Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure "Branch Out"

Hi everyone!  I can't believe March is almost over and I hope everyone is enjoying Spring!  It is nice to see the weather warm up and the sun out!  With all the trees in full bloom I decided to bring out a tree-themed polish, and that is Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure's "Branch Out."

"Branch Out" is a chocolate brown nail polish with the faintest hint of shimmer.  Formula wise this polish was good, but the wise brush that comes with the bottle is very difficult to maneuver.  After two coats of polish, "Branch Out" was completely opaque and had no streak marks.  In terms of chipping, "Branch Out" lasted for about three days before there were some minor tip chips.

Overall I like Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure's "Branch Out."  Most everything about this nail polish is nice, the only thing I didn't like is the brush that comes with the polish.  The brush is too wide and makes it difficult to apply on my narrow nails.  However the color is nice so I will be wearing this nail polish again!

Nicole by OPI "Rainbow In The S-Kylie"

Hi guys!  Well Monday has rolled around again, but I decided to brighten it up with a fun chunky glitter!  So today's nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie" which is part of the Kardashian Kollection from a few years back.

"Rainbow In The S-Kylie" is a gorgeous multi-sized glitter nail polish in a clear base.  The glitter comes in red, green, blue, purple, silver, yellow, and magenta.  Formula wise this polish was easy to apply and the glitter spreads out evenly on my nails.  Since this nail polish has a clear base I decided to try it out over a colored nail polish,  Here's how it turned out:

The colored nail polish I picked out is OPI's "That's Hula-rious."  The combination turned out quite nicely because the pastel color really made the glitter pop!  I will definitely wear this combination again!

If you want to know more about OPI's "That's Hula-rious" check out my post from earlier this year here.

Overall I am very pleased with Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie."  Everything about this nail polish is great and I definitely plan on trying it out over other colored nail polishes!

China Glaze "At Vase Value"

Hi all!  I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday and enjoying their weekend.  As April ticks closer so does Spring, so I decided to get a head start on Spring and pull out a bright and happy polish!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is China Glaze's "At Vase Value."

"At Vase Value" is a lovely pastel aquamarine colored polish.  The formula of "At Vase Value" is a bit thick and it made it difficult to apply.  After the first coat of polish, "At Vase Value" was very streaky and looked bad on my nail.  However after the second coat I was happily surprised how nice "At Vase Value" looked on my nails!  But there were still some visible streak marks.  As for chipping I was able to wear "At Vase Value" for about three days before there were lots of tip chips.

Overall I have mixed feelings about China Glaze's "At Vase Value."  The color is gorgeous but the thick formula and how difficult it was to apply makes me sad.  However I am willing to try this nail polish again after I add a little bit of thinner, and maybe then I'll have better luck with it.

Thanks for reading my blog!  :)

Finger Paints "Vintage Vincent"

Hi guys!  I can't believe we are almost a quarter of the way through this year!  2016 is just flying by! Today's nail polish is Finger Paints' "Vintage Vincent."  Finger Paints nail polish is sold at Sally Beauty stores and retails for about $6 (US) a bottle.

"Vintage Vincent" is a gorgeous turquoise polish with a hint of silver shimmer.  Formula wise this polish was fantastic and it was very easy to apply.  After two coats of polish, "Vintage Vincent" was completely opaque and streak free.  In fact it was so opaque that you could almost get away with only applying one coat of polish!  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Vintage Vincent" for about six days before there were any chips!

Overall I am very pleased with this polish!  Everything about Finger Paints' "Vintage Vincent" is wonderful and I will be wearing this polish again and again!

Frenchi "131"

Hi guys!  Today I have a special nail polish that my parents got for me last Autumn when they went to Russia!  The nail polish is Frenchi's "131."  I don't know much about this brand of polish but it cost my parents 160Py6 (Russian Rubles) which is right around $2 (US).

"131" is a gorgeous hot pink nail polish with a blue base that makes it appear cooler.  Formula wise this polish is perfect and it was easy to apply.  After two coats of polish, "131" was completely opaque and there were no streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "131" for about five full days before there were some small tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Frenchi's "131."  Everything about this nail polish was great and it is just an added bonus that my parents brought it from Russia for me!  I love pink nail polish and I will definitely be wearing this polish again soon!

OPI "Toucan Do It If You Try"

Hi guys!  Happy first day of Spring (even though in North Carolina we are getting a rainy and dreary day!)  With Spring's arrival brings all sorts of bright colors!  So today's nail polish is OPI's "Toucan Do It If You Try" which is a very bright colored polish!

