Nicole by OPI "One Big Happy Fame-ily"

Hi everyone!  So this week I decided to dig into my nail polish collection to try another polish I had never tried and out came a Nicole by OPI nail polish!  This Nicole by OPI nail polish is part of the Kardashian Kolors and is called "One Big Happy Fame-ily."  It is a pretty lavender with a silver shimmer, which I find perfect for Springtime!  (I am after all ready for Spring to be here so the weather will warm up and the trees will bloom!)

I really like this color!  It is very light and shimmer and not too in your face.  As you can tell from the picture the nail polish looks darker in the bottle than it appears on your nails.  I used two coats of "One Big Happy Fame-ily" but I probably should have used a third coat just to make it more opaque.  (Notice how the tips of my nails are still a bit see through!)  In terms of application Nicole by OPI's "One Big Happy Fame-ily" went on really easily and did not leave any streak marks!  As for chipping I haven't had much.  I have been wearing the polish for about four days and I haven't had any chips at all, which is awesome!

Overall I am pretty impressed with Nicole by OPI's "One Big Happy Fame-ily."  It applies easily, lasts a long time without chipping, and is a gorgeous color!  The only thing that I am not so fond of is that this nail polish really should have three coats to make it look nice.

China Glaze "Dorothy Who?"

Hey guys!  Sorry it has been a bit since my last post.  Life just got super busy all of the sudden and I didn't even have time to paint my nails!  But I am back now with freshly painted nails!  :)  So this week I decided to dig into my nail polish bins (yes two full bins!) and look for a nail polish I hadn't tried yet!  And I found China Glaze's "Dorothy Who?" which is this gorgeous  royal blue glitter!  I love a good glitter polish so I decided to go for it!

So China Glaze's "Dorothy Who?" is this royal blue nail polish with loads of silver and blue glitter in it.  I was worried that with all of the glitter "Dorothy Who?" would be hard to apply, but I was so happy to be proved wrong!  It went on very easily and in nice coats, and it took only two coats to get a nice opaque look.  I was also worried about the dark color of the nail polish staining my skin and nails and once again China Glaze's "Dorothy Who?" surprised me not staining at all!  As for removing the nail polish, I was surprised how easy it was!  I use the cotton ball technique and "Dorothy Who?" came right off without too much work, which was such a nice surprise!

In the end I purchased this polish originally because of its reference to The Wizard of Oz but I am happy to report that I adore this nail polish!  The color is fantastic and an easy to apply glitter polish always a winner in my book!  I can't wait to wear this color this summer because it is super fun and perfect for the beach!

Thanks for reading my blog!  :)

EDIT: So while I still love this polish it chips so fast!  I barely wore the polish for 48 hours when massive pieces of polish began to flake off!  That is a little disappointing, but the color is still gorgeous and it applies so well for a glitter polish!  But I still plan on wearing this polish some because it is super pretty!

However, if you decide you want to give this polish a go it can be purchased on Amazon (affiliate link)

OPI "Suzi's Hungary AGAIN!"

Hi everyone!  So with Valentine's Day coming up in a few days I decided to paint my nails pink for the occasion!  I am super excited about this color which is OPI's "Suzi's Hungary Again."  This color just came out on February 6th and is part of OPI's Spring/Summer 2013 collection, which is called Euro Centrale.  The entire collection is fabulous, but I just bought a couple of the polishes that really caught my eye.  You can find this OPI collection at most ULTAs and each bottle retails for $9 (USA).

OPI's "Suzi's Hungary Again" is this gorgeous hot pink/coral color.  When I looked at the polish in the bottle the color looked pretty bright, but it is nothing compared to when you actually get it on your finger nails!  "Suzi's Hungary Again" almost wants to be a neon polish, which is super fun!  I really love the color and since it isn't a true neon polish there isn't any streaking.  Also the formula is fantastic!  Not too thick and hard to deal with but not too thin and watery either!  As for chipping I got the polish to last about 5 or 6 days before any chipping occurred, and even then the chips were mostly at the tips of my nails.  I am definitely super impressed with how long the OPI's "Suzi's Hungary Again" lasted!

Overall I love this nail polish!  Great color, no streaking, fabulous formula and very little chipping!  I cannot wait to rock this color some more this Spring and Summer!

Rimmel London "Sage All The Rage"

Happy February everyone!  So now that February has officially arrived, and Punxsutawney Phil has predicted an early end to Winter, I have started to think about Spring nail polish colors.  I mean let's face it I am totally over dark Winter colors and I am ready for some Springtime fun!  But I didn't want to suddenly pick a completely bright Spring color so I decided to pick a pretty muted green color!  I settled on Rimmel London's 60 Seconds in "Sage All The Rage"!  Now I have heard of Rimmel London before but this was my first time trying one of their nail polishes!  I was pretty excited to try their nail polish and I must say it did not disappoint!

So first off I purchased my Rimmel London nail polish from Wal-Mart, which sells the polish for $1.50 (USA).  I think that is a fantastic price for this nail polish!  Each bottle has .27 ounces, which is about half of an OPI or Essie bottle, which is a little sad until you consider that it is now $9 (USA) for a bottle of OPI (At ULTA) and only $1.50 (USA) for the Rimmel London, making it an extremely great deal!  The only thing I will say is that the nail polish does NOT dry in 60 seconds like the bottle claims.  It still took about 10-15 minutes for each coat to feel dry to the touch.  So that is a little disappointing, but the quality of the polish is still good and there was not a single streak mark on any of my nails.  The brush is fantastic as well!  It is wide enough to help apply the polish to your nails with relative ease, but not too wide that it makes it difficult to apply the polish.

So aside from my new found love of the brand Rimmel London I really do like the color "Sage All The Rage" which is this really pretty muted dusty sage color!  It is super pretty and feels very Spring-like without being overly bright!  Also since the polish is relatively neutral it still matches nicely with my Winter wardrobe.  As for chipping after about 3 days I began to notice some minor tip chip, but nothing too noticeable.  It wasn't until the end of day 5 that I saw extreme chipping.  The nail polish literally started to peel off in large chunks!  But for a nail polish that only cost $1.50 I am impressed that it lasted 5 days!  That is better than some of my more expensive polish!

Overall I am in love with Rimmel London's 60 Second nail polish and cannot wait to use it again!  As for the color "Sage All The Rage" I love it as well and it adds a unique color to my collection which I haven't had before!
