Orly "Snowcone"

Hi all!  I cannot believe July is already over!  To celebrate the fun of Summer I decided to pull out Orly's "Snowcone" because snowcones are a fun past time snack of Summertime!

"Snowcone" is a gorgeous dark sky blue polish!  Formula wise "Snowcone" is fantastic and it was super easy to apply!  After two coats of polish "Snowcone" was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear Orly's "Snowcone" for about four days before there were visible tip chips.

Overall I am very pleased with Orly's "Snowcone."  Everything about this nail polish is great and I have definitely worn this polish many times, and will continue to do so.

Nicole by OPI "Fresh Squeezed"

Hi everyone!  The sun finally came back out today so to celebrate I pulled out the brightest nail polish I could find!  Today's nail polish is Nicole by OPI's "Fresh Squeezed."

"Fresh Squeezed" is a fun, bright, orange glitter.  Formula wise this polish was easy to apply and didn't have any visible streak marks.  However I was disappointed that "Fresh Squeezed" refused to be opaque!  You could see straight through to the nail.  As for chipping because the nail polish wasn't opaque and didn't look that great on my nails I didn't wear it very long.  (Basically just to take pictures.)

Overall I am very disappointed in Nicole by OPI's "Fresh Squeezed."  I had been very excited to try out this nail polish, but it refused to be opaque on my nails and it meant that I couldn't wear it out of the house.  I will probably wear this nail polish as a topcoat over another nail polish, but definitely not alone again.

Sephora by OPI "Henna-thing Is Possible"

Hi everyone!  I hope y'all are having better weather than we are where I live because we haven't seen the sun in days!  So to brighten up today I decided to pull out a fun bright polish.  And that polish is Sephora by OPI's "Henna-thing Is Possible."

"Henna-thing Is Possible" is a bright pink fuchsia from the now discontinued Sephora by OPI nail polish line.  I got this polish in a set a few Christmases back.  The set came from QVC, which is a TV channel that sells a variety of things in the United States.  The full set looks like this:

Formula wise "Henna-thing Is Possible" is great!  It was super easy to apply and after two coats of nail polish there were no visible streak marks and the polish was completely opaque.  As for chipping I was able to wear "Henna-thing Is Possible" for about four days before there were some minor tip chips.

Overall I am very happy with Sephora by OPI's "Henna-thing Is Possible."  Everything about this nail polish is fantastic and I will definitely be wearing it again and again!

Side note: Since the Sephora by OPI brand is now discontinued this nail polish may be harder to find.

New York Color "Tudor City Teal"

Hi all!  I can't believe that July is almost over and around here school starts back in just a few weeks!  Where did Summer go?  Since I don't want Summer to be over I picked out a nice teal color out!  Today's nail polish is New York Color's "Tudor City Teal."

"Tudor City Teal" is a light dusty teal color, more similar to an aquamarine in my opinion.  Formula wise this polish was slightly watery but with a little patience it was fair enough to apply.  After two coats of color "Tudor City Teal" was not opaque and had visible streak marks so I decided to apply a third coat to see if it made any difference.  The third coat of "Tudor City Teal" made all the difference in the world because the nail polish became opaque and no longer had visible streak marks.  As for chipping all that extra polish didn't help and the chips started to be noticeable on the second day.

Overall I have mixed feelings about New York Color's "Tudor City Teal."  I really love the light dusty teal color and after three coats of polish it looked great on my nails but I'm not a fan of having to use three coats, or how quickly the nail polish chipped.  Also it was a bit of a Debbie Downer that the formula was watery making it slightly more difficult to apply.

Sinful Colors "Race Rubber"

Hi everyone!  Since it is a bit dreary out today (and a Monday) I thought I would pull out a darker colored polish!  So today's nail polish is Sinful Colors' "Race Rubber."

"Race Rubber" is a gorgeous deep burgundy color.  This nail polish is textured and has a sandy look, but I found the texture wasn't too noticeable.  Formula wise "Race Rubber" was super easy to apply!  After two coats the nail polish was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping I was able to wear "Race Rubber" for four full days before I noticed any chipping!

Overall I am very happy with Sinful Colors' "Race Rubber" and I plan on wearing this nail polish over and over again!

Ciaté "Slumber Party"

Hi everyone!  Now usually I post about nail polish but today's post is about a Ciaté glitter!  As part of Ciaté's 2014 Advent Calendar called Mini Mani Manor they included a few loose glitter which can be used to accent nail polishes.  So today's glitter is Ciaté's "Slumber Party."

The Advent Calendar looks like this on the outside:

Ciaté's "Slumber Party" is a micro-glitter that features black and gold glitter, however there is far more black glitter than gold.  Since the loose glitter isn't meant to be worn on its own I decided to pair it with a fun bright coral colored pink polish.  The coral colored polish I picked out is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Peach Beach."  I decided to decorate the tips of my nails in glitter (I meant to create an ombre effect though I think I missed the mark a bit haha.)

Overall I have mixed feelings with Ciaté's glitter.  It is so fine which made it hard to get enough on my nails and be visible at the same time.  Perhaps with practice I could get better, so I'll probably try again in the future!

China Glaze "Giver's Theme"

Hi all!  I hope everyone is enjoying thier weekend so far!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Giver's Theme" which is from the collection inspired by the movie The Giver.

"Giver's Theme" is a pretty purple color.  Formula wise "Giver's Theme" was slightly on the watery side, but still easy to apply.  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Giver's Theme" for about three days before there were some minor chips.

Overall I am pleased with China Glaze's "Giver's Theme."  Other than the very slightly watery formula "Giver's Theme" is a great nail polish!  I will definitely wear this polish again!
