Orly "Blend"

Hi guys!  Happy Leap Day!  I like leap years because the extra day is always a nice bonus!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Orly's "Blend."

"Blend" is a very pretty dusty lavender color that is very natural and neutral.  Formula wise this nail polish is good but leans a bit to the thick side which meant I couldn't get even layers on my nails.  After two coats of polish "Blend" was completely opaque but there were some visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Blend" for about three days before there were obvious chips.

Overall I have mixed feeling on Orly's "Blend."  I love the color but it was a bit difficult to apply and it chipped pretty quickly for a polish that took me a while to put on.  I will probably wear "Blend" again and maybe with practice it will be easier to apply.

SpaRitual "Intuition"

Hi all!  Today's nail polish is a new to me brand called SpaRitual which I picked up at my local ULTA store.  The brand retails for around $12 (USD) a bottle and is a five-free and Vegan friendly nail polish.  (Which is nice since I never really thought about how a Vegan may be unable to use certain products, an oversight on my part.)  So without further ado today's nail polish is SpaRitual's "Intuition."

"Intuition" is a gorgeous deep purple nail polish featuring a dark blue shimmer.  Formula wise this nail polish is good, but slightly on the watery side.  After two coats, "Intuition" was almost completely opaque, but there were a few streak marks and uneven spots.  As for chipping I was only able to wear "Intuition" for about two days before it started to rub off the tips of my nails, which was a bit disappointing.

Overall I am slightly disappointed by SpaRitual's "Intuition."  The color is gorgeous and the polish was easy enough to apply but it had streak marks and it chipped very quickly.  Since the biggest problem with "Intuition" was chipping I would be willing to give this nail polish another go, and maybe next time it will last longer on my nails.

Candie's "Disco Chic"

Hi guys!  I hope everyone is enjoying February and looking forward to Spring arriving soon!  Today I decided to pull out a super fun chunky glitter polish and that polish is Candie's "Disco Chic."

"Disco Chic" is a shiny purple chunky glitter polish in a clear base!  Formula wise this nail polish was surprisingly easy to apply for a glitter polish.  As with most glitters it wasn't meant to be opaque and instead was meant to be worn as a top coat, so I decided to test it out over some other nail polishes.  Here's how it turned out:

The nail polish I decided to test out with "Disco Chic" is China Glaze's "Wanderlust" which is a pastel lavender colored polish with a gold shimmer.  The combination of purples turned out fantastic and looked so nice together.

If you want to know more about China Glaze's "Wanderlust" check out my post from earlier this year here.

Overall I am very pleased with Candie's "Disco Chic."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic from the color to the application!  I definitely plan on wearing this nail polish again soon!

Essie "Fall In Line"

Hi all!  While Autumn is long gone and Winter is almost over, I couldn't help but pull out a lovely Autumn colored polish!  (It's kind of fitting though since it is pouring rain in North Carolina right now!)  So today's nail polish is Essie's "Fall In Line."

"Fall In Line" is an interesting dusty grey-green nail polish.  Formula wise "Fall In Line" was nice and easy to apply.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and streak free.  Actually "Fall In Line" could almost be a one-coater, which I always love in a nail polish!  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Fall In Line" for about five full days before there were some small tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Essie's "Fall In Line."  Everything about this nail polish is nice, with my favorite part being that it can be worn as a one-coater!  I will definitely be wearing "Fall In Line" a lot more often when Autumn rolls back around.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Bold Gold"

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  Here in north Carolina the weather has been in the 50's and 60's this weekend and it feels amazing after a long cold Winter!  Today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Bold Gold."

"Bold Gold" is a fun chunky glitter polish that has black and gold glitter in a clear base.  The glitter comes in small, medium and large hexagonal glitter and some bar glitter.  Formula wise this polish is a bit watery and it was quite difficult to get the glitter out of the bottle and on to my nails.  However once the glitter is on the nail it looks really nice!  Since "Bold Gold" is meant to be worn as a top coat over colored polishes I am not sure how long it would last before chipping off.

With "Bold Gold" being a top coat I decided to test it out over Sephora by OPI's "Iris I Was Thinner."  The combination turned out quite nicely and the purple showed off the glitter quite nicely.

If you want to know more about "Iris I Was Thinner" check out my post from earlier this year here.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Bold Gold."  The glitter looked great on my nail and on top of colored polishes but it was annoying trying to get the glitter out of the bottle and on to my nail.  However despite the difficulty I will probably wear "Bold Gold" again once I figure out a better way to apply glitter polishes.

Sephora by OPI "Iris I Was Thinner"

Hi all!  So I was digging through my collection of nail polishes and came across an older nail polish that I have yet to try!  So I decided there was no time like the present, which means today's polish is Sephora by OPI's "Iris I Was Thinner."  Sephora by OPI is a brand of nail polish that OPI used to produced for Sephora stores.  It was discontinued a little more than two years ago.

