Wet N' Wild "Matte Topcoat"

Hi all!  I can't believe that July is almost over!  This year is literally just flying by!  Today's nail polish is actually a top coat!  (Yay!)  It's actually a matte topcoat by Wet N' Wild which I decided to test out over several other polishes!

But before we get to how the top coat does over other nail polish, let's talk about Wet N' Wild's matte top coat itself.  This matte top coat is relatively inexpensive and I wasn't sure how well it would work, but it surprised me and it turned all three of the polishes bellow into a gorgeous matte finish! However when you first apply the matte coat it look shiny for around a minute before it begins to dry matte.

The first polish I decided to test out is Essie's "Pret-A-Surfer" a fun blue nail polish.  This polish looked nice as a matte.  It had an almost velvet look, which I liked a lot.  This is a combination I would be willing to wear again!

If you want to know more about Essie's "Pret-A-Surfer" be sure to check out my post from earlier this year!

The second polish I decided to try out is China Glaze's "Treble Maker" which is a gorgeous kelly green nail polish.  "Treble Maker" reminded me of Nickelodeon slime and was great for my 90's childhood heart!

If you want to know more about China Glaze's "Treble Maker" see my post from earlier this week!

The third polish I decided to try with this matte topcoat is Sephora by OPI's "Berry Tale Romance" which is a gorgeous berry/magenta colored polish.  I love how this berry/magenta color looked as a matte, and I can't wait to wear this during Autumn and Winter this year!

If you want to learn more about Sephora by OPI's "Berry Tale Romance" check out my post from earlier this month.

Overall I am very pleased with Wet N' Wild's matte top coat!  It worked really well and I love that it was inexpensive!  (I got mine 4/$1 at a special sale!)

China Glaze "Treble Maker"

Hi guys!  We've almost made it to Friday!  (And I'm very excited for the weekend after a long week!) Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Treble Maker" which was part of China Glaze's Summer 2015 Electric Nights collection.

"Treble Maker" is a gorgeous neon, kelly green nail polish.  The formula of "Treble Maker" was odd -it was slightly watery but at the same time it went on goopy.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and the only small streak mark was caused by my own clumsiness.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Treble Maker" for three days before it started to chip.

Overall I mostly like China Glaze's "Treble Maker."  The color is gorgeous but the odd formula and how quickly it chipped is a bit of a letdown.  However I will probably give "Treble Maker" a second chance and see how it goes.

Ciaté "Espadrilles"

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!  (We survived Monday, hooray!)  Today's nail polish is Ciaté "Espadrilles" which is  part of Ciaté's Advent Calendar from 2014. Ciaté puts out their Advent Calendar annually around Thanksgiving (in November if you aren't from the United States).  The set looks like this:

"Espadrilles" is a lovely ruby red with a golden shimmer.  Formula wise "Espadrilles" was nice and very easy to apply.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and streak free!  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Espadrilles" for six days before my nails grew out and left a gap between my nail beds and the polish.

Overall I am very happy with Ciaté "Espadrilles."  Everything about this nail polish is lovely from the color to the formula to how long I was able to wear this nail polish.  You'll definitely see me wearing this nail polish again soon!

OPI "Cosmo With A Twist"

Hi all!  I hope everyone has had a nice weekend!  I enjoyed a relaxing weekend at home with my family and I am not looking forward to the weekend being over!  So for today I'll just stick with OPI's "Cosmo With A Twist" to cool off with!

"Cosmo With A Twist" is a gorgeous navy blue nail polish with a purple shimmer.  It is dark and very pretty nail polish!  Formula wise this polish is fantastic and it was very easy to apply.  With its dark color "Cosmo With A Twist" was completely opaque after only one coat of polish.  However for the picture I used two coats so you could really see the purple shimmer.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five full days before there were a few minor tip chips.

Overall, I am very pleased with OPI's "Cosmo With A Twist."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I will be wearing it a lot more often!

