Maybelline "High Style Sienna"

Hello all and happy almost weekend!  Who else is looking forward to the holiday weekend?  Today's nail polish is Maybelline's "High Style Sienna" which is part of their Vintage Leather collection.

"High Style Sienna" is a light chocolate brown color.  Formula wise "High Style Sienna" was fantastic and very easy to apply.  After two coats, the polish was entirely opaque and streak free!  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "High Style Sienna" for six days before there were any chips.

As part of the Vintage Leather collection, "High Style Sienna" has a matte finish prior to top coat.  Here's how it looked, which I think it unique and very cool.

Overall I am very pleased with Maybelline's "High Style Sienna."  Everything about this nail polish is wonderful and I will certainly be wearing it a lot more often!

Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat "Tweedy"

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone is having a nice week - and if you live in Texas you are safe from the hurricane!  Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat's "Tweedy."

"Tweedy" is a fun textured black and white bar glitter polish.  The formula of "Tweedy" was a little thick, but it made it easier to spread the glitter evenly on my nails.  After two coats the polish was not opaque, which was to be expected since it is bar glitter.  Like many glittery polishes they are meant to be worn over colored polishes.  I decided to test some out and here's how it turned out:

The first nail polish I decided to test out with "Tweedy" was Ciaté's "Life's A Peach."  This combination was great and I would definitely wear it again!

The second nail polish I tested out with "Tweedy" was OPI's "Love Athletes In Cleats."  This combo was fun and reminded me of a bandanna!  I cannot wait to pull this out next time I need Western themed nails!

If you want to know more about Ciate's Life's A Peach" or OPI's "Love Athletes In Cleats" check out my posts from earlier this year!

Overall I am happy with Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat's "Tweedy."  It is a fun black and white bar glitter that I would like to try out with some other polishes too!

Nicole by OPI "Poised For Turquoise"

Hi everyone and happy Sunday!  I hope everyone has nice relaxing plans for the day!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "Poised For Turquoise."

"Poised For Turquoise" is a lovely blue colored polish that reminds me of a bright clear Summer sky.  Formula wise this polish was great and very easy to apply.  After two coats, "Poised For Turquoise" was almost entirely opaque and had only one to two tiny streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for four days before I noticed any tip chips.

Overall I really like Nicole by OPI's "Poised For Turquoise."  Everything about this nail polish is nice and I can hardly wait to wear this polish again!

Sinful Colors "V. I. Peach"

Hi all and happy happy Friday!  Today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "V. I. Peach" a matte peach colored polish that is part of a Kylie Jenner collection.

"V. I. Peach" is a shimmer matte peach colored polish with golden flecks.  Formula wise this nail polish was pretty good however I did need to wipe the brush otherwise it would have flooded my cuticles.  After two coats, "V. I. Peach" was mostly opaque but did have a few streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "V. I. Peach" for three or four days before there were a few tip chips. Since this nail polish is matte (seen in the picture above) I decided to try it with a shiny top coat too!

Overall Sinful Colors "V. I. Peach" is a good nail polish and has a nice color.  I would wear this nail polish again, however I wish peach looked better with my skin tone.

Milani "Pool Party"

Hello guys! We've made it halfway through another week!  (Who else is ready for the weekend?) Today's nail polish is Milani's "Pool Party."  This polish is very old, so let's see if it is worth wearing or keeping!

"Pool Party" is a bright turquoise colored polish with a golden shimmer.  Formula wise this polish was surprisingly watery.  After two coats, "Pool Party" was definitely not opaque and there were some streak marks created because of the shimmer.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Pool Party" for about two days before it began to flake right off.

Overall I am not surprised by Milani's "Pool Party."  I have had this nail polish for years and I believe it has just gone past its usable time frame.  I had tried other Milani polishes with good success and would be willing to give this color another go - if I could find another bottle.

Orly "Pink Chocolate"

Hello all!  I hope everyone was able to enjoy the eclipse today.  I had a stunning 93% coverage and it was so cool to watch!  Today's nail polish is Orly's "Pink Chocolate."  This nail polish is my Mom's very favorite and she wears it all the time so I am pretty excited to try it out!

"Pink Chocolate" is a lovely pink-ish brown that is nice and Earthy.  Formula wise this polish was perfect.  After only one coat, "Pink Chocolate" was entirely opaque and streak free.  Though as always, I added a second coat for the picture.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for a full week before my nails grew out and needed to be repainted.