"Iris I Was Thinner" is a lovely purple colored creme polish.  The formula of "Iris I Was Thinner" was pretty good but it was slightly difficult to apply because the brush is so thin and tiny!  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Iris I Was Thinner" for about four full days before there were some small tip chips.

Overall I am quite pleased with Sephora by OPI's "Iris I Was Thinner."  Most everything about this nail polish is great, with the only minor problem being the tiny brush that has to be used to apply the polish!  But while the brush is small it didn't cause too much of a problem.  I will definitely be wearing this nail polish some more as Spring and Summer arrive!

Sinful Colors "Ring The Bellini"

Hi everyone and a very happy Wednesday!  This Wednesday is a very exciting day because one of my best friend's is picking out her wedding dress!  So here's to wedding dress shopping with today's nail polish, which is Sinful Color's "Ring The Bellini."

"Ring The Bellini" is a bright orange jelly.  (A jelly is a nail polish that is not opaque and is typically extra shiny.)  The formula of "Ring The Bellini" was pretty good and it was easy to apply.  after two coats of polish, "Ring The Bellini" was not opaque  but there were no streak marks.  As for chipping I was only able to wear this polish for about a two days before there were some very obvious tip chips.

Overall I have mixed feelings about Sinful Color's "Ring The Bellini."  Most everything was nice about this polish like the color and formula.  But it was annoying that it chipped so quickly.  Also I'm not always a huge fan of jelly polishes because they aren't opaque.  But I am willing to give "Ring The Bellini" another go.

Covergirl "Scalding Emerald"

Hi everyone!  It's the day after Valentine's Day and it is snowing here in the South, which is actually just ice.  So I hope everyone else is having a warmer Monday than I am!  Today's nail polish is Covergirl's "Scalding Emerald" which is part of a special collection based on the film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

"Scalding Emerald" is a unique brownish-green glitter polish.  The color is actually much more green in the bottle but was quite a disappointment on the nail where it took on an ugly brown color with a yellow shimmer.  Formula wise "Scalding Emerald" was pretty easy to apply and went on in nice even coats.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping I'm not sure how long "Scalding Emerald" would last because I didn't wear it very long because I wasn't a fan of the color on my nails!

Overall I am a bit disappointed by Covergirl's "Scalding Emerald."  The polish did have some pluses in the form of a good formula and it was completely opaque.  Unfortunately the downside was the color was terrible looking on the nail!  I probably won't be wearing this nail polish again any time soon!

Nicole by OPI "Some Hearts"

Hi everyone and happy almost Valentine's Day!  While I'm not really a fan of Valentine's Day I do always enjoy the chance to wear a hot pink nail polish!  Today's nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "Some Hearts" which is part of the Carrie Underwood collection.

"Some Hearts" is a hot pink polish with a red base so it is very bright.  Formula wise "Some Hearts" was just right and the large brush made it very easy to apply.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and there were no visible streak marks.  As for chipping I was able to wear "Some Hearts" for about four days before I noticed any tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Nicole by OPI's "Some Hearts."  Everything about this nail polish is great and I loved how easy it was to apply!  I can't wait to wear "Some Hearts" again later year when the weather warms up and sandal season returns!

Thanks for reading my blog and have a happy Valentine's Day!  :)

China Glaze "Wanderlust"

Hi everyone!  Today's polish is a fun one that I have been dying to wear since I purchased it last year! The polish is China Glaze's "Wanderlust."  I absolutely love the word wanderlust which means the love of travel.  This polish is perfect for me because I love traveling whether it is to the Outer Banks or all the way to France I'm always up for an adventure!

"Wanderlust" is an absolutely gorgeous pastel lavender polish with some iridescent gold shimmer.  Formula wise this polish was amazingly easy to apply.  After two coats "Wanderlust" was completely opaque and streak free.  As for chipping I was able to wear this nail polish for six full days before there were any visible chips.

Overall I am in love with China Glaze's "Wanderlust."  Everything about this nail polish is perfect including the color and name!  And it was wonderful to be able to wear this polish for nearly a full week before there were chips!  I will definitely be wearing this nail polish again and again because it is perfect!

Thanks for reading my blog and happy travels!  :)

Peggy Sage "Banana Cake"

Hi all!  Now that it is February it has been about seven months since I went to France and I am missing it terribly.  Today I decided to pull out a French polish that I got in Rouen last July!  So without further ado today's nail polish is Peggy Sage's "Banana Cake."

"Banana Cake" is a lovely pastel yellow polish with white glitter in it.  According to the packaging "Banana Cake" is part of a Sugar Mix collection of polish, which I think is meant to be similar to the eggshell polishes here in the United States.  Formula wise "Banana Cake" was very easy to apply and looked nice on my nails!  Unfortunately "Banana Cake" was not completely opaque after two coats of polish, but there were no visible streak marks which was fantastic!  As for chipping I was able to wear this polish for about three days before there were a couple tip chips!