"Toucan Do It If You Try" is a bright coral colored nail polish, that actually turned out to be a neon when I put it on my nails!  Formula wise this polish was good and it was easy enough to apply.  After two coats of polish, "Toucan Do It If You Try" was completely opaque but there were one or two small streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Toucan Do It If You Try" for about four days before there were noticeable chips.

Overall I like OPI's "Toucan Do It If You Try."  Everything about this nail polish is great from the color to the formula to how long I was able to wear this polish before there were chips!  I will definitely be wearing "Toucan Do It If You Try" again because it is such a fantastic polish!

Sinful Colors "Lavender"

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone enjoyed St. Patrick's Day and all the food that was dyed green! Today's nail polish is Sinful Colors' "Lavender."  (My apologies for two Sinful Colors polishes in a row!)

"Lavender" is not shockingly a very pretty light purple polish!  The formula of "Lavender" is great and it was very easy to apply.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Lavender" for about three days before there were any noticeable chips.

Overall I am quite pleased with Sinful Colors' "Lavender."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I will definitely be wearing this nail polish again and again!

Sinful Colors "Shamrockin' "

Hi everyone and Happy almost St. Patrick's Day!  Since tomorrow is a holiday I thought I would try out a special polish that I have been saving especially for St. Patrick's Day!  So without any further ado today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Shamrockin'."

"Shamrockin' " is a green and white glitter polish in a clear base.  Formula wise "Sharmrockin' " was easy enough to apply, with the exception of trying to fish out the white flowers.  (Which took quite a bit of patience.)  As for chipping, I can't say how long "Shamrockin' " would last because I only wore it for St. Patrick's Day and then promptly took it off.  Because this polish is in a clear base it isn't meant to be opaque, so I decided to try it out over another polish, and here's how it turned out:

I decided to try out over a gold polish, since the lore of St. Patrick's Day is the gold at the end of the rainbow.  The gold nail polish I used is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Golden-I."  The combination turned out quite nicely and was very festive!

If you want to know more about Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's Golden-I" check out my post from earlier this month here.

Overall I am very happy with Sinful Colors "Shamrockin'."  Aside from the slight difficulty of applying the white flowers this nail polish is nice,  I will definitely wear this nail polish again, but probably only for St. Patrick's Day.

Thanks for reading my blog and enjoy your St. Patrick's Day!

butter LONDON "Come To Bed Red"

Hi guys and happy Pi Day!  Today's nail polish is butter LONDON's "Come To Bed Red" which I got as part of a duo set that I got on Black Friday 2014.  The duo is called The Steampunk Ball Collection and it looks like this:

"Come To Bed Red" is a bright red nail polish and the color is fantastic!  Formula wise this nail polish is wonderful and it was easy to apply.  I applied two coats of "Come To Bed Red" but it actually could be worn as a one-coater!  "Come To Bed Red" was completely opaque and streak free, which is always great!  As for chipping I was able to wear "Come To Bed Red" for five full days before there were some minor tip chips.

Overall I am really pleased with butter LONDON's "Come To Bed Red."  Absolutely everything about this nail polish is perfect and I will absolutely be wearing it again and again!

The other polish in this set is butter LONDON's "West End Wonderland" which I wore last year.  Check it out here.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Golden-I"

Hi all and happy Saturday!  This week the sun has been constantly shining so I figured a golden polish could only make it better!  So without any further ado, today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Golden-I"

"Golden-I" is a fantastic shimmer gold nail polish.  Formula wise this polish was very easy to apply and it looked great on my nails!  After two coats, "Golden-I" was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping I was able to wear "Golden-I" for about four days before there were some small tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Golden-I."  Everything about this polish is fantastic and I will definitely be wearing it again soon!

China Glaze "Gone Glamping"

Hi all!  The weather this week has been amazing in North Carolina that I have been spending all my available time sitting on my front porch!  So to celebrate Spring's arrival I dug through my collection and found a nature inspired polish!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Gone Glamping."

"Gone Glamping" is a holographic nail polish that blue and green in the bottle but once on the nail it looked sad and grey.  It was a bit of a disappointment because it is gorgeous in the bottle!  Formula wise "Gone Glamping" is great and it was very easy to apply.  After two coats of polish, "Gone Glamping" was completely opaque but there were a few streak marks.  As for chipping I only wore this nail polish for about two days, not because it chipped but because I didn't care for the color on my nails.  However I feel confident in saying "Gone Glamping" would have a while longer before chipping.

