Ciaté "Apple Custard"

Hi everyone and happy almost Thanksgiving!  With Thanksgiving coming up later this week all I can think about if food, especially dessert so I felt Ciaté's "Apple Custard" was the perfect fit for today's post!

Ciaté's "Apple Custard" is not surprisingly a green color.  It is a very pretty green that is an interesting and unique color.  It is bright, but at the same time has a hint of being dusty and also the polish is vibrant but also lighter.  I am in love with his gorgeous color!  Formula wise "Apple Custard" was very easy to apply and was completely opaque after two coats.  There were also no visible streak marks!  As for chipping "Apple Custard" lasted three days before it started to chip, and even then it was mostly tip chips.

Overall I am fairly pleased with Ciaté's "Apple Custard" because it is a fabulous color, a great formula that was easy to apply, opaque after two coats and had no streak marks, and it lasted three days before chipping!  I will definitely be wearing this polish again and again!

Wet 'n Wild "Eggplant Frost"

Hi everyone!  Happy one week until Thanksgiving!  (Seriously I am so ready for some delicious turkey and stuffing!)  Today's polish is Wet 'n Wild's "Eggplant Frost" which is a super pretty Autumn/Winter color!

"Eggplant Frost" is a deep plum purple polish with just a hint of silver shimmer in it.  Formula wise this polish is pretty good, the only thing that would make it just a little better was if the brush were slightly bigger.  The brush was so narrow that it didn't pick up a lot of polish and I ended up having to re-dip the brush to finish out each nail.  After two coats of polish "Eggplant Frost" was completely opaque and had only a few minor streak marks, which often happens with shimmer nail polish!  As for chipping "Eggplant Frost" lasted about two days before I had some major tip chips!  I think the tip chips were more obvious because it is a darker colored polish, but I still would have preferred to wear "Eggplant Frost" for longer!

Overall I really like Wet 'n Wild's "Eggplant Frost."  The color is gorgeous, the formula is good, it was opaque after two coats and had just a few minor streak marks!  The only disappointment was how quickly "Eggplant Frost" chipped!  However I will probably wear this nail polish again because there are times when I just want to wear a nail polish for special occasions!

Sephora by OPI "My Personal Serpent"

Hi guys!  Even though it isn't truly Winter yet, the weather begs to differ because it has been so cold the last few days!  So to go along with the icy cold weather today's nail polish is Sephora by OPI's "My Personal Serpent."  Sephora by OPI is a discontinued brand of nail polish so I'm not sure how easy it is to find this polish.

"My Personal Serpent" is a very pretty deep navy nail polish.  Formula wise "My Personal Serpent" is the tiniest bit watery, and when you pair that with the small brush head it was somewhat difficult to paint my nails.  After two coats of polish "My Personal Serpent" was completely opaque ad had no visible streak marks.  As for chipping I was able to wear this polish for about four days before the chips became noticeable.

Overall Sephora by OPI's "My Personal Serpent" is a nice polish.  Everything about this nail polish is lovely except the slightly watery formula, however I think with a little practice the application would get easier.  I will definitely be wearing this nail polish again and again!

Milani "Sugar Rush"

Hi guys!  Another Autumn day, and another Autumn polish!  Today I decided to try out Milani's "Sugar Rush" which reminds of of the changing leaves!  Also I have never tried a Milani nail polish before so I was super excited to try it out!

Milani's "Sugar Rush" is a major glitter polish that has white, silver, peach, and light green glitter in a clear base.  The glitters are all pastel and remind me of Autumn because they aren't bright like a lot of glitter polishes.  Formula wise "Sugar Rush" is very watery but with a little patience it was still easy enough to apply.  Since "Sugar Rush" is in a clear base coat I decided to test it out over several different colored cream polishes!

The first polish I decided to try with "Sugar Rush" was Julep "Leah" which is a grass green polish.  I thought that a bright green would pull out the pastel green glitter in Milani's "Sugar Rush" but it didn't.  Instead it showed off the peach colored glitter.  It doesn't look horrible but it wasn't my favorite combination.