Overall I am quite pleased with Peggy Sage's "Banana Cake."  The color is lovely and the formula fantastic but it was a bit disappointing that it wasn't opaque after two coats of polish,  I will definitely be wearing "Banana Cake" again but next time I might apply three coats of nail polish!

OPI "Russian Navy"

Hi all and happy Super Bowl Sunday!  (Go Panthers!)  Winter is in full swing now and I couldn't resist pulling out a dark nail polish.  During Winter I always enjoy pulling out a few jewel tone polishes and today's polish is no exception!  So without further ado today's polish is OPI's "Russian Navy."

"Russian Navy" is not shockingly a navy colored nail polish.  Formula wise this polish was very easy to apply and was completely opaque and streak after two coats of nail polish.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Russian Navy" for about three or four days before there was some obvious chipping. With this polish being such a dark color I was worried about staining my nails and that fear somewhat came true.  I did have some minor staining on my nails when I removed "Russian Navy" but it was not as bad as it could have been.

Overall I quite like OPI's "Russian Navy."  Most everything about this nail polish is great, with the only problem being that it did somewhat stain my nails.  But even with the slightly stained nail I will wear "Russian Navy" again because the color is so pretty and looked great on my nails!

A England "Saint George"

Hi guys!  I'm super excited about today's polish which I have been dying to try for a long time now! Today's nail polish is A England's "Saint George."  A England is a British brand of nail polish that isn't readily available in the United States because nail polish is a hazardous material and they typically do not allow nail polish to fly.  Instead nail polish typically comes via ground but between England and the United States there is an ocean which presents a problem.  So all I could do was wait until I could get to Europe in person then I could carry the polish back myself.  Last July I finally got my wish and went to Paris, France for two weeks and while I was in Paris I went to this lovely little shop in the 11th called Nail Club which happily sells A England nail polish.  (I bought several bottles!)

Anyways back to today's polish: "Saint George."  "Saint George" is a gorgeous blue nail polish with green and blue micro-glitter.  Formula wise this polish is amazing and very easy to apply.  In fact it was so lovely that it could be worn as a one-coater!  (Though I applied two coats as I always do.) After two coats the polish as completely opaque and streak free.  I was able to wear "Saint George" for about four days before there were any tip chips.

Overall I am in love with A England's "Saint George."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I will definitely be wearing it again and again until the bottle runs out!  Also I can't say enough thank yous to the lovely staff at Nail Club in Paris who was so patient with me when I spoke no French and they spoke no English and who helped me pick out some gorgeous bottle of nail polish!

You can check out Nail Club's lovely website here.

Thanks for reading my blog and here's a fun picture of my visit to Paris!  :)

(We were there for Bastille Day and got to see the fireworks off the Eiffel Tower!)

OPI "Suzi Has A Swede Tooth"

Hi all and happy February!  With Valentine's Day just around the corner I couldn't resist pulling out a fun pink nail polish!  So today's nail polish is OPI's "Suzi Has A Swede Tooth" which is part of the Fall 2014 Nordic Collection.

"Suzi Has A Swede Tooth" is a lovely bubblegum pink nail polish with a blue base, making it a cooler shade of pink.  Formula wise this nail polish was very easy to apply and looked fabulous on my nails!  After two coats of polish, "Suzi Has A Swede Tooth" was completely opaque and streak free. As for chipping I was able to wear "Suzi Has A Swede Tooth" for about six days before there were some small tip chips.

Overall I really love OPI's "Suzi Has A Swede Tooth."  Everything about this nail polish if fantastic and I will definitely wear this nail polish again and again!  This polish has been one of my favorites that I have tried this year so far!

Thanks for reading my blog!  :)

Nails INC "Trafalgar Square"

Hi all and happy February!  I can't believe that January is already over!  So to celebrate the start of a new month I decided to pull out a holographic glitter polish!  Today's nail polish is Nails INC's "Trafalgar Square."

"Trafalgar Square" is a gorgeous holographic glitter in a clear base.  Formula wise this nail polish was very easy to apply and went on in nice even coats of polish!  Since "Trafalgar Square" is a glitter it isn't meant to be worn by itself so I decided to test it out over a few other polishes!

The first polish I decided to test out with "Trafalgar Square" is OPI's "You're So Vain-illa" which is a lovely beige colored nail polish.  This turned out to be such a lovely combination because it is so simple and looked good with everything I wore!

If you want to know more about "You're So Vain-illa" check out my post from earlier this year here.

The second polish I decided to try out with "Trafalgar Square" is Essie's "Flowerista" which is a berry colored polish.  This combination was perfect for the holiday season and I rocked it out for Christmas!

If you want to know more about Essie's "Flowerista" check out my post from last month here.

Overall I am very pleased with Nails INC's "Trafalgar Square."  I love how pretty and shimmer this polish is and how easy it was to apply!  In the future I plan on testing "Trafalgar Square" with lots of other colored polishes!