Overall I have mixed feelings about China Glaze's "Gone Glamping."  The formula is fantastic and it was very easy to apply, but the color was so sad in comparison to how gorgeous it looked in the bottle.  I am will try "Gone Glamping" again and maybe I'll like it more next time!

OPI "That's Hula-rious"

Hi everyone!  In January I had the chance to spend a few days in Florida and I wanted to pull out a fun polish to enjoy the sunshine with!  So I picked out today's nail polish, OPI's "That's Hula-rious" for that task, and I have been saving it to share with y'all when Spring rolled around!

"That's Hula-rious" is a gorgeous pastel mint green polish that looks fantastic on my nail!  Formula wise this polish was very easy to apply.  After two coats of polish, "That's Hula-rious" was completely opaque, but there were a few visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "That's Hula-rious" for six full days before the nail polish started to crack.

Overall I am very happy with OPI's "That's Hula-rious."  Everything about this nail polish is wonderful and I will definitely be wearing it again and again!

Dupes: Chunky Rainbow Glitters

Hi guys!  I realized that I hadn't done a comparison/dupe post in a while and thought it was high time to fix that!  Today the comparison is of Ciaté's "Comic Strip," Hard Candy's "Pop-arazzi," and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Carnival."

As you can see the polishes look pretty identical in the bottle as they all feature hexagonal glitter in blue, yellow, orange, peach, white and black glitter in a clear base.  The biggest difference prior to opening the bottles is the price.  The Ciaté polish is the most expensive at nearly $10 (USD) a bottle while the Hard Candy and Sally Hansen polishes cost closer to $3-$5 (USD) a bottle.

After putting the polishes on my nail they really are just about identical and the most noticeable difference is that each polish has a different color ratio in its glitter.  Surprisingly the easiest one to apply was Hard Candy's "Pop-arazzi" while Ciaté's "Comic Strip" and Sally Hansen's "Carnival" had watery formula's that made it difficult to get the glitter on to my nails.

Overall it's clearly visible that Ciaté's "Comic Strip," Hard Candy's "Pop-arazzi," and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Carnival" are nearly identical and unless you are a crazy nail polish collector (like me) then you don't need all three of these polishes.  Out of the three I think the best one is Hard Candy's "Pop-arazzi" because it was easy to apply and is relatively inexpensive.  The worst one of the three is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Carnival" because the formula was so watery that it was impossible to get glitter on the nail but the clear base made a big goopy spot on the nail.  (For comparisons sake I applied one coat of each polish to see how the glitter distributed.)

If you want to know more about Hard Candy's "Pop-arazzi" check out my post from earlier this year here.

Zoya "Tiana"

Hi everyone and happy Friday!  (Yay the weekend!)  Today's nail polish is Zoya's "Tiana," which I'm guessing is named after the character of the same name from The Princess and the Frog since the polish is green!

"Tiana" is a gorgeous mint green colored polish that is a very fresh Spring color!  Formula wise this nail polish is slightly watery, which meant it went on in weird uneven coats.  After two coats of polish, "Tiana" was very streaky and not at all opaque.  As for chipping, I'm not sure how long "Tiana" would last because it looked awful on my nails and the uneven coats refused to dry and smudged terribly.

Overall I am very disappointed by Zoya's "Tiana."  The color is so fantastic that I wanted it to be a great nail polish, unfortunately that didn't work out.  After the color it as downhill from there with a watery formula, uneven coats of polish and its refusal to dry.  I probably won' t wear "Tiana" again but I will try other Zoya polishes.

Essie "Pink Happy"

Hi everyone and happy March!  This year just seems to be flying by, but that means we are getting closer and closer to Spring!  (Hooray warmer weather!)  So today I decided to pull out a fun hot pink color to celebrate Spring, and that polish is Essie's "Pink Happy."  "Pink Happy" is part of Essie's Breast Cancer Awareness Collection from 2014, and came as part of this adorable mini set:

"Pink Happy" is a gorgeous hot pink creme.  Formula wise this nail polish was great and very easy to apply.  After two coats of polish "Pink Happy" was completely opaque and streak free!  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Pink Happy" for about five full days before there were some very small tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Essie's "Pink Happy."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I will definitely be wearing it again soon!  Also I love how Essie (and many other brands) do Breast Cancer Awareness nail polishes, it raises awareness and gives back at the same time!
