China Glaze "Peonies & Park Ave"

Hi guys and happy Thursday!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Peonies & Park Ave" which I got in a mini set a couple of Christmases back.  Here's how this pretty polish looks in the bottle:

"Peonies & Park Ave" is a lovely neon pink polish.  The formula of "Peonies & Park Ave" was very good and applied nicely to my nails.  After two coats, this nail polish was completely opaque and only had a couple of streak marks.  The added bonus was the surprising twist of "Peonies & Park Ave" dried matte!  Look how nice the matte finish was:

While I love the matte finish, I really wanted to wear this neon beauty with a shiny finish.  So I applied a quick drying shiny top coat.  After that I was able to wear "Peonies & Park Ave" for six days before there were a couple of small tip chips.  Look at the neon glow:

Overall I am thrilled with China Glaze's "Peonies & Park Ave."  This neon pink is the perfect Spring and Summer color!  Do you love wearing pink nail polish for Spring and Summer too?

Essie "Fall For NYC"

Hello all and happy Wednesday!  I know Summer is in full swing, but I couldn't resist pulling out this gorgeous Autumnal color - Essie's "Fall For NYC."  (Though I suppose it works for Summertime to because it is bright like the sun!)  Here's how it looks in the bottle:

"Fall For NYC" is a stunning dusty orange creme.  The formula of "Fall For NYC" was slightly thick but it applied well to my nails.  My biggest complaint was the oddly wide brush in this Essie bottle.  It was so wide that I struggled to keep it from flooding my nail beds.  However after only a single coat "Fall For NYC" was completely opaque and streak free - though I did apply a second coat for testing wear time.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear this nail polish for three days before I had some noticeable tip chips.  The color is so gorgeous up close:

Overall I really live the color of Essie's "Fall For NYC" but I do wish the brush was not as wide since it makes it a bit difficult to apply.  That being said I will keep this color in my collection because it is so pretty!

Color Club "Bewitched"

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!  The sun was out in full force today so it was the perfect time for a holo!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Color Club's "Bewitched."  Here's how this beauty looks int he bottle:

"Bewitched" is a silver holo with a hint of golden shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish was perfect and it applied with complete ease.  After two coats, "Bewitched" was fully opaque and streak free.  As for chipping, I was able to wear "Bewitched" for five days before there were some minor chips.  Look at the holo up close:

Overall I am thrilled with Color Club's "Bewitched."  Absolutely everything about this polish is wonderful and I plan on wearing it until the bottle runs out!

Illimité "Pale Fire"

Hey guys and happy Monday!  The start to the week has been a little rocky (can anyone say urgent care?) but thankfully everything worked out fine.  So to brighten up my day I went with a happy pastel.  Today's nail polish is Illimité's "Pale Fire."  Look at this stunner in the bottle:

"Pale Fire" is a really gorgeous pastel violet with a golden iridescent shimmer.  The formula of this nail polish is really nice and applied easily to my nails.  After two coats "Pale Fire" was nearly opaque, except on the tips, so I decided to apply a third coat.  In terms of chipping, I was able to wear "Pale Fire" for four days before there were a couple of tip chips.  Look how lovely this nail polish is:

Overall I am really happy with Illimité's "Pale Fire."  The color of this nail polish is gorgeous and unique in my collection.  It is a neon pastel that I think will be a fan favorite for Summer 2019!

China Glaze "Electrify"

Hey everyone and a very happy Sunday!  Today's nail polish is China Glaze's "Electrify" which was part of their collection based on the movie The Hunger Games which came out in 2012.  Here's how this fiery glitter looks in the bottle:

"Electrify" is a really pretty red and gold micro glitter in a clear base coat.  The formula of "Electrify" is wonderful and the glitter applied perfectly!  After two coats "Electrify" was surprisingly nearly opaque, chichis fantastic for a glitter.  However since it is a glitter and can be worn as a top coat I decided to test it out over a few colored polishes.

The first nail polish I tested with "Electrify" was Clinique's "Happy."  This combination was fiery and was the perfect look a devil Halloween costume.  I quite like this combo and would wear it again!

The second nail polish was Wet N' Wild's "Lavender Pearlescent."  This was a lot girlies of a combination and would be great for Valentine's Day.  But seriously with this lovely glitter how could it not look nice?!?

Overall I am in love with China Glaze's "Electrify."  there is absolutely nothing bad about this nail polish other than I only own one bottle of it!  I can't wait to wear this nail polish again soon!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Lightshow"

Hi guys and a very happy Saturday!  The sun was out all day so I dug out another glitter nail polish!  So without further ado, today's nail polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Lightshow."  Here's how this glitter polish looks int he bottle"

"Lightshow" features silver bar glitter and pink and white hexagonal glitter all in a clear base.  The formula of this nail polish was horrific!  The clear base was watery but actually made my nails thick and goopy.  Plus the glitter refused to come out of the bottle and go onto my nail.  Look how goopy it made the nails:

However I decided despite the goop to try it out over a few opaque polishes.  Here's how that adventure turned out:  (Spoiler alert - it didn't go well.)

The first nail polish I tried out with "Lightshow" was Ciaté's "Hoopla."  This combination could have looked so nice if "Lightshow" hadn't gone all goopy and made my nails look rippled.

After the goopiness of the first attempt I decided to see how thin a coat of "Lightshow" I could use and still get glitter on my nails.  Here's how that turned out on Sephora by OPI's "Mermaid To Order."  The lack of glitter was sad but at least my nails weren't as thick.

The last attempt was over Sinful Colors "Rave New World."  I banked on my earlier attempts and was able to get a bit more glitter in this combination.  It was my best attempt to date, however I still didn't like the finished look.

However the glitter was uniquely pretty:

If you want to know more about Ciate "Hoopla", Sephora by OPI's "Mermaid To Order" or Sinful Colors "Rave New World" then check out some of my previous posts!

Overall I am very disappointed with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Lightshow."  The glitter is such a pretty combination in the bottle but it just didn't want to come out of the bottle and continued to make my nails thick and goopy.  This nail polish won't be in my collection for very much longer.

Color Club "Zodiac Attack"

Hey guys and happy happy Friday!  Lately the weeks seem to be flying by but the days drag on for ages.  Is anyone else having that experience too?  Today's nail polish is Color Club's "Zodiac Attack."  Look at this stunning glittery polish:

"Zodiac Attack" is an amazing grey, silver and purple chunky glitter in a clear polish.  The formula of this nail polish was good and it applied easily.  As "Zodiac Attack" is a glitter it is meant to be worn as a top coat, so I decided to test it out!

The first nail polish I tested with "Zodiac Attack" is Essie's "Blue-La-La."  This combination is gorgeous and it made me very happy to wear!

The second polish I tested with "Zodiac Attack" was Sephora by OPI's "Under My Trenchcoat."  This combo was actually quite nice but still demure enough for my to sneakily wear it to my desk job!

The third nail polish I tried out with "Zodiac Attack" was Live Love Polish's "Zodiac Attack."  This combination reminded me of the night sky!  Look at the glitter up close:

Overall I am really happy with Color Club's "Zodiac Attack."  Everything about this chunky glitter is pretty and fun!  I love how it looked with every polish I tried!
