September 2016 Nail Art!

Hi guys!  It has been a while since I have done some nail art, so I thought it was about time to change that!  I wanted to do a simple nail art that has some gorgeous jewel tone polishes in it so I settled on triangular tips!  Here are the polishes I used:

A England's "Saint George" and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Golden-I"

To create this fun nail art I used A England's "Saint George" and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Golden-I."  The process is petty simple, I started by applying a base coat (I use Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Invisible") and then two coats of A England's "Saint George."  I finished it off by applying a quick drying top coat (I use Orly's "Sec'N'Dry.")  After letting my nails dry completely I then used some nail art Striping Tape, which can be found on Amazon in a variety of colors) to make triangles on the tips of my nails.  I then quickly applied two coats of Sally Hansen's "Golden-I."  My nails then looked like this:

I used tweezers to pull off the Striping Tape and then applied another coat of my quick drying top coat.  After that it was all about touching up and removing any polish that got on my skin!  This triangular nail art was as simple as that!

Overall I love how fun and easy this nail art was to do and wear!  By using an emerald colored polish with a gold accent it looked fun and fancy without too much effort!  I will definitely try this nail art again and with some other color combinations!

Orly "Darkest Shadow"

Hi everyone!  We're halfway to the weekend!  (We can totally make it!)  Today's nail polish is Orly's "Darkest Shadow" which is a perfect polish for Halloween!

"Darkest Shadow" is a pretty black nail polish with red micro-glitter and shimmer.  The formula of this polish was perfect and it was extremely easy to apply.  After only one coat, "Darkest Shadow" was completely opaque and streak free!  (And who doesn't love a one-coater nail polish!)  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five full days before there were any noticeable chips.

Overall I am very impressed with Orly's "Darkest Shadow."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I plan on wearing this polish a lot throughout Autumn and Winter!

(The set is one polish short because one dried out.)

"Mix & Mingle" is a pretty purple nail polish that works perfectly for Autumn and Winter.  The formula of this polish was fantastic and very easy to apply!  After two coats of polish, "Mix & Mingle" was entirely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for a week (that's seven full days!) before there were some small chips.

Overall I am very happy with China Glaze's "Mix & Mingle."  Everything about this nail polish is great and I will definitely be wearing it again very soon!

Rimmel London "Piccasilly Line"

Hi guys!  I can't believe the weekend is almost over, again!  Today's nail polish is Rimmel London's "Piccasilly Line." When I saw the name of this polish, I knew I had to have it.  I have a weird love of all things London, particularly the Tube.

"Piccasilly Line" is a gorgeous deep fuchsia colored nail polish.  The formula of "Piccasilly Line" was really good and easy to apply.  My only struggle in applying Rimmel London nail polishes is that the bottles have very wide brushes, and I have narrow nail beds.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Piccasilly Line" for six full days before there were any visible tip chips.

Overall I am very happy with Rimmel London's "Piccasilly Line."  There is nothing aside from the bottle's brush size that I can complain about this nail polish.  I will definitely be wearing "Piccasilly Line" again very soon!

Nicole by OPI "Hint Of Mint"

Hi all and happy Friday!  Who else is excited for the weekend?  This weekend our town is having a big BBQ contest so I picked out a bright end of Summer color!  Today's nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "Hint Of Mint."

"Hint Of Mint" as its name suggests is a very pretty pastel mint colored polish.  The formula of this polish was good and it was easy to apply.  After two coats of polish, "Hint Of Mint" was not completely opaque, however there were no visible streak marks.   I was able to wear "Hint Of Mint" for three days before there were a few small tip chips.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Nicole by OPI's "Hint Of Mint"  The formula is good and the application was great, however it was not opaque and did not look as good on my nails as I would have hoped.  The color in the bottle is so lovely and I had hoped it would look just as nice on my nails.