Overall I am really impressed by Orly's "Pink Chocolate."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I can definitely tell why it is my Mom's favorite.  I will definitely wear "Pink Chocolate" more often (if I can get the bottle back from my Mom!  Haha.)

Bundle Monster Plate BM-S408: Cloud Nails

Hello all and happy Sunday!  Today's extra post of nail polish is actually nail art!  I recently ordered some more stamping plates on Bundle Monster's website and I couldn't wait to try them out!  Today's plate is BM-S408 which looks like this:

To create this look I first used two coats of Pop-arazzi's "Shell me More."  Then I used Bundle Monster's "Poli-Peel" around my nails to make clean up easier.  "Poli-Peel" is a literally a life saver! Finally I used the stamping plate with Bundle Monster's "Bam! White" stamping polish to put the cloud designs on my nails.

Overall I am in love with this look!  It was super easy to create and reminds me endlessly of the perfect Summer day spent cloud gazing and daydreaming!  I also received a lot of compliments on these nails, which is always nice!

If you want to know more about Pop-arazzi's "Shell Me More" check out my post from earlier this year!

Covergirl "Violet Flicker"

Hello all and happy Saturday!  Today's nail polish is Covergirl's "Violet Flicker."  This nail polish was part of a limited edition collection honoring the movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

"Violet Flicker" is a deep purple polish with silver, purple and green shimmer and micro-glitter.  Formula wise this nail polish was fantastic and applied very easily to my nails.  After two coats, "Violet Flicker" was almost entirely opaque except for a few small spots on the tip of the nail.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this polish for three days before there were some noticeable tip chips.

Overall I like Covergirl's "Violet Flicker."  The color and formula of this nail polish was perfect and I think with a third coat added there would most likely be no streak marks.  I am definitely game to wear this polish again soon!

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Ice Queen"

Hi guys and happy almost Friday!  (Who else is ready for the weekend!)  Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Hard As Nails' "Ice Queen."

"Ice Queen" is a pretty blue, purple and silver glitter in a clear base.  It is a very girly polish that I quite like.  Formula wise "Ice Queen" was watery, however I was easily able to dab the glitter on to my nail easily.  As with many glitters, "Ice Queen" is meant to be worn on top of some colored polishes, so I decided to test some combinations out!

The first polish I decided to test out with "Ice Queen" was OPI's "Meet Me On The Star Ferry."  This combination was beautiful and very subtle.  They went together so well that you wouldn't even know it was two separate polishes.  I will definitely wear these two polishes together again!

The second nail polish I decided to test with "Ice Queen" is OPI's "Give Me Space."  This combination turned out to look like the glittery night sky!  And to date has been one of my favorite looks!

If you want to know more about OPI's "Meet Me On The Star Ferry" or OPI's "Give Me Space" check out my posts from earlier this year.

Overall I am pleased by Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Ice Queen."  While not a beautiful looking polish in the bottle it combines very well with lots of polishes to create some fun looks!  I can't wait to try out some more polishes with "Ice Queen"!

OPI "Give Me Space"

Hello guys and happy Tuesday!  Today's nail polish is OPI's "Give Me Space" which I think has a really great name.  (Because sometimes we can all use a little space!)

"Give Me Space" is a beautiful deep royal blue polish with a holographic shimmer.  Formula wise, this nail polish was perfect and applied with ease.  After only one coat of polish, "Give Me Space" was completely opaque and streak free.  However I added a second coat for the picture above (as always).  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Give Me Space" for six days before I noticed any chips.

Overall I am really pleased by OPI's "Give Me Space."  Everything about this nail polish is wonderful, especially the fact that it can be worn as a one-coater!  I will certainly be wearing this nail polish a lot more often!

Essie "Turquoise & Caicos"

Hi everyone!  I am home from vacation now and I can't believe I have to go back to work tomorrow. I wish I could still be in the mountains!  But anyways, today's nail polish is Essie's "Turquoise & Caicos."

"Turquoise & Caicos" is a lovely aquamarine colored nail polish.  Formula wise, "Turquoise & Caicos" was good and applied pretty well.  However I did have to wipe the brush almost empty as to not flood my nail beds.  After two coats the polish was not at all opaque and you could still see my nail.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Turquoise & Caicos" for only only one day because it did not look great on my nails.  (That being said when I applied a third coat it looked and wore much better!)

