OPI "Your Palapa Or Mine?"

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone has been enjoyng a relaxing weekend!  (I kind of don't want it to end!)  Today's nail polish is OPI's "Your Palapa Or Mine?"

"Your Palapa Or Mine?" is a lovely dark Kelly green nail polish.  Formula wise this polish was good and very easy to apply.  After two coats, "Your Palapa Or Mine?" was entirely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for four full days before the tips began to chip off.

Overall I like OPI's "Your Palapa Or Mine?" because it is perfect for Summer!  Everything about this nail polish was perfect and I will be wearing it again and again!

July Nail Art: 101 Dalmatians

Hello guys!  I can hardly believe July is nearly over and that we are over halfway through 2017!  I realized it had been a while since I had done a nail art post (that is not stamping), so I am changing that!  I decided to celebrate my favorite animated movie: 101 Dalmatians!  It has been my favorite since I was a little girl.  Here is the inspiration:

First off I selected my polishes.  I chose:

Bundle Monster Colors "Bam! White", "Straight Up Black", "So metal" and Sally Hansen Insta-Dry "Rapid Red"

I also used dotting tools I purchased on Amazon.  The set looks like this:

First I painted my nails white using Bundle Monster Color's "Bam! White" and then I used dotting tools with Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" to create to dalmatian dots.  After that I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dry's "Rapid Red" and a dotting tool to create Pongo's collar on my ring finger.  I finished the collar with Bundle Monster Color's "So Metal" as the tag.  I finished this design off with my favorite quick drying top coat, Orly's "Sec N' Dry."

Overall I am really happy with how this fun manicure turned out.  I loved wearing it and it took me back to the 90's and my fantastic childhood.  I will definitely keep this design in mind for the next time I go to Disney World!

If you want to know more about Sally Hansen Insta-Dry's "Rapid Red" check out my post from earlier this month!

Ciaté "Life's A Peach"

Hi all and happy Fri-YAY!  Today's nail polish is Ciaté's "Life's A Peach."  This polish was part of the 2015 Advent Calendar that Ciaté releases every year around Christmastime.  The 2015 set looks like this:

"Life's A Peach" is gorgeous pastel coral colored polish.  Formula wise "Life's A Peach" was fantastic and super easy to apply!  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Life's A Peach" for five full days before I noticed any tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Ciaté's "Life's A Peach."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I cannot wait to wear it again!  (Which will be soon because it is perfect for Summer!)

Nicole by OPI "Stand By Your Manny"

Hi everyone!  Today's nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "Stand By Your Manny" which was part of the Modern Family collection that came out a couple of years ago.  The collection is obviously based on the TV of the same name.

"Stand By Your Manny" is a gorgeous Carolina blue with a hint of silver shimmer.  Formula wise this nail polish was fantastic and very easy to apply.  After two coats of polish, "Stand By Your Manny" was not opaque - so I added a third coat for the picture above.  However the polish was streak free, which was great!  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Stand By Your Manny" for four full days before there were a couple of tip chips.

Overall I am really happy with Nicole by OPI's "Stand By Your Manny."  Everything about this nail polish is great and I can't wait to wear it again very soon!

China Glaze "Let's Shell-ebrate"

Hi guys!  I hope everyone survived Monday - mine was full of crazy drivers and meeting scheduling nightmares!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Let's Shell-ebrate" which is part of the Shell-ebration Time mini collection.  The set looks like this:

"Let's Shell-ebrate" is a pink and purple mini glitter in a clear base.  The formula of this nail polish was thick but that actually made it easy to even spread the glitter out.  After two coats of polish, "Let's Shell-ebrate" was not opaque but it was streak free.  As with many glitters they are meant to be worn as a top coat, so I decided to test that out!

The first polish I decided to try out with "Let's Shell-ebrate" was Julep's "Nellie,"  This combination was shimmery and very happy.  I would definitely wear this combination again!

