Favorite Nail Polishes of 2019

Hi all and happy New Year's Eve!  To finish out 2019 and ring in the new year (and decade!) I decided to share my favorite nail polishes from this year.  Here they are in color order:

Overall it has been a fun year for nail polish.  I tried out a lot more indie brands and enjoyed every minute of it!  In 2020 I plan to try even more indie brands and can't wait to see where the nail polish adventure will take me next!

Happy 2020!

OPI "Seven Wonders Of OPI"

Hello all and happy New Year's Eve!  Who else is looking forward to ringing in the new year?  Today's first nail polish is OPI's "Seven Wonders Of OPI."  Look how pretty this Springtime color is:

"Seven Wonders Of OPI" is a pretty dusty lilac creme.  The formula of "Seven Wonders Of OPI" is really fantastic and it applied with ease.  After two coats the polish was entirely opaque with no visible streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Seven Wonders Of OPI" for six full days before I had a couple of minor tip chips.  How pretty is this color up close:

Overall I am in love with OPI's "Seven Wonders Of OPI."  Absolutely everything about this nail polish is perfect and I plan to wear this nail polish a lot once Spring rolls around!

Hello all and happy almost new year!  Today's second nail polish is Live Love Polish's "Scarab" which I'm thrilled to have in my collection because it is do pretty!  Look at it up close:

"Scarab" is a color shifting beauty.  It goes from purple/blue to orange/gold depending on the angle.  The formula of this nail polish was fantastic and it applied nicely to my nails.  After two coats of polish "Scarab" was fully opaque and streak free.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Scarab" for four days before I noticed an chips.  Look how lovely this polish is up close:

Overall I am in love with Live Love Polish's "Scarab."  This polish's formula is fantastic and the color is stunning!  I plan to wear this nail polish a lot more often and keep it in my collection for a long time to come.

Bundle Monster Color "Straight Up Black"

Hello guys and happy Monday!  Today's first nail polish is Bundle Monster Color's "Straight Up Black" which is a stamping polish.  Bundle Monster Color has rebranded and is now called Maniology - but they still sell awesome nail polish and stamping plates!  Here's how "Straight Up Black" looks in the bottle:

"Straight Up Black" is unsurprisingly a black nail polish, but it is designed to use with stamping plates.  The formula is very thick, which makes it difficult to wear as the base color but is fantastic for stamping designs.  After two coats the polish was nearly opaque but did get a couple of weird streak marks.  It was thick and goopy as a base coat so I actually didn't wear "Straight Up Black" out of the house but the thickness does fine when stamping actual designs.  Here's how it looked up close:

Overall Bundle Monster Colors "Straight Up Black" is great for stamped designs but not at all useful to me as a stand alone nail polish.  But that's okay because it just means I'll use it solely for nail art.

China Glaze "Free To Be Sesame"

Hi guys and happy Saturday evening!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Free To Be Sesame" from their Sesame Street collection.  Look at this pretty glitter:

"Free To Be Sesame" is a gorgeous green glitter.  The formula of "Free To Be Sesame" was really good and easy to apply.  The glitter was a little sheer but after three coats the polish was opaque and had no streaks.  As for chipping, I was wearing "Fee To Be Sesame" six days before I noticed any chips.  Look how shimmery and lovely the glitter is up close:
