ocean"

Hello guys!  I hope everyone is enjoying their day and Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate!  Without further ado, today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Green Ocean."

"Green Ocean" is a green iridescent shimmer and flaky.  Formula wise this polish was lovely and applied well on to my nails.  As "Green Ocean" is more of a top coat I decided to test it out with some other polishes.

The first polish I decided to try out with "Green Ocean" is A England's "Lady of The Lake."  This combination was stunning and definitely one I will wear again!

The second polish I decided to try out with "Green Ocean" was China Glaze's "Seas and Greetings" a lovely purple polish.  This combination was not as pretty as I had hoped it would be.

The third nail polish I tested out with "Green Ocean" was Nicole by OPI's "I Shop Mintage."  This combination was an attempt to save "I Shop Mintage" and it was a disappointment.  You could barely see the shimmer of "Green Ocean."

If you want to know more about A England's "Lady Of The Lake" China Glaze's "Seas And Greetings" or Nicole by OPI's "I Shop Mintage" check out my posts from earlier this year.

Overall I really like Sinful Colors "Green Ocean" and it was well worth the $1.99 USD it cost.  For a "bargain" brand polish Sinful Colors produced a stunning flaky polish!  I can hardly wait to wear this polish again soon!