Urban Outfitters "Gotta Have It"

Hi everyone and happy Friday!  It's the weekend again and I am looking forward to relaxing at the pool and enjoying the sunshine!  Since it is Summer I decided to pull out another bright neon polish! So without further ado, today's nail polish is Urban Outfitter's "Gotta Have It."  Urban Outfitters is an expensive clothing store where I usually just window shop, however their nail polish is pretty affordable costing around $5 (USD) a bottle.

"Gotta Have It" is an extremely bright, neon, lime green nail polish.  Formula wise this polish was watery, but with a little patience it was still fairly easy to apply.  After two coats "Gotta Have It" was completely opaque and only had a few minor streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this polish for about four days before there were some small tip chips.

Overall I am pleased with Urban Outfitter's "Gotta Have It."  My only complaint about this nail polish is that it was slightly watery, but everything else was so great that I will definitely wear "Gotta Have It" again soon!

Essie "Stones N' Roses"

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone is having a great week so far!  It's Wednesday, so to quote Mean Girls "on Wednesday's we wear pink!"  So without further ado, today's pink nail polish is Essie's "Stones N' Roses."

"Stones N' Roses" is a gorgeous light coral pink polish.  Formula wise, this nail polish is a bit watery and it took a little patience to apply.  After two coats, "Stones N' Roses" was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for about three days before there were some tip chips.

Overall I have mixed feelings about "Stones N' Roses."  I love the color but the watery formula was a bit tiresome and it would have been nice to wear "Stones N' Roses" for more than three days.  However despite all of this I am willing to give this nail polish another go!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Babe Blue"

Ho guys!  Even though it is Monday and the work week has started again, today's nail polish dreams of the perfect Summertime Saturday.  (So we can all pretend we aren't at our desks right now!)  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Babe Blue."

"Babe Blue" is a gorgeous Carolina blue (known to the rest of the world outside of North Carolina as sky blue).  The color is gorgeous and looks perfect with a sunkissed tan.  Formula wise this nail polish was great and very easy to apply.  After two coats "Babe Blue" was almost opaque but there were a few noticeable streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Babe Blue" for four full days before there were some minor tip chips.

Overall I am pleased with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Babe Blue."  I love the color of this nail polish and it looked great on my nails!  I definitely plan on wearing "Babe Blue" again soon!

Sephora by OPI "Berry Tale Romance"

Hi all!  Today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "Berry Tale Romance." Sephora by OPI is a retired brand that used to be sold at Sephora stores.  "Berry Tale Romance" was purchased in a mini set called "Jasmine" which is based on Disney's Aladdin.  The set looks like this with "Berry Tale Romance"on the far left:

"Berry Tale Romance" is a lovely berry-magenta colored nail polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was fantastic and very easy to apply!  After two coats of polish, "Berry Tale Romance" was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for a full six days before there were visible tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Sephora by OPI's "Berry Tale Romance."  Everything about this nail polish is nice and I particularly love the color, which will be great for Autumn.

*SIDE NOTE: Sephora by OPI nail polish is now a retired brand and not available for purchase at Sephora stores.

Pure Ice "French Kiss"

Hi everyone!  We've nearly made it to Friday!  I am looking forward to a very busy weekend filled with a trip to the Appalachian Mountains for a special 1st birthday party and then back home for one of my best friend's baby shower!  But for today it's just a regular work day and today's nail polish is Pure Ice's "French Kiss,"  Pure Ice is sold at Wal-Mart and is very inexpensive (which is always nice!)

"French Kiss" is a beautiful royal blue nail polish that is very calming and reminds me of water.  Formula wise this polish was surprisingly great and very easy to apply.  After two coats, "French Kiss" was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks!  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "French Kiss" for four full days before there were a few tip chips, which is awesome.

Overall I am very pleased with Pure Ice's "French Kiss."  Everything about this nail polish was great and I love that it is inexpensive and affordable!  I will definitely be wearing this nail polish again soon!