If you want to know more about Julep's "Nellie" check out my post from earlier this year!

Overall I like China Glaze's "Let's Shell-ebrate."

Julep "Nellie"

Hi everyone and happy happy Saturday!  It was hot as the sun here today in North Carolina, and I decided to pick a bright pink to go with the weather!  Today's nail polish is Julep's "Nellie."

"Nellie" is a gorgeous fuchsia colored nail polish.  Formula wise "Nellie" was watery but as long as I wiped the brush well it was not difficult to apply.  After two coats, the polish was entirely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Nellie" for five days before there were some small tip chips.

If you want to see more of Julep's "Nellie" check out my Half Moon Mani from earlier this year!

Overall I really like Julep's "Nellie."  I love the color of this nail polish and how on I was able to wear this polish on my nails.  I can't wait to wear "Nellie" again.  (Also does it remind any one else of Little House on the Prairie?)

Nails INC "Jermyn Street"

Hello all!  We're almost to the weekend!  (Thankfully!)  Today's nail polish is Nails INC's "Jermyn Street" which is part of The London Collection that I purchased a while back from QVC.  The set looks like this:

"Jermyn Street"is an interesting light chocolate brown with a hint of dusty purple.  Formula wise this nail polish was good, but a little thick.  After two coats of polish, "Jermyn Street" was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks. As for chipping, I was able to wear "Jermyn Street" for three days before it began to chip off.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Nails INC's "Jermyn Street."  I love the beautiful color and its application however I do I wish I could have worn his polish longer before it chipped.  That being said I will wear this nail polish again.

Candie's "Supernova Sky"

Hi all!  To brighten up everyone's Tuesday here's a glitter!  Today's nail polish is Candie's "Supernova Sky."  The Candie's brand comes from an american store called Kohl's which sells items at a discount.

"Supernova Sky" is a pretty blue and silver chunky glitter in a clear base.  Formula wise this polish was watery and took some time to spread the glitter out evenly.  As with most glitters it isn't meant to be worn alone so I decided to test "Supernova Sky" out with some other polishes.  Here's how it turned out:

The first polish I decided to try out with "Supernova Sky" was China Glaze's "Boho Blues."  This combination was very blue and looked like the ocean in the sunlight.  I liked this combination a lot and it will be nice for Summer!

The second polish I decided to try with "Supernova Sky" was China Glaze's "About Layin' Out" which is a hot neon pink.  This combination was okay but it wasn't my favorite.

The third nail polish I decided to test out with "Supernova Sky" was Sally Hansen Insta-Dry's "Rapid Red."  This combination turned out nicely and I wore it happily for Memorial Day.  It would also be a great and easy look for the 4th of July!

If you want to know more about China Glaze's "Boho Blues" , China Glaze's "About Layin' Out" or Sally Hansen Insta-Dry's "Rapid Red" check out my posts from earlier this year!

Overall I like Candie's "Supernova Sky."  This polish looks nice on the nail which makes up for the patience it took to apply to my nail.  I will however wear "Supernova Sky" again because it is so sparkly and pretty!

Nocibé "Ah Les Hommes!"

Bonjour everyone!  I hope you all survived Monday!  Today's nail polish is Nocibé's "Ah Les Hommes!" which translates to "ah the men!"  Nocibé is a French brand and I purchased this polish in Paris, France in 2015.

"Ah Les Hommes!" is a gorgeous deep purple polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was extremely thick and difficult to apply, however I think my bottle is drying out as there was excess dried polish around the cap.  After two coats, "Ah Les Hommes!" was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for two days before it began to flake off.