The second nail polish I decided to try out with "Sugar Rush" was Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "White On" which is (obviously) a white nail polish.  This look turned out to be very unique because as I spread the glitter out on my nail it seemed to blend with the white polish to create a layered look.  The way this combination turned out is one of my favorites!

The third and final polish I decided to try with "Sugar Rush" is Essie's "Romper Room" which is a light baby pink polish.  Even though none of the glitter is pink I thought the combination of colored glitter would look nice together.  I really like this combination because the light pink polish really makes the green and orange glitter pop!

Overall I really like Milani's "Sugar Rush" because the glitter colors are such a fun and unique combination.  I will definitely be wearing this polish a lot and I hope to try it out over many more different crème colored base polishes.

Julie G "Butterflies & Rosebuds"

Hi guys!  Happy Veteran's Day and thanks to all who serve and have served!  Now that weather is colder I decided to pull out a gorgeous berry colored polish to start off the fun for Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks (at least here in the USA.)  Today's nail polish is Julie G's "Butterflies & Rosebuds."

"Butterflies & Rosebuds" is a deep berry polish with gorgeous gold glitter in it!  It looks gorgeous in the sunlight!  The formula of "Butterflies & Rosebuds" is amazing and it was super easy to apply!  After two coats the polish was completely opaque and had absolutely no visible streak marks!  As for chipping "Butterflies & Rosebuds" lasted about three days before the chipping became so horrible that I had to remove the polish.  (As you can see in the photo above and that was after only a day and a half!)

Overall I am pleased with Julie G's "Butterflies & Rosebuds" because the color is gorgeous, the formula is very nice and easy to apply and after two coats of polish there were no streak marks and the polish was completely opaque!  While I would have preferred to wear "Butterflies & Rosebuds" longer before it chipped, three days isn't too bad.  I will definitely be wearing this polish over and over again!

Julep "Leah"

Hi guys!  So now that Autumn is in full swing and the leaves have started to change and the weather has gotten cold I am already dreaming on next Spring when the weather warms back up!  So today I decided to pull out a Springtime nail polish and pretend that Winter is over (before it even starts!)  Today's polish is Julep's "Leah."

"Leah" is a gorgeous grass green polish that has a very faint shimmer to it!  It reminds me of Spring when everything turns green and comes back to life!  Formula wise "Leah" is good and it was very easy to apply.  After two coats of polish "Leah" was completely opaque and only had a couple of minor streak marks, which was probably because of the faint shimmer.  As for chipping "Leah" lasted for about a day before it started to nick and chip, which was definitely disappointing.

Overall I like Julep's "Leah."  The color is so pretty, the formula is nice and I am always happy when a nail polish is opaque after two coats of polish!  However it was disappointing that "Leah" chipped so quickly!  I will probably give Julep's "Leah" another chance and see if it chips as easily the next time around.

OPI "Miss Piggy's Big Number"

Hi all!  Happy November!  I hope everyone enjoyed their extra hour of sleep the other night when Daylight Savings Time ended!  To celebrate the extra hour I picked out a fun blue nail polish by OPI called "Miss Piggy's Big Number."

"Miss Piggy's Big Number" is  royal blue shimmer that shines nicely in the light!  (As you can probably tell from the picture!)  Formula wise "Miss Piggy's Big Number" is good and was fairly easy to apply.  The only slightly difficult part of applying this polish was the brush which did not seem to want to hold any polish and meant it was hard to get nice even brush stroked.  After two coats of polish "Miss Piggy's Big Number" was almost completely opaque but it did has a fair amount of streak marks, which it isn't too surprising that there are streak marks because it is a shimmery polish.  As for chipping it is hard to say since "Miss Piggy's Big Number" did not seem to want to dry!  After applying a nice coat of Orly's "Sec'N'Dry" (my preferred quick drying top coat) and waiting a good amount of time for my nails to set, "Miss Piggy's Big Number" began to smudge off onto anything my nails came in contact with.  Which was very disappointing.

Overall I have mixed feelings about OPI's "Miss Piggy's Big Number."  The formula was nice and the color is very pretty, but it was disappointing that the polish was not completely opaque and that it refused to dry and could not be worn for longer! I am going to give this nail polish another try when the weather gets warm again because perhaps the temperature might make a difference.
