OPI "Tile Art To Warm Your Heart"

Hi guys!  I can't believe that November is almost over!  Who else is ready for Christmas and New Year's?  Today's nail polish is a OPI's Tile Art To Warm The Heart" which is perfect for this cold Autumn/Winter day.

"Tile Art To Warm The Heart" is a gorgeous bright electric blue creme.  The formula of this nail polish was absolutely amazing and it applied with hardly any effort.  After two coats, "Tile Art To Warm The Heart" was entirely opaque with no visible streaks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Tile Art To Warm The Heart" for six days before there were some small tip wear and tear.

Overall I am loving OPI's "Tile Art To Warm The Heart."  I can't to wear this nail polish again and I think it will be a great year-round color to wear!

Nicole by OPI "Why Yellow There..."

Hello guys and happy Monday!  Today's nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "Why Yellow There..." which is actually a miss-labeled Sephora by OPI nail polish.  This came as part of a mini set that was purchased at a TJ Maxx several years ago.  The set looks like this:

"Why Yellow There..." is a lovely pastel yellow polish.  Formula wise this nail polish was good and applied easily to my nails.  After two coats, "Why Yellow There..." was not fully opaque and did have streak marks.  I opted to add a third coat to see if that helped, which it did.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Why Yellow There..." for two days before there were some small tip chips.

Overall Nicole by OPI's "Why Yellow There..." is an okay polish.  The formula is nice and the color pretty but I have several similar polishes so I am unsure whether I will keep this nail polish or not.

Sephora Formula X "Chroma-zone"

Hey all and happy Saturday!  I'm having a relaxing day of resting after Thanksgiving, Black Friday shopping and putting up all the Christmas decorations.  But without further ado, today's nail polish is Sephora Formula X's "Chroma-zone."

"Chroma-zone" is a fun pink shimmery polish!  Formula wise "Chroma-zone" was very easy to apply and looked nice on my nail.  Since this is a top coat I decided to test it out with a creme polish.

The nail polish I decided to try with "Chroma-zone" was Zoya's "Micky."  This combination was subtle and looked fantastic and would be perfect for a princess party or trip to Disney!

If you want to know more about Zoya's "Micky" check out my previous post!

Overall I really like Sephora Formula X's "Chroma-zone."  This iridescent shimmer is great and I plan to try it out with many other polishes in my collection!

Ice Cream Drip Nail Art

Hey guys and happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the United States who celebrates!  Today's nail polish is actually some fun ice cream drip nails. I've seen a ton of people on Instagram creating this design so I couldn't resist giving it a go myself!  (Even if is it cold outside and totally not ice cream weather!)

First off I selected these nail polishes to create the design with:

Essie's "Cocktails & Coconuts" and "Hot Coco", OPI's "Look At My Bow!" and "Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet", Color Club's "Tic-Tac-Toe", Sally Hansen Insta Dri's "Rapid Red" and OPI's "Tile Art To Warm The Heart."

Next I painted my nails with two coats of  Essie's "Cocktails & Coconuts."  This is a really nice light beige that works perfectly for a waffle cone.

Afterwards I used some dotting tools from Amazon  and Essie's "Hot Coco" to create the checked lines of the cone.  It looked so adorable:

Afterwards it was time to decide what flavor if ice cream to decorate my nails with!  I settled on strawberry (mainly because it is my favorite and also because I own a lot of pink nail polished to choose from!)  After that I used the dotting tool and OPI's "Look At My Bow!" to add ice cream drips to my nails.  Then my nails looked like this:

Lastly the ice cream needed some sprinkles - the best part of ice cream!  I used bunch of colored polishes to dot the sprinkles on.  Then I finished out with Orly's "Sec N' Dry" as the quick drying tip coat.  The finished look was adorable:

Overall aside from a bit of smudging I am really pleased with how this nail art turned out!  Now if only the weather would be warm enough to eat ice cream and have it melt.  (Is it Summer yet?)

OPI "It's A Piazza Cake"

Hi all and happy Tuesday!  For those of us in the United States Thanksgiving is just a few days away (long weekend anyone?) so to celebrate I picked a very fall color for my nail!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is OPI's "It's A Piazza Cake" for their 2015 Venice Collection.

"Its A Piazza Cake" is a really lovely pumpkin colored polish.  Formula wise, "It's A Piazza Cake" was perfect and applied with ease!  After two coat, this polish was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "It's A Piazza Cake" for six full days before it started to chip and grew out near my nail beds.

Overall I am loving OPI's "It's A Piazza Cake."  Everything about this polish is lovely and I cannot wait to wear it again and again!

Jordana "Purple Glam"

Hey guys and happy Sunday!  Today's nail polish is Jordana's "Purple Glam."  Jordana is a new brand for me that until I took trip to Edenton, North Carolina back int he Spring I had never seen before.  (Edenton by the way is a very cute adorable tiny town which was recently hit by hurricane Florence back in September.)

"Purple Glam" is unsurprisingly a purple nail polish but it has a variety of differently shaped silver glitter mixed in.  The formula of "Purple Glam" was quite nice and applied really well to my nails.  The glitter also spread evenly on my nails.  After only one coat of polish it was fully opaque and streak free.  That being said I always apply a second coat of polish for the photos and wear time.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for three days before I started to notice a few chips.

Overall I am really impressed by Jordana's "Purple Glam."  For an affordable drugstore brand held up well and has a fantastic formula!  And the color is lovely!  I can't wait to wear this nail polish again and hope to get some additional polishes by this brand!

"Bellas For Life (BFL)" is a really pretty purple blue shift with micro silver glitter.  Formula wise this polish was fantastic and applied really well.  After only a single coat, "Bellas For Life (BFL)" was fully opaque and streak free!  I did apply a second coat for the photos.  In terms of chipping, Was able to wear "Bellas For Life (BFL)" for four days before I had some small chips on the tips of my nails.