Overall I do like Nocibé's "Ah Les Hommes!" but probably won't be able to wear it again unless I buy a new bottle, since mine has dried out.  That being said, I would wear this nail polish again if the bottle had not dried out.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dry "Rapid Red"

Hi guys!  Sorry for the lack of posts for a few days, I went to the mountains for my nephew's 2nd birthday and my laptop didn't like the wi-fi!  Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Insta-Dry's "Rapid Red." I was gifted this nail polish last Christmas and I have been keen to try it out!  The bottle advertises that all you need is one stroke, one coat and off you go.  So I was curious to see if this Insta-Dry polish held up to it's name!

"Rapid Red" is a bright, cherry red nail polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was very nice and easy to apply.  After one coat (as advertised on the bottle), this polish was surprisingly opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Rapid Red" for two days before it began to flake off.  However removing this nail polish was challenging as the polish went gloopy.  "Rapid Red" also stained my nails, which was disappointing.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Sally Hansen Insta-Dry's "Rapid Red."  The color is great and a one-coater however the stained nails and painful removal were a let down.  I am undecided on whether or not I will give this polish another try, but I definitely won't buy any of the other Insta-Dry colors.

China Glaze "Grass Is Lime Greener"

Hello all and happy happy Wednesday!  I am so excited for this weekend because I am going to the Appalachian mountains.  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Grass Is Lime Greener."

"Grass Is Lime Greener" is a neon lime green polish that is perfect for Summer!  Formula wise this polish was an odd mix of watery but difficult to apply.  I found that if I wiped the excess polish off then the brush would not glide along my nail in a nice even stroke.  But if I left all the polish on the brush then the polish spilled over my cuticle line.  (Which you can see in the picture above.)  After two coats, "Grass Is Lime Greener" was mostly opaque but had a ton of visible streak marks.  In fact it looked so terrible after only two coats (above picture) that I went back and applied a third coat (picture below) to see if it looked better.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Grass Is Lime Greener" for about two or three days before it began to chip off.

Overall I have mixed feelings about China Glaze's "Grass Is Lime Greener."  I adore the color of the polish and that was why I originally purchased this polish for that reason.  However the weird formula and the need for a third coat was slightly annoying.  That being said I will probably wear this nail polish again because I love the color!

OPI "Meet Me On The Star Ferry"

Hi everyone!  I've survived Monday and I hope you have too  Today's nail polish is OPI's "Meet Me On The Star Ferry" which came as part of OPI's Winter 2015 Feeling Berry Fine trio that ULTA releases every Black Friday.  The set looks like this:

"Meet Me On The Star Ferry" is a dark silvery purple colored polish.  The formula of this nail polish was nice and it was very easy to apply.  After two coats, "Meet Me On The Star Ferry" was entirely opaque and streak free.  I was actually happily surprised that there were no streak marks because "Meet Me On The Star Ferry" is a shimmery polish.  As for chipping, I was able to wear this polish for six straight days before there were a couple of minor chips.

Overall I am very pleased with OPI's "Meet Me On The Star Ferry."  Everything about this nail polish is great and I can't wait to wear it again soon!

Bunde Monster Plate BM-XL358: Gold Geometric

Hi everyone and happy Sunday.  Today's nail polish is actually some stamping nail art!  I decided to try out Bundle Monster's stamping plate BM-XL358.  The plate is called Gypsy Soul and it looks like this:

The stamping pattern I used is in the top right corner.  To create this design I used Julep's "Bess" as the base polish, which is a gorgeous sky blue.  Then I used Bundle Monster Color's "Heart Of Gold" along with Bundle Monster's clear stamper to place the look on my nails.  I finished the design with a quick drying top coat - my favorite one to use is Orly's "Sec'N'Dry."  The polishes look like this in the bottle:

Bundle Monster Color's "Heart Of Gold" and Julep's "Bess."

If you want to know more about Julep's "Bess" check out my post from earlier this year or if you'd rather see some other nail art using plate BM-XL358 check out my Gem Nails.

Overall I am really pleased with how this nail art turned out.  It was fun and Summery and I got a ton of compliments from people over this design.  I will definitely wear this design again!