Orly "Key Lime Twist"

Hi all!  With Summer in full swing I just couldn't resist pulling out the brightest neon I could find!  I don't always wear neons but they are so pretty and fun that sometimes I just have to wear on!  So today's nail polish is Orly's "Key Lime Twist."  (Side note Key Lime Pie is one of my favorite desserts!)

"Key Lime Twist" is a crazy awesome neon yellow/green nail polish.  It reminds me of a highlighter!  Formula wise this nail polish was very watery and it was not the easiest to apply.  After two coats of polish, "Key Lime Twist" was completely opaque, but there were some visible streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was only able to wear "Key Lime Twist" for three days before it started to chip off in decent sized chunks.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Orly's "Key Lime Twist."  The color is fun and perfect for Summer, but the watery formula and how easily it chipped are definitely a downer.  I will probably give this nail polish another go because I do like the color and name!

Formula X for Sephora "Tide"

Hi guys!  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!  It's always hard to get up on Monday!  But to help me pretend that it's vacation and not work I picked out a fun beach nail polish.  So without further ado today's nail polish is Formula X for Sephora's "Tide."

"Tide" is a gorgeous deep blurple (a blue and purple colored polish) with a lot of silver glitter.  This nail polish reminds me of the night sky and I could not love it more!  Formula wise "Tide" was very easy to apply and was completely opaque and streak free after two coats.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for about four full days before there were a few minor chips

As it turns out "Tide" dries with a matte finish (and it looks amazing that way!)  But I wanted to apply a shiny top coat and see what "Tide" looked like shiny.  Here's how it turned out

Overall I am very pleased with Formula X for Sephora's "Tide."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic!  I love how much "Tide" reminded me of the night sky and all the Summertime fun that I have been enjoying.  I will be wearing this nail polish again soon!

Hi guys and happy Sunday!  The weekend got away from me because I went on a nice weekend trip to my Mom's hometown.  Since I went to a baby shower while out of town this weeken I picked out a nice pink nail polish for today.  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Pinch of Punch."

"Pinch of Punch" is a lovely dusty pink polish with a hint of purple.  It's such a unique color and I think it looks good with my sunkissed skin.  Formula wise "Pinch of Punch" is good and it was easy to apply.  After two coats the nail polish was completely opaque ad had no streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Pinch of Punch" for about five days before there were some noticeable tip chips.

'Overall I am pleased with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Pinch of Punch."  Everything about this nail polish is nice and i will be wearing this polish a lot more this Summer!

OPI "My Dogsled Is A Hybrid"

Hi guys!  I hope everyone enjoyed the long holiday weekend!  It was nice to have several days off to spend wit my family and friends!  Today's nail polish is OPI's "My Dogsled Is A Hybrid" which is part of OPI's Fal 2014 Nordic Collection.

"My Dogsled Is A Hybrid" is a gorgeous aquamarine colored nail polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was the tiniest bit watery, but as long as you wipe off the excess polish from the brush it goes on easily.  After two coats, "My Dogsed Is A Hybrid" was completely opaque and there were no visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for six days (almost a full week!) before there were some tip chips!

Overall I am very impressed with OPI's "My Dogsled Is A Hybrid."  I love everything about this nail polish, particularly the color because it is my favorite.  I definitely plan on wearing "My Dogsled Is A Hybrid" all the time!

4th Of July 2016 Nail Art!

Hi all and Happy 4th of July!  (Well at least if you are in the United States.)  Today I've decided to do a fun and easy nail art post to celebrate America's independence.  I went with a simply design that only required two polishes and some loose glitter.  Here are the supplies:

Zoya's "Wednesday," gold glitter, and China Glaze's "Ruby Slippers."