Overall I am really pleased by Live Love Polish's "Bellas For Life (BFL)."  There is nothing bad about this nail polish and I plan on wearing it again and again!

China Glaze "Lime After Lime"

Hi everyone!  Sorry for the inconsistent posting this week has gotten away from me as I've worked my full time job and done a bunch of babysitting on the side.  But without further ado, today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Lime After Lime."

"Lime After Lime" is a really great neon lime green nail polish!  The formula of this nail polish was s watery and it flooded my cuticles several times.  After two coats "Lime After Lime" was surprisingly opaque and streak free.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this polish for three days before it began to chip off.

Overall I have mixed feelings about China Glaze's "Lime After Lime."  The color is very fun but the formula was kind of stressful to work with and took a lot of time and patience to apply.

Make sure to follow the blog and keep up with all things nail polish and fun!

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!  Today's nail polish is Beautifully Disney's "Celtic Fire" which represents Merida from the movie Brave.  Beautifully Disney was a line of products carried exclusively at Disney parks but was retired a few years back.  "Celtic Fire" was part of a mini set called Fiery Spirit which looks like this:

"Celtic Fire" is a really great orange-red nail polish!  The formula of this nail polish was absolutely perfect and applied with ease.  After two coats "Celtic Fire" was completely opaque and streak free.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Celtic Fire" for five full days before I had a few tip chips.

Overall I am really happy with Beautifully Disney's "Celtic Fire."  Everything about this polish is perfect and it is a unique color in my collection.  I'll definitely keep it around until I run out!

"Thyme Is Money" is a really pretty pastel sage color.  Formula wise this polish was good and applied well.  After one coat "Thyme Is Money" was not fully opaque and did have a few streak marks.  However as always I apply a second coat to all of my nails.  After the second coat "Thyme Is Money"was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Thyme Is Money" for four days before there were a few chips.

Ciaté "Snow Globe"

Hello all and happy Tuesday!  This has been a long week so far and we have several days t go before I tis Friday again.  So until then I picked out a fun flakie to make my day happier, so without further ado, today's nail polish is Ciaté's "Snow Globe"

"Snow Globe" is an iridescent flakie polish.  Formula wise "Snow Globe" was watery but applied fairly well.  As it is meant to be worn as a top coat I decided to test it out over a few creme polishes.

The first polish I tested out with "Snow Globe" over Nicole by OPI's "Alex By The Books."  This combination was fun and looks very wintery.

The second polish I tried out with "Snow Globe" was OPI's "Glitzerland."  This combo was less noticeable but would be great for New Year's Eve!

If you want to know more about Nicole by OPI's "Alex By The Books" or OPI's "Glitzerland" check out my previous posts.

Overall I like Ciaté's "Snow Globe."  It is a fun flakie that looked great with all the colored polishes I tried with it!  I can't wait to wear it again and again!

OPI "Glitzerland"

Hi everyone and happy Sunday!  The sun was out all day - until the time change made the sun set at 5:30p.  But at least it has been a lovely weekend.  So without further ado, today's nail polish is OPI's "Glitzerland."

"Glitzerland" is a really pretty silver and gold shimmered polish!  The formula was watery and took a bit of patience to apply without flooding my nails.  After two coats "Glitzerland" was completely opaque but had a few minor streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for five full days before there were a few tip chips.

Overall I like how OPI's "Glitzerland" looked on my nails but the watery formula was definitely a downer.  That being said I think I'll keep this polish around for a while longer at least until I find some more gold polishes!

Cornhuskin' Nail Art

Hi all and happy Saturday!  So today's nail art is something different as it represents a unique tradition from my alma mater, Meredith College.  I graduated in 2012 but the tradition of Cornhuskin' is known to all MCGs! (Meredith College Girls.)  If you want to learn a bit more about what Cornhuskin' is you can look it up on YouTube.  But in short it is a class competition featuring skits, dancing and acting as the main event.

First I needed to select some corny colors!  I picked out these beauties:

Next it was time to start my nails.  I used Lisa Lacquer's "Pineapple Smoothie" as the base yellow.  Here's how it looked after two coats:

Next I used some basic dotting tools from Amazon to create the corn detail using OPI's "Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet", Covergirl's "Sulfur Blaze" and Pahlish's "Hufflepuff."  Here's how turned out:

After that it was time to add the leaves in green.  I used two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Green Thumb" for the leaves.  And after that I applied my quick drying top coat by Orly and my Cornhuskin' nails were done:

If you want to know more about Lisa Lacquer's "Pineapple Smoothie", Covergirl's "Sulfur Blaze" or SallyHansen Xtreme Wear's "Green Thumb" check out some of my previous posts!

Overall I love how they turned out and now I am all set to cheer on the current Meredith classes I the competition.  (Go evens!). Does your alma mater have any odd traditions or things that are uniquely theirs?  And if Cornhuskin' isn't your thing I'm pretty sure you can rock these for Thanksgiving!

OPI "Get Your Number"

Hi all and happy November!  Now that October has ended we will go back to other colored polishes. So without further ado, today's nail polish is OPI's "Get Your Number" which was part of the Mariah Carey collection from several years ago.  The mini set looked like this:

"Get Your Number" is a gorgeous royal blue textured polish.  The formula of "Get Your Number" was amazing and applied very well to my nails.  After two coats the polish was entirely opaque with no visible streak marks.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Get Your Number" for three days before the tips began to have some wear and tear.  The only slightly disappointing part was the polish wasn't as textured as I had hoped it would be.

Overall I like OPI's "Get Your Number."  The color and formula were wonderful and I'll for sure wear it again soon - even though it wasn't very textured.
