Sinful Colors "Spaced Out"

Hey everyone and welcome to the weekend!  I started out my morning by walking around the local farmer's market with a friend.  It was a lovely break from the stress of life.  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Spaced Out."  Here's how this lovely shimmer looks in the bottle:

"Spaced Out" is a really lovely pastel purple with purple iridescent shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish was good, leaning just the tiniest bit towards the watery side - but not far enough to ruin the application.  After two coats, "Spaced Out" was not completely opaque so I added an additional coat. The third coat made a huge difference and meant the polish was streak free and fully opaque.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Spaced Out" for five days before there were some chips.  Look at the iridescence up close:

Overall I am in love with Sinful Colors "Spaced Out."  Everything about this nail polish makes me super happy and I cannot wait to wear it again and again!

Illyrian "Morpheus"

Hey all and happy happy Friday!  Today's nail polish is Illyrian's "Morpheus" which I snagged from Polish Pick-Up earlier this year.  Illyrian is a gorgeous indie brand that I have been dying to try so I jumped at the chance!  Here's how "Morpheus" looks in the bottle:

"Morpheus" is a color changing flakie in a clear base.  (It is literally more gorgeous in real life than any of the photos!)  The formula for this nail polish is perfect and it applied with ease.  Since this polish has a clear base I couldn't resist testing it out with some colors.

The first polish I tried out with "Morpheus" was Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's "Melon."  This combo looked gorgeous and very princess-like.  Here's how it turned out:

The second nail polish I tried out with "Morpheus" was OPI's "How Great Is Your Dane?"  Surprisingly I liked this combination the best as it make the flakies turn purple!  Look how pretty:

Can you even with this flakie?!?  It is an absolute stunner and I have never had such a gorgeous polish in my collection.  Look at this flakie up close:

If you want to know more about Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's "Melon" or OPI's "How Great Is Your Dane?" check out some of my previous posts!

Ciaté "Knee Highs"

Hi guys and happy Monday!  Today's nail polish is Ciaté's "Knee Highs" which was part of one of their annual Advent Calendars.  Here's how it looks in the bottle:

"Knee Highs" is a lovely dark navy blue creme.  The formula of this nail polish was great and it applied with ease.  After one coat "Knee Highs" was almost opaque but I added a second coat to even it out a bit.  "Knee Highs" was lovely and had no visible streak marks and it is probably going to be my go to for this Autumn and Winter.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Knee Highs" for four days before I noticed a couple of tip chips.  Look how pretty it is up close:

Overall I am really pleased with Ciaté "Knee Highs" as it looked great on my nails and the formula was wonderful!  I cannot wait to wear this nail polish again soon!

Maniology Essential Cuticle and Nail Oil "Sweet Orange"

Hello all and happy Sunday!  Sorry to have been MIA lately but life has gotten a bit stressful and I needed to take short break to re-coop.  But I am back now and today instead of a nail polish - it is a nail care item!  You all know I love my cuticles and I couldn't resist trying out Maniology's Essential Cuticle and Nail Oil in the scent "Sweet Orange."  This came as part of their Mani x Me sets and the packaging is adorable:

Once outside of the adorable cardboard package it is a full sized bottle of oil - and the smell is absolutely fantastic!  I grew up in Florida and this smells just like the orange groves I trolled through as a kid!  (Major flashback vibes for me!). The bottle looks just like nail polish with the same type of brush:

The brush makes is super easy to apply, which is great!  I typically apply cuticle oil right before I go to bed at night and this is convenient to set on my nightstand and use without making any messes!  (Also the cute oil is very relaxing to fall asleep with!)  I applied "Sweet Orange" every night for a week and my nails have never been happier.  Here's how it looks as it soaks into my nails:

Overall Maniology has hit the sweet spot with their Essential Cuticle and Nail Oil in "Sweet Orange."  I've been using it regularly, as it works and has the perfect scent for Summer, and the bottle is still very full.  I will definitely be purchasing more of these!

Zoya Saint"

Hello all and happy Monday!  I decided to brighten up the day with a bright and fun color!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Zoya's "Saint" which always seems to remind me of Kim and Kanye's son.  Here's how pretty it is in the bottle:

"Saint" is a stunning royal blue with purple iridescent shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish was really nice ant it applied easily.  After two coats, "Saint" was not fully opaque - is I decided to add a third coat.  After the third coat the nail polish looked a lot better and there weren't any streak marks.  In terms of chipping I was able to wear "Saint" for four days before I noticed a few minor tip chips.  Look at this beauty:

Overall I am pleased with Zoya's "Saint."  I adore this color and it looks really good with my slightly tanned Summer skin!  This polish will be sticking around in my collection for a long time to come!

Live Love Polish "Last Call Confetti"

Hello guys and happy Sunday!  The sun has been hiding all weekend so here's some golden glitter to brighten the day.  Today's nail polish is Live Love Polish's "Last Call Confetti."  Here's how this glittery polish of goodness looks in the bottle:

"Last call Confetti" is a gold chunky glitter in a clear base.  A lot of the glitter has a holo color shift to it, which is stunning.  The formula of "Last Call Confetti" was good and applied without too much work.  Since this nail polish is meant to be worn on top of opaque colors I couldn't wait to test it out!