Sephora Formula X "Gravity"

Hi guys and happy Saturday!  (Yay the weekend!)  Today's nail polish is Sephora Formula X's "Gravity."  As of this past Spring (2017) it appears that Sephora his discontinued production of this line of nail polish, which is quite disappointing.

"Gravity" is a lovely deep hunter green nail polish.  I love this color for Summer because it is cool and calming and reminds me of a walk through shady woods.  (But minus the spiders!)  The formula of this nail polish was perfect and extremely easy to apply.  After only one coat of polish, "Gravity" was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  But as always I applied a second coat of polish for the photos.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Gravity" for five days before I noticed some tiny chips.

Overall I am really happy with Sephora Formula X's "Gravity."  I can't find anything about this polish that I dislike or that I would change.  It is literally perfect and I am very sad that Sephora has discontinued this line of polish.

Wet N' Wild "Blue Moon"

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone in the United States has a lovely 4th of July and enjoyed the fireworks and BBQ's.  After my glittery red, white and blue nails I decided to tone it down today with Wet N' Wild's "Blue Moon."

"Blue Moon" is a deep turquoise polish with a blue and purple shimmer.  Formula wise this polish was very good and easy to apply.  After one coat of polish, "Blue Moon" was completely opaque and streak free.  However I applied two coats for the picture above.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Blue Moon" for five full days before there were a few visible tip chips.  Like many dark colored polishes I wondered if "Blue Moon" would stain my nails but I was pleasantly surprised to find that my nails were not stained t all when I removed this polish!

Overall I am really happy with Wet N' Wild's "Blue Moon."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing!  I definitely will wear this nail polish a lot more often!

Salon Perfect "Spirit Fingers"

Hello everyone and happy 4th of July!  (In case you aren't from the United States, 4th of July is our Independence Day when we finally became our own country and not a colony of the United Kingdom.)  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Salon Perfect's "Spirit Fingers."

"Spirit Fingers" is a chunky, star-shaped red, white and blue glitter in a clear base with micro-silver glitter.  It's gorgeous and very festive.  Formula wise "Spirit Fingers" was easy to apply and the star shaped glitter stuck well to the brush making it easy to get out of the bottle and on to my nails.  As with many glitters "Spirit Fingers" is meant to be a top coat and not worn alone so I decided to test it out over some colored polishes.

The first polish I decided to test out with "Spirit Fingers" was Sinful Colors "Sail La Vie."  This combination turned out nicely and are in the running to be the nail polish I wear for the 4th of July this year!

The second polish I decided to try out with "Spirit Fingers" was OPI's "Color So Hot It Berns."  This is another great combination for the 4th of July.  However it was a bit hard to see the red star glitters.

Overall Salon Perfect's "Spirit Fingers" is a really great nail polish.  Everything about it is fantastic from the name to its easy application.  I will definitely wear this nail polish again, especially for the 4th of July, Memorial Day and Labor Day.

If you want to know more about Sinful Colors "Sail La Vie" or OPI's "Color So Hot It Berns" be sure to check out my posts from earlier this year!

Nails INC "Chelsea Square"

Hello everyone!  Today's nail polish is Nails INC's "Chelsea Square" which is part of The London Collection set which was sold on QVC.  (QVC is an American TV channel that sells a variety of stuff.)  The set looks like this:

"Chelsea Square" is a hot pink glitter in a clear base.  Formula wise this nail polish was thick, but that worked in the polish's favor because it made it very easy to spread the glitter evenly.  After two coats, "Chelsea Square" was surprisingly opaque and had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Chelsea Square" for three days but then the glitter began to fall off in chunks, which was probably because it kept catching on everything.

Overall I am really pleased with Nails INC's "Chelsea Square."  The formula and glittery goodness are perfect and looked fantastic on my nails!  The only thing I wish was different was that I could have worn this nail polish longer!  I can hardly wait until I wear "Chelsea Square" again!