To do this nail art I started off by painting my nails with two coats of Zoya's "Wednesday."  Once this polish was dry I used China Glaze's "Ruby Pumps" and placed a few drops on my nail and used a dotting tool to swirl the shimmery red polish down the middle of my nail.  (I found it easier to do one nail at a time.)  The last thing I did was place a few piece of gold glitter down the center of the red swirls followed by a quick drying top coat to seal in the design.

Overall I like how my nails turned out.  The design was simple and fun and easy to do.  The swirly polish is great and can be used in any combination, not just for a holiday.  I hope everyone enjoys their 4th Of July and stays safe!

If you want to know more about Zoya "Wednesday" then be sure to check out my post from earlier this year!  Or if you want to know more about China Glaze's "Ruby Pumps" hop over and look at the post from yesterday!

Nicole by OPI "Kendall On The Katwalk"

Hi everyone!  This is today's second blog post in honor or the long holiday weekend here in the United States!  This nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "Kendall On The Katwalk" which is one of the Kardashian nail polishes.

"Kendall On The Katwalk" is a gorgeous royal blue glitter polish.  I absolutely adore the color and how it looks on my nails!  Formula wise this nail polish was extremely easy to apply and was completely opaque and streak free after two coats!  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Kendall On The Katwalk" for about five full days before there were some minor tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Nicole by OPI's "Kendall On The Katwalk."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic from the color to the application!  And despite its dark color it didn't stain my nails at all!  I will be wearing this nail polish a lot more often!

China Glaze "Ruby Pumps"

Hi everyone and happy July!  (We are halfway through 2016, which seems impossible.)  In the United States July means one thing, fireworks and a BBQ to celebrate our separation from England -also known as 4th of July or Independence Day. So without further ado, today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Ruby Pumps."

"Ruby Pumps" is a very well known nail polish from China Glaze that has a reputation for being fantastically pretty!  Formula wise, "Ruby Pumps" was wonderful and it was very easy to apply.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and streak free.  In fact "Ruby Pumps" was almost a one-coater, but it looks even pretty after two coats.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Ruby Pumps" for six full days before there were a few minor tip chips.

Overall China Glaze's "Ruby Pumps" lived up to its hype and reputation.  Everything about this nail polish is great and I will definitely be wearing this polish again and again.  Be sure to look for a second blog post later today and a nail art for 4th of July tomorrow!

Sally Hansen Triple Shine "Dive In"

Hi guys!  SURPRISE!  For the holiday weekend (and to help me catch back up from my vacation the other week) I decided to post two blogs today!  This morning I posted about Claire's "Queen Bee" and this evening's nail polish is Sally Hansen Triple Shine's "Dive In."

"Dive In" is a gorgeous aquamarine colored polish.  Formula wise this polish was slightly watery but still fairly easy to apply.  After two coats, "Dive In" was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Dive In" for four full days before there were a few tip chips.

Overall I am very happy with Sally Hansen Triple Shine's "Dive In."  Everything about this nail polish is great, especially the color.  I definitely plan on wearing this nail polish a lot this Summer!  Check back tomorrow for two more posts and Monday for an awesome 4th of July nail art!

Claire's "Queen Bee"

Hi all!  I can't believe that it is July!  It seems like it was January yesterday!  But now that Summer is in full swing I couldn't resist pulling out a gorgeous lavender colored polish from Claire's, the store that sells a lot of costume type jewelry.  So without further ado today's nail polish is Claire's "Queen Bee."

"Queen Bee" is a cremé, lavender colored nail polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was fair, but it was not the easiest to apply.  The first swipe on each nail went smoothly but then the following swipes seemed to stick an cause some very ugly streak marks.  After two coats, "Queen Bee" was completely opaque, but it did have a few noticeable streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Queen Bee" for about three days before there were some tip chips.

Overall I am a bit disappointed with Claire's "Queen Bee."  Just about everything with this nail polish was a let down, except for its color.  I probably won't be wearing this nail polish again any time soon.