In a previous post I compared Essie's "Turquoise & Caicos" to a few other aquamarine polishes to see if there were any dupes.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Essie's "Turquoise & Caicos."  I absolutely adore the color but it was annoying that even after thee coats there were still some visible streak marks.  I will probably stick to wearing the OPI dupe for "Turquoise & Caicos" that I have., however I would be willing to give this polish another go.

Sinful Colors "Treasure Chest"

Hello guys and happy happy Friday!  I had the day off of work and went to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.  (It is the largest privately owned home in the United States and a favorite place of mine!) So without further ado, today's nail polish is Sinful Colors "Treasure Chest."

"Treasure Chest" is a gorgeous aquamarine colored blue polish with a silver shimmer that reminds me of the ocean!  Formula wise this nail polish was perfect and went on my nails without any trouble!  After two coats, "Treasure Chest" was entirely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this polish for four days before there were a few chips.

Overall I love Sinful Colors "Treasure Chest."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I can't wait to wear it again very soon!

Essie "Going Guru"

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday!  Today's nail polish is Essie's "Going Guru" which was part of Essie's 2016 Resort Collection. My "Going Guru" comes from the Resort Collection mini set which looks like this:

"Going Guru" is a gorgeous mint green colored polish and looks absolutely lovely against my slightly tanned self!  Formula wise this nail polish was very watery and took some patience to apply.  After two coats, "Going Guru" was surprisingly opaque, though there were.a couple of visible streak marks. In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Going Guru" for three to four days before it began to flake off.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Essie's "Going Guru."  I adore the pistachio color but the formula was difficult to work with.  In the end I will probably give this nail polish another go and see if I have better luck next time.

China Glaze "Pink Or Swim"

Hello guys!  Hopefully we've all survived Monday.  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Pink Or Swim" which came as part of a mini collection called Roommates.  The set looks like this:

"Pink Or Swim" is a lovely, light, baby pink polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was perfect and extremely easy to apply.  After two coats, "Pink Or Swim" was entirely opaque and completely streak free, which is not always the case with pastel polishes.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five full days before I noticed any chips.

Overall I am really happy with China Glaze's "Pink Or Swim."  I absolutely love this nail polish because the color is so lovely and it was so easy to apply and wear!  I will definitely wear "Pink Or Swim" again very soon!

OPI "Love Athletes In Cleats"

Hi guys and happy happy Saturday!  (I was so ready for the weekend!)  Today's nail polish is OPI's "Love Athletes In Cleats."  As an avid fan of baseball I couldn't love this collection more!

"Love Athletes In Cleats" is a fun bright red nail polish with a hint of red shimmer.  Formula wise this polish was perfect and very easy to apply.  After only one coat, "Love Athletes In Cleats" was completely opaque and streak free.  However, I applied a second coat for the picture above.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five days before I noticed a couple of tiny chips.

Overall I am thrilled with OPI's "Love Athletes In Cleats."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I can't wait to wear it again!

Dupe Post: Deborah Lippmann "Happy Birthday" and Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie"

Hello all and happy Thursday!  Today's post is a comparison of Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday and Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie."  Both of these polish are rainbow colored glitter polishes that looked identical in the bottles.  Here is a side-by-side comparison of the bottles:

Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday" and Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie"

As you can see they polishes looked identical in the bottle and they were definitely identical on the nail.  Both of them are absolutely gorgeous but application wise Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie" was far superior as the glitter applied better.  The main difference would be the price - Deborah Lippmann runs about $18 (USD) a bottle where Nicole by OPI runs closer to $8 (USD) a bottle.

If you want to know more about Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday"  or Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie" check out my post from earlier this year!

Overall I love the chunky rainbow glitter that both of these polishes have!  However given the choice Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow In The S-Kylie" wins over Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday" based on price and application.

Love & Beauty "Aqua"

Hello guys and happy August!  Today's nail polish is Love & Beauty's "Aqua."  This nail polish is an older version of Forever 21's nail polish.  Forever 21 is a fun, inexpensive clothing store where I love buying most of my clothes and occasionally some nail polish!

"Love & Beauty's "Aqua" is predictably an aquamarine colored polish.  Formula wise, "Aqua" was surprisingly good seeing as it was less than $2 (USD) for the bottle!  After two coats, the nail polish was entirely opaque and had no noticeable streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Aqua" for three days before it began to chip off.

Overall I am pleased by Love & Beauty's "Aqua."  This polish is my favorite color of all time and I was happily surprised at how nice this polish was considering it was so inexpensive.  I will definitely wear this nail polish again!