The first nail polish I tried "Last Call Confetti" with was  Color Club's"Bewitched."  This combination was stunning and I stared at my nails endlessly.  Here's how pretty it turned out:

The second nail polish I tried "Last Call Confetti" over was Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Breezy Blue."  This combo reminded me of Cinderella, which is my favorite Disney princess.  Here's how the look turned out:

The third nail polish I tried with "Last Call Confetti" was China Glaze's "Peonies & Park Ave."  This combination was bright and very happy!

I am not always a fan of chunky glitter but "Last Call Confetti" is such a stunner I cannot help but fall in love with it!  I mean look how gorgeous it is up close:

If you want to know more about Color Club's "Bewitched" or Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Breezy Blue" check out some of my previous posts.

Color Club "Til The Record Stops"

Hello everyone and happy Saturday!  It is going to rain all weekend and I plan on relaxing with a book for most of the day.  Today's nail polish is Color Club's Til The Record Stops" which I picked up a my local Wal-Mart.  Here's how this pretty color looks in the bottle:

"Til The Record Stops" is a lovely pastel green creme.  The formula of this polish was watery but if I wiped the brush on the rim of the bottle it applied well t my nail - otherwise it flooded them.  After two coats, "Til The Record Stops" was streaky and not opaque so I applied a third coat.  The third coat of polish made it look better but it still wasn't fully opaque.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Til The Record Stops" for three days before I noticed some chips.  Look at this beauty up close:

Overall I am a bit disappointed by Color Club's "Til The Record Stops."  I adore this color but I wish that it was more opaque and less streaky.  Perhaps next time I will try four thinner coats to see if that works better.

Make sure you never miss out by following the blog on Instagram and Twitter @PerfPolished12.

If you want to try this color it's available in gel on Amazon (affiliate link)

National Donut Day Nail Art

Hello everyone and happy Fri-YAY!  Today is National Donut Day - and as I love donuts I couldn't resist celebrating with some themed freehand nail art!  First I picked out the nail polishes:

Disney for Target's "White," OPI's "You're So Vain-illa," OPI's "Suzi Loves Cowboys," OPI"s "Lima Tell You About This Color!," China Glaze's "Splish Splash," China Glaze's "Lime After Lime" and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Daisy Dukes."

Next I applied two coats of Disney for Target's "White" as the base coat.  My nails looked like this - all ready for some gorgeous looking nail art:

The next step was to use OPI's "Your So Vain-illa" as the base of the donuts.  I used a brush tool from Maniology to create the design:

Then it was time to add strawberry and chocolate frosting to the donuts.  I used OPI's "Suzi Loves Cowboys" and OPI's "Lima Tell You About this Color!" for the frosting.  Then my nails looked like this:

Next up was to add the sprinkles using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Daisy Dukes," Chins Glaze's "Lime After Lime" and China Glaze's "Splash Splash."  The sprinkles added the final touch.  Here's how the donuts looked up close:

Essie "Night Owl"

Hey guys and happy almost Friday!  (Seriously this has been a looong week!)  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Essie's "Night Owl" which is a real stunner!  Look at its gorgeousness:

"Night Owl" is a beautiful turquoise blue with gold flakies mixed in.  The formula of this nail polish is fantastic and it applied wonderfully to my nails!  This is also the first time I have seen a wider brush in an Essie nail polish.  After two coats, "Night Owl" was completely opaque and streak free and in terms of chipping I was able to wear this polish for five days before I had a couple tip chips.  Look at the golden flakies:

Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub

Hello all and happy Wednesday!  Today instead of nail polish I have some nail care in the form of Lush's Salted Coconut Hand Scrub.  I am always looking for items to help keep my hands silky smooth so I was thrilled to find this lovely on my last trip to Lush.  Here's what the package looks like:

This is a coconut hand scrub and it smells lovely.  It is quite textured like a sugar scrub as you can see with the jar open:

The directions said to apply a good amount to your wet hands, scrub and then rinse off.  The scrub felt really nice on my hands and now they feel silky smooth and my cuticles look refreshed.  Here is how it looked while I was scrubbing my hands clean of dead skin cells:

Overall I am really really happy with Lush's Salted Coconut Hand Scrub!  It smells heavenly and makes my hands look lovely.  This is going to be perfect this Winter when my skin stays dried out!

Stamped Cacti Nails

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!  Today's nail polish is actually some stamped nail art! My Dad is currently in Arizona so I decided to pull from that and create some cacti nails.  First I needed to pick out my polishes:

Color Club "Meet Me At The Rink," Bundle Monster Color "Straight Up Black," Sephora by OPI "Leaf Him At The Altar," China Glaze "Lime After Lime," Sally Hansen Insta-Dri "Thyme Is Money," OPI "How Does Your Zen Garden Grow?," Maniology "Seashell" and OPI "California Raspberry."

The next step was to paint my nails with two coats of Color Club's "Meet Me At The Rink" to create the sky behind the cacti.  My nails then looked like this before I added the Live Love Polish Precision Peel cuticle protector:

To create the cacti I used Bundle Monster's BM-S168 plate which looks like this:

The final step was to use Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" to pick up the cacti and then a dotting tool to dab the greens and pinks on to the design and then placed the design on my nail.  Look how the design turned out up close:

If you want to know more about Sephora by OPI's"Leaf Him At The Altar"China Glaze's "Lime After Lime"Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's "Thyme Is Money" or OPI's "California Raspberry" then check out a few of my previous posts.

Overall I love how this cute desert design turned out!  I am still not quite the master of stamping or reverse stamping but I am enjoying the process.  In the mean time I'll smile at my cacti nails for several days!
